spade: I'm glad to see I'm not the only one completely sick of Melvin's absolute lack of style and sophistication.
Those goddamned T-shirts he keeps wearing EVEN to black-tie events, are getting out of hand.
And don't even get me started on that god-awful "Me sef don hammer" haircut he keeps sporting.

Seriously, somebody help this boy!
Every time i hear Melvin is attending a party,i close my eyes and quietly pray, dear Lord pls not another T shirt...and i always get disappointed,he has a very good physique wish i could do something daring with his dressing,as per his hair style, am just indifferent.

C'est moi:

Aye! Was a boarder for 6years...twasnt easy at all.Girls only for that matter....#federalschool.My set was the most stubborn set. When I went to collect my waec and neco results years ago,was told initially that we will be going round to kneel down and beg the teachers with our parents.I thought twas a joke o.I knelt down begging teachers and non-teaching staffs, starting from the admin block to the staff room, computer room, lab, tuck shop. But some will be like.....'Stand up,you were a good student'.My mum also knelt down with me o.Good/bad old memories.I miss my alma mater.
I went to an all girls sch too but mine was a catholic sch,it was crazy. We were not allowed to do a lot of things, like hosting 'shows' but selected few would usually b allowed to attend 'shows' in other schools, so my class decided 4 a change to host a party 4 our graduating snrs,we convinced few 'soji' teachers to help us push d idea in their staff meeting, @ d end of it all d crowd was more dan we could handle;during d beauty contest/fashion parade,we never knew a priest frm d sch already called d cathedral that cultism and prostitution ws going on,of cos that ws nt true and a vry tough priest was sent frm d cathedral to come stop d show,we were so embarrassed.. B4 we knew it was announced in all d churches during sunday mass,my parents got to hear b4 I could sneak back d curtains I borrowed from home for d stage,I had to face panel @ home(my dad was a disciplinarian),2 girls were expelled, about 15 of us were made to dig our heights,d pits was later used 2 build 10 xtra toilets

LMAO. I had to read things fall apart too. There's this one that I really liked, by Ola Rotimi "The Gods are not to blame"...I had to read the book as well. I think they did a superstory on it. I followed that superstory eh cuz I just liked the book. It was about a boy who was meant to be killed cuz it was foreseen that he will kill his father and marry his mother. That was like one of my best childhood books till I came to America and had to read a book that was exactly the same storyline but it was a greek book. I was like huh? So who copied who

The name of the book was Sophocles' Oedipus the King. I just googled it. Same exact storyline as the Gods are not to blame. Maybe one was just an adaptation of the other
I heard d Greek one is d original, that it was only translated by ola rotimi to suit d african culture

Agbgift:

Wow! I read those books... macbeth, thingsfall apart, tales of duberville or so. Then I read the "Famous Five" the whole episode. I was watching it on television station, but they didn't finish the series, so I had to look for the book to read and many that I can't remember again. When it comes to novel abi freak for that aspect then.
What really toned me down a bit was the day my fellowship teacher flogged me for reading novel while choir practice was going on. I felt bad that day, that I quit the choir by myself. But I learnt a lesson from it not to do the right thing@ the wrong time. But I was just to stubborn to go back. And because I didn't want to lose out of the children's day fun, I had to join the drama team which he was not heading.
yea,I read d concubine over and over and use 2 cry about iheoma or so, efuru 2 use 2 get 2 me then, I graduated to M&B,my sister felt I was 2 young for all d love drama and would cease them from me,I would pieces the book page by page and would read five pages per time, she would let it slid saying 5 pages won't change anytin she became only suspicious when my 5 pages never finishes,by then I have developed other ways of reading
