A jubilant Tems clearly showed her enthusiasm for the achievement, stating that she feels it is just the beginning.

Speaking in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Tems recalled how she would always listen to several prominent artistes who she now works with.

Speaking specifically about her Grammy win, the singer said, “It is incredible, I get to work with people that five years ago were on my playlist. I was jamming to them and now I am working with them, it is such a pleasure and I feel like this is just the beginning.

“The song, with U, was taken from my record, Higher, they reached out to me and told me they would use it as a sample and I felt it was amazing. I thought the song was interesting and amazing the way it got together.”

The Federal High Court in Abuja ruled that a group of people cannot ask the government to disqualify Senator Bola Tinubu from running in the 2023 presidential election.

Justice Binta Nyako said that the plaintiff, the Incorporated Trustees of Kingdom Human Rights Foundation International, didn’t have the legal right to bring the case.

The locus of the applicant's authority is important because anything the applicant does without legal authority will not be valid and will be set aside.

Justice Nyako ruled that, because the plaintiff wasn't involved in the political process and wasn't a member of a political party, he didn't have a legal right to file the lawsuit.

The judge said that the plaintiff was using the court system in a way that was not fair or reasonable.

Politainment News reports that the Nasarawa State Police Command said that he has commenced an investigation into the death of 27 pastoralists, in the Doma Local Government Area of Nassarawa State.

Spokesperson of the Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, in a chat with newsmen on Thursday, said the preliminary investigation confirmed that “the pastoralists had on Tuesday, gone to Benue to pay fines for the release of cattle impounded by the Benue Livestock Guards implementing the State’s Anti-Open Grazing and Ranching Law.

On Tuesday night, in the village of Kwatiri, located on the border between Benue and Nasarawa, a strange object resembling a drone or aircraft hovered above and dropped shells on individuals who were in the process of loading cows into vehicles.

Reports came in by Nansel, that the Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Mohammed-Baba, visited the scene of the incident and attended the burial of the deceased alongside the State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, and some traditional rulers.

He said an investigation was underway to identify those responsible for the act, adding that the Command had deployed Police officers to the area to prevent a breakdown of law and order.

OPEC Secretary Mohammad Barkindo has passed away, according to the head of Nigerian National Petroleum Corp (NNPC), who made the announcement on Wednesday.

After six years in the top position at the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, Barkindo, a 63-year-old veteran of the oil sector, was scheduled to retire at the end of this month (OPEC).
