.. What is your plan or blue print for the Biafra he envisions? How many states are gonna be in it? Has he gotten the tribes/Nigerian states buy-in to join Biafra? What will be the boundary of the new entity? What form or type of government would we run, what kind of currency/economy? The school system structure, healthcare, public sector, internal and external defense, budget? He (Kanu) has not been able to explain in real tangible tit bits how been a biafran citizen will add value to each Igbo man's present state... As in will he become better off or worse off in terms of his finances/business/ wealth....how will he convert the properties he had elsewhere to naira and bring it into Biafra? How will his cash be converted? What rate will be used? What is the biafran currency? Will it be recognized within and beyond Biafra as a legal tender? Will the average Igbo man have to start life all over again? How will his (the average Igbo man's) children who are already Nigerians treat their new citizenship? Will they want to be biafran or Nigerian? How will the social structure and system be like to re-orientate and integrate the new citizens? What will the banking system be like? How will he handle the power struggle and class struggle that will erupt from the creation of Biafra from Igbo sons and daughters who are already recognized figures... These and a lot more salient issues need to be addressed by Kanu/agitators/Igbo people as a lot before thinking of secession. If these issues and more are not addressed and a clear position on all achieved, the new state will be created, but it will immediately be saddled with huge problems and chaos due to the lack of a clear, workable and collectively agreed blue print and agenda to move forward #copied

PDP can never govern Lagos – APC
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress says it is impossible for the Peoples Democratic Party to take control of the state.

The APC, therefore, said it was not surprised that the Lagos State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal struck out a petition filed by the PDP governorship candidate in the state, Mr. Jimi Agbaje.

Prior to the court ruling, the PDP had hoped to upturn the victory of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and had expressed the confidence that Agbaje would ‘recover his stolen mandate’.

Reacting to the court’s ruling, however, the APC said it was obvious from the outset that Ambode’s victory would be reaffirmed.

In a statement by its publicity secretary, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, the ruling party said that the possibility of the PDP winning the governorship race was as impossible as “a goat giving birth to a lion”.

It said the tribunal’s verdict remains a huge testimony that the people of the state know their leaders and their leaders know them.

The statement read, “The PDP in Lagos had said they did everything to win Lagos, including setting one ethnic group against the other, dishing out millions of dollars and pound sterling, unleashing ethnic militias like the Oodua People’s Congress, deploying security agencies, SURE-P outlaws and others to harass and intimidate Lagosians to succumb and surrender Lagos to them.”

“Lagos PDP failed because there is no meeting point between light and darkness, no meeting point between the serious and the unserious, no meeting point between conservatives and progressives, and no meeting point between performers and underperformers.

“How can you move a car forward by engaging the reverse gear? How can you plant cassava and hope to harvest yam? Can a goat give birth to a lion?

“The truth is that Lagos has always been in the hands of progressives since it was created in 1967 and the strong and dynamic Lagos will continue to remain in the hands of the progressives for a long time to come. Progressives will continue to strive for greater heights in raising standards not only in Lagos but the whole of Nigeria.”

While congratulating Ambode, the APC urged the governor to improve on the performance of his predecessor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola.

I weep for Nigeria, is this the kind of youths that wanna take the mantle of leadership tomorrow. Baseless comments and insults on Nairaland recently. EFCC arrest Ohakim for corruption, an Igbo man would complain, they arrested Fani-Kayode for corruption also the yoruba man did same, they arrested Nyako for corruption the Hausa/Fulain man would complain also, they arrested Silvia for corruption the Ijaw man also complained, Ibori was jailed for corruption the Niger-deltan's said it was not fair, if they arrest Dezani tomorrow, Niger-delta would complain, if Odua is jailed for corruption the south-east would want a break-up, if Babaginda is jailed for corruption the entire north will take up arms, if Fayoshe is impeached for wrong doings the west would be vexed. Senator's are getting huge pay against the good of all, Nigerians are complaining, Governors are loothing, Nigerians complain too, Buhari promised to fight corruption, Nigerians are complaining, Buhari has started the fight on corruption via EFCC, still Nigerians are complaining. What do Nigerians truely want for themselves? They want things to change but do not want change. Untill Nigerians do away with sentiments of tribe or religion they can never get a better nation where there would be justice, fairness, development and progress for all.

I saw a lot of funny things.the crowd there was similar to that of the redemption camp at a distance .I saw a lot of folks kitted like business men,some from the word go I already denied them in my mind.funniest of my experience that day was a lady who was interviewed just before me.she claimed she was going to see her uncle in Atlanta whose wife just gave birth.the consular asked if she has a job to which she said yes.without asking she said she works in an oil and gas company;name have never heard before,the address she gave was right beside my house....lol.I tapped myself to wake myself up from the dream...the consular asked how many month was she gonna help babysit the child as she claimed...she said 8months...the consular denied her and here she goes kneeling down.please sir for heaven sake,for the sake of this new baby pls give me this visa...I literally busted into an uncontrollable laughter as the security guys showed her the way out.it was such a gorycomical sight.guys share your funny experience at the us embassy
