What is Diabetes and how does it affect lives?
Type 2 Diabetes is traceable to the Malfunctioning of a small organ in our body called:
THE PANCREAS........

This organ is meant to produce enough INSULIN in our body system that helps to convert the sugar in our blood system into convertible energy that should be used for the full functioning of the body. But when there is low production of insulin in our body, every other thing in the body is affected because the sugar in the blood cannot be converted which leads to high blood sugar and diabetes. Hence the reason for the recorded higher deaths than HIV/AIDS

I could easily call it one of the deadliest diseases.

Is there any way around it? Medically, you will be told that there is no cure and you will have to live with it for the rest of your life. Which to me is miserable!

And this just doesn’t make any sense…

The chairman arrest is a stale news. He has since been released and rejoined with his family. Meeting was held in Abuja some days ago and our people just left Abuja to their various destinations. It is all about the ploy of custom not to get this Natforce registered citing NEPOTISM and DUPLICATION of parastata. If God wants, Natforce will receive the approval of legislature and the executive arms. I did not follow my state boss to Abuja, but he said there is no cause for alarm. We shall laugh last!!!

As part of efforts aimed at providing jobs for the teaming unemployed Nigerian youths and curbing the activities of insurgents in the country the National Taskforce to Combat the Illegal Importation of Goods, Small Arms, Ammunition and Light Weapons (NATFORCE) on Wednesday pledged to create about three million jobs within one year.
This is as it called for the disbandment of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for having failed to deliver on its mandate of fighting corruption in the country.
Director General of NATFORCE and President,
Importers Association of Nigeria (IMAN), Emmanuel Osita Okereke, addressing newsmen in Abuja.
According to him, “Boko Haram is as a result of lack of jobs; we are going to create jobs for Nigerian youths.
“In the next one year, we would create about three million jobs to engage our youths and get them off the streets.
“We are also calling fo the disbandment of the EFCC as they have compromised, they take money from people and seize their properties illegally, I took loans to assist the nation only to be scandalised by the EFCC.
“The effects of illegal arms and weapons of terror in Nigeria are self explanatory and calls for a concerted effort by all and sundry to successfully prosecute this war against terror.
“The support, collaboration and involvement of all genuine stakeholders is a condition precedent to winning the war.
“It is within this framework that the proposition of certain organised private sector stakeholders, like the Importers Association of Nigeria (IMAN), was accepted by government to set up a special task force to combat illegal importation and smuggling of small arms, a munitions and light weapons into Nigeria”, he added.
He stated: “IMAN seeking to absolve itself of any culpability for the influx of illegal arms into the country keyed into the crusade by partnering with government in the composition of the National Taskforce to Combat Illegal Importation and Smuggling of
Small Arms, Ammunition and Ligh Weapons (NATFORCE).
“The task force was jointly inaugurated by the former Minister of Finance, Dr. Olusegun Aganga, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr, Danladi Kifasi, and the former National Security Adviser, represented by Brig. Gen Bala Ali on July 16, 2010.
“The NATFORCE was given the following mandate, to identify the sources and main routes of these small arms, ammunition and light weapons, to identify why the illicit trade thrives in Nigeria, to liaise with the relevant authorities, agencies and organisations with the aim of making a success of the assignment, to put in place all other machinery needed for the successful prosecution of the campaign to combat illegal importation and smuggling of small arms, ammunition and light weapons into the country among others”, he added.

Nigeria has become the first Africa country to sign and ratify the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olugbenga Ashiru, has disclosed.
“Nigeria becomes the first African country to sign and ratify the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT).
“This landmark event represents our deep commitment to a treaty which establishes common international standards for the import, export and transfer of conventional arms.
“We remain resolute and unyielding in our efforts to uphold the principle of ATT and, in particular, ensure that small arms and light
weapons are appropriately transferred and access denied to terrorist groups, pirates, bandits and the like,” Mr. Ashiru said while signing the treaty.
He noted that Nigeria co-sponsored the treaty and coordinated the African group throughout the process of negotiation of the treaty. According to the minister, the adoption of the treaty was a realisation of efforts that started in 2006, following the adoption of the United Nations resolution 61/89.
Mr. Ashiru explained that the resolution recommended the establishment of common international standards for the import, export and transfer of conventional arms.
The spokesperson for Control Arms, Anna Macdonald, in her remarks at the event, noted that throughout the negotiations on the ATT, Nigeria was a leader for the African continent. “We are proud of Nigeria’s leadership again today as Foreign Minister Olugbenga Ashiru simultaneously signs and ratifies this first ever global agreement regulating the transfer of arms and ammunition. “Africa has long suffered the impact of an arms trade that is out of control. From Somalia to Mali to the DRC, weapons have been entering conflict zones and increasing the level of violence for decades. “Other African countries must now step forward and follow Nigeria’s lead. The continent needs an ATT that is in effect and implemented as soon as possible. “With over 80 countries’ signatures and several ratifications since the treaty opened for signature, there is momentum to urgently ensure the ATT becomes international law and starts saving lives. “Fifty ratifications are needed for the treaty to enter into force, and
we call on all states to get to work on their national legislation as soon as possible,” she said. (NAN)

Piresios: @harve,i don't need to exchange any words with u. Sincerity matters alot.Mind u,am a girl nt a boy..definitely,if u par-adventure get the work,u will be one of the corrupt officer.God is watching !

My Lady! Pls pardon my insincerity ma. I think most of us should by now understand that NATFORCE is at this moment a voluntary organization, and in this kind of Organization, you are expected to found yourselves. Most importantly, the volunteering could come in cash, kind, and free service. Voluntary organizations have no financier, or sponsor, they generate found within through contributions. I grumbled too after paying 60k (and intend to pay 22k5h training fee and handout) but was calmed down after I got deeply involved in the NATFORCE matter. For the records ma, Natforce for now is a voluntary org. And intending members are to join of their own volitions. The Ekiti office is of standard than Civil defence office, and I must give kudos to the volunteers that paid that much to secure that office. My lady, once again ma, pardon me my insincerity!

My brother, what is evil in paying for the exam you want to sit for? Examination materials, examination centers, exam supervisors, marking, sms alert , radio and television advertisement etc will all cost money nah. Is it too much if you are asked to pay just 1k for all these? Have you ever been to the State headquarters at Little by Little plaza in Ado Ekiti? That office from my guess will cost the command noffing less than 200-250k per year. Office chairs, Tables, Computers, Stencils, stationeries, office maintenance, utilities etc... All these require a lot of money my brother.

You parted with 60K and yet all you have in return is "waiting for a miracle"? How can anyone be this dumb?
I bet by 2015,you'll still be praying while sending your money to the scammers behind this scheme!
Make una keep paying and praying.
Paying ke? I only paid that much once, and since then I have been asked to pay training fee 20k, and hand-out 3k which I refused to pay until I hear it has been pronounced legal, legitimate agency in Nigeria. Though you asked, how dumb I was, you can as well call thousands of us dumb cuz we parted with some sums of money at one point or the other.

My brother, dont be fed with fabricated lies. No single newspaper or internet carried the story of purported NASS' Approval. Or are our national assembly members not sitting in hallow chamber again? Though, I am one of the most hit candidates jostling for this Natforce job. I have parted with nothing less than N60,000.00 my hard earned money just because I was looking for a well paid job. I have my appointment/employment letter and I.D card duly signed by the Executives of IMAN, but are as at this moment useless. My uncle at the ministry of Interior tells me no green light for now. I just hope miracle would happen unexpectedly.

Well deserved feat bro! Congrats!! I am a chelsea fan, and I dont see anything special in Oscar, and harzard, that would have made them make the list. Moses, drogba, Yaya, Kalou, Mba etc all played in the last AFCON, and we all saw the brilliance in Mba. Nigerians, we should start appreciating our own, this will make outsiders appreciate us.

A delegation of the National Task Force on Illegal Importation
and Smuggling of Goods, Small Arms, Ammunition and Light
Weapons, set up by the Importers' Association of Nigeria (IMAN)
last Thursday got more than it bargained while on a
familiarisation visit to the National Secretariat of the Association
of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Amuwo Odofin,
Lagos, as the Association's leadership queried the body’s claims
of authorised existence.
Members of the delegation barely concealed their individual and
collective discomfiture, listening to the ANLCA leadership cast
doubts about the legality of the task force's existence.
The ANLCA National President of ANLCA, Prince Olayiwola Shittu,
having listened to the leader of the delegation, the taskforce’s
Lagos State Director/Coordinator, Col. Friday Imoko (rtd), state
the team’s support- seeking mission, said that, although ANLCA
would readily partner with any agency set up to secure lives and
property, it is, however, hesitant about partnering with the task
force, as it is not aware of the task force’s acclaimed government
backing.
He said: “If you want to work sincerely, you work with sincerity. If
government set up a process, that process is sent by information
to everybody. Till now, there are a lot of our people who believe
that your task force is shrouded in secrecy. Tell your hierarchy
that if they want any solution or assistance from us they should
place their cards on the table openly. Let us know where we are
going. If it is something we don’t want to get involved in, we will
tell you that we are not interested! All we want you to do is to let
the government be aware that you want to be the policemen of
your own import, and government will tell us your modality of
operations. But we cannot do anything that is not sanctioned by
the government.”
To amplify Shittu’s suspicions about the task force’s claims of
working with government security agencies, Secretary of ANLCA
Apapa Chapter, Sir Frank Obiejesie, narrated an incidence, where
he allegedly witnessed operatives of the Nigeria Police Force
(NPF)dismantle a road block set up by the task force on Ijora
Bridge.

I paid 57k to register at Osun state command, the state chairman sent me message to come for training in one of the secondary schools in Ilorin, and said I should come with another 20k training fee, and 2k5h for handout. I just ignored his message, and looking for the time it will be recognized by FG
