Grass root nonsense! Let's see if he will still come to eat popcorn in the market after he has cajole people to vote for him. It is all packaging, good governance may not necessarily please majority of the populace. For any govt to remove moral decadence from society and put structures in place he must step on toes, example Muritala Mohammed administration.
If govt is too complacent as to share allocations rather than collect tax to provide necessary infrastructure in the name of grass root politics, providence will judge such generation.
Education / Re: HND vs First Degree Battle Is Now In Court by globatop: 11:48pm On Jul 06, 2014
Bsc and HND are meant for different field of work, especially the technical aspect of study. HND holders are trained for execution of projects while Bsc holders are trained for design works. They are meant to be parallel career, but where are the industries that will absorb HND graduates in a country that have no power supply, a country that has been turned to consumer nation, where every graduate is now sales executives promoting foreign made goods.
HND holders are suppose to be doyens of industries, as far as production is concerned, but industries now prefer Bsc holders bcause of unemployment rate.

Education / Re: Federal Universities Should Have Tuition Fees - Pro-Chancellors by globatop: 10:56pm On Jul 06, 2014
University education is not meant for all, but our society abhor other certifications like technical, technological and artisans, hence the clamour for uni education. Another point is the lack of power supply and other infractructures as well as govt supports that could make non graduates function on their professions.

Another angle is uni funding: if our politicians that earn outrageous salary can not sacrifice their pay for future of better uni education, is it the children of the poor that will sacrifice their future?
It is a good dream to have Nigerian uni listed among the first 20 in the world, but if such dream were pursued in the 60s will it not have killed the dreams of our so call leaders, the proponent of fee paying public university.
Nigeria always put the cart b4 the horse always, student loan! How would such student be able to pay if he remain applicant 4yrs after graduation?
We should deemphasis uni education by recognising other certifications like technical, technological, even vocationals. Why should poly granduands be subordinate or inferior to uni graduands? If the clamour is always for a degree then I suggest all institutions be converted to degree awarding institution, or what is the essence of producing a product that is not marketable.

No evidence of their action as no one was allowed to to snap pictures, social media phobia.
If it is true, then that's the result of impunity from both sides. Why should the officer ride his bike on BRT lane, again why should BRT driver drive recklessly, and why should military go on rampage. Is Naija a jungle?

when the evils of the society are been exposed, we should not be partisan, ethnical or religious. The exposure surely will clean the society, only the truthful individual could lead the country aright.
One vice leads to other, whoever forges certificate to get a position can never be trusted with public fund.

Politics / Re: Pat Utomi To Run As Delta State Gov In 2015 by globatop: 10:48pm On Jan 04, 2014
@Munky, I salute you for being a Nigerian of my dream, most of the Igbo here on naira land closed their eyes to wave of development in other region. The earlier we support credible pple irrespective of their party affiliation, the best for this nation. I will support any party, tribe or individual that can take us to promise land. Jonathan disappointed me, cause I mobile vote for him.
Politics / Re: Pat Utomi To Run As Delta State Gov In 2015 by globatop: 5:49am On Jan 04, 2014
Am surprised at the position of Igbo members on this forum on APC.
Not in this century should we still be playing regional politics, APC is a national party like PDP, Bola Tinubu is just a single individual in that party like any other person. The score card of ACN is better than that of PDP, it is only enemy of progress that will prefer PDP to APC judging from developmental projects going on in southwest states controlled by ACN. My take is, if APC could capture states in other regions, such developmental projects could be replicated all over Nigeria.
Its time to look beyond ethnic background of any political party, rather focus on the pedigree of aspirants, with the performance level in ACN, no governor from APC would want to under perform.
And if u must know, other party has their own vices, don't kill APC because of mere individuals

Bola Tinubu might be a thieve in Ur own view, but he has used his loot to liberate his pple from the clutches of PDP, if your state could contribute to his course, Ur youth will remain in Ur state rather than come to develop southwest and say it is no man's land.

It is time for Igbo nation to change their ethnic sentiment if they will ever produce Nigeria President. Whatever happened between Awolowo and Zik should be history by now, after all Hubert Marcauly was a Yoruba indigene he handed mantel of his party leadership to Zik.

Investment / A Letter To Daddy by globatop: 11:53am On Nov 23, 2013
A father passing by his teenage daughter's bedroom was astonished to
see the bed was nicely made and everything was neat and tidy.

Then he saw an envelope propped up prominently on the centre of the pillow. It was addressed "Dad". With the worst premonition, he opened
the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:-

Dear Dad,
It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you, but I'm
leaving home. I had to elope with my new boyfriend Randy because I
wanted to avoid a scene with Mom and you.

I've been finding real passion with Randy and he is so nice to me. I
know when you meet him you'll like him too - even with all his
piercing, tattoos, and motorcycle clothes. But it's not only the
passion Dad, I'm pregnant and Randy said that he wants me to have the
kid and that we can be very happy together.

Even though Randy is much older than me (anyway, 42 isn't so old these
days is it? ), and has no money, really these things shouldn't stand
in the way of our relationship, don't you agree?

Randy has a great CD collection; he already owns a trailer in the
woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. It's true he
has other girlfriends as well but I know he'll be faithful to me in
his own way. He wants to have many more children with me and that's
now one of my dreams too.

Randy taught me that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone and he'll be
growing it for us and we'll trade it with our friends for all the
cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science
will find a cure for AIDS so Randy can get better; he sure deserves
it!!

Don't worry Dad, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of
myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know
your grandchildren.

Your loving daughter,
Rosie.

At the bottom of the page were the letters " PTO".
Hands still trembling, her father turned the sheet, and read:

PS:
Dad, none of the above is true. I'm over at the neighbor's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than my report card that's in my desk center drawer. Please sign it and call me when it is safe for me to come home.

I love you!
Your loving daughter,
Rossie

sexymoma: Caro wrote jamb for 8yrs but couldn't get an admission..
Then she was adviced to go for part time programme... she went o
Now caro is one of the most successful chartered accountant in Nigeria

If we abolish part time study hmm so many dreams will be abolish too

[b][/b][/sub]Dont ask me who caro is o[sub][sub][/sub]

I share your view, but what percentage of part time graduates could be as good as CARO, (afterall DAME P JONA Full or Part time is a graduate), even the lecturers in those schools did not always help matters, everything is always "copy and paste". Their pronunciation at times always give them away. Some are even students by proxy, in part time program everything has its price and could be bought.

The country value paper qualification more than professionalism, if there is power supply, you could see that we dont need as much universities not to talk of part time schools, majority of china products are manufactured in someone's flat, what we need is power and the backing of good financial policy, then university patronage will reduce, we dont need PART TIME SCHOOLS most times it is mere rip off.

It is easier to pass law to protect the looters. Are looters not hardened criminals too. Looters are murderers. Death penalty should be passed on looters. Food for thought. Politicians sat on national resources, Civil servant milk the masses thru multiple taxations and unnecessary policies, what is police Biometric CMR, why should I replace my number plate, the not kind hearthed resort to crime, that is vicious circle.

UNTIMELY DEATH!!!!!!!!

..... BE SURE YOU SCROLL WAY DOWN TO SEE WHAT THIS MESSAGE HOLDS FOR YOU!!!! YOU JUST MIGHT BE SURPRISED!!! I WAS!!!

D ID YOU KNOW
THESE FACTS?

I SURE DIDN'T TILL NOW

Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death!

Make a personal reflection about this........

Very interesting, read until the end....

It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7):

'Be not deceived; God is not mocked:

for whatsoever a man sow,
that shall he also reap..

Here are some
men and women
who mocked
God :

John Lennon
(Singer):

Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:
'Christianity will end, it will disappear

I do not have to argue about that.. I am certain.
Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him' (1966).

Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

Tancredo
Neves (President of Brazil
):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.
Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

Cazuza
(Bi-sexual Brazilian
composer, singer and poet):
During A show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ), while smoking his cigarette,
he puffed out some smoke into the air and said:'God, that's for you.'
He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner...

The man who
built the Titanic
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be.
With an ironic tone he said:'Not even God can sink it.
The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic

Marilyn Monroe
(Actress
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show.
He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:
'I don't need your Jesus'.
A week later, she was found dead in her apartment

Bon Scott
(Singer)
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:
'Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway t

On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.

Campinas (IN 2005)
In Campinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend.....
The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness
of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car:
'My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You.'
She responded: 'Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here.....It's Already Full '
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died,
the car could not be recognized, what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact
The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact.
To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken

Christine
Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and
entertainer) said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.
In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle

Many more
important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus.

Many have
died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

'Jesus'

PS:
If it was a
joke, you would have sent it to everyone.
So are you going to
have courage to send this?.

I have done my
part, Jesus said

'If you are
embarrassed about me,

I will also
be embarrassed about you before my father.'

You
are my 8 in 8 seconds. I am not breaking this. No way!

I'M
TOLD THIS WORKS!!!!! Bishop T.D. Jakes '8 Second Prayer.' Just repeat this prayer and see how God moves!!

'Lord, I love you and I need you, come into my heart, and bless me, my family,
my home, and my friends, in Jesus' name.
Amen.'

Pass
this message to 8 people {EXCEPT YOU AND ME}...You will receive a miracle tomorrow. I Hope that you don't ignore and

let God
bless you .....
