Oh really?
Do you even understand the meaning of ABULE EGBA? shocked
Some of you are ignorant to the core.

Cheii

actually, the egbas that are in Lagos came from Ogun In 1867, there was tension between the Christian community and adherents of the traditional religion in Abeokuta, so when some European missionaries from Abeokuta were departing, the native Christian converts - fearing that the dominant traditionalists would descend on them in the absence of their European protectors, begged that they take them along to Lagos. on getting to Lagos the then oba of Lagos refuses to give them land to stay on but suggests that they ask his brother the Oloto of Oto. The Oloto agreed and gave them land from oyingbo to somewhere just before yaba began. Here they build st. jude's church and school

U better dey go Cotonou dey come back is better than Togo. I don live there. Dem go rope u for Wetin u no know if their local get issues with u. Pls, don't waste your life

This one don go toast another person wife, anywhere you go and it's not your home pls maintain your lane, no go dey do pass yourself.

Togolese are not mean as you erroneously claim they are very accommodating and friendly especially if you are a foreigner. Though they are a bit apprehensive on hearing the name NIGERIA but when dey get to know you you will enjoy staying with them. Expect you go there and try to intimate them with wealth, they will show you pepper. Same thing with Beninese but Beninese are more diabolical.

Please which transport company can commute one from Lagos to Lome? What is the price range?

Can they send waybill?

A lot of them, cross country, God is good, effex etc. and they are quiet expensive especially if you don't have a passport, I think it around 30 to 35k. (This was b4 the border closure and the covid19 ish) and they all do way bill.

There are also private cars @ mile 2 this ones charge around 11 to 15k b4 the border closure & covid19 ish but I hear they charge around 35k now. This ones too send waybill

But if you know you way around you will spend btw 6-7k taking normal public transports. I will however advise against this if you are a first time Traveller, apart from police and immigration wahala, those tout @ sème border are very notorious.

Sure they haven't but I believe the country nationals can't be lying about their country right?

They are just too many in my Area here, in fact many of them can speak pidgin and YORUBA more than many Nigerians and they are always talking about the worst condition of their country. It's not advisable for OP to go there please but he can give it a try anyway

You need to visit to understand what those people are complaining about, I'm pretty sure they are talking about the government and politics, and you can't attest to the fact that it's like that in major African countries, our government is s***ty. And you need to hear what they think of Nigeria and Nigerians over here in Togo. They see Nigerians as ritualist, cannibals and all sort of things, no thanks to our dear Nollywood. I have had to debunk some many myths they have about Nigeria.

The reason why most Togolese folk to Nigeria is the availability of jobs like masonry, tilling, POP e.t.c those kind of jobs are readily available in Nigeria and most Nigerian youth don't want those kind of jobs, they all want blue collar jobs or want to be musician or do Yahoo.

So many misguided and ignorant comments, I didn't Know Nigerians are so ignorant, My brother if you are going to do something legit I will advise you to follow your heart, don't pay attention to any of those comments. Togo is very peaceful and it's quiet easy to accumulate wealth cause the standard of living isn't that high, just don't do pass yourself. Most of the negative comment you see here are from people who haven't even cross the border before they base their truth on myths, though Togo is a poor country and doesn't have the popular has Nigeria, there are a lot of Nigerians businessmen(majorly Igbos) especially in asigame and asiyeye doing very well. Just be focused and know what you came there to do.( Be law abiding)

PS: Togolese are a lovely people and are very friendly to foreigners I can attest to that, it just that unpleasant experiences from terrible Nigerians couple with how Nollywood portray Nigeria has made them wary of Nigerians.

If you say so boss. I'll have to check Google to verify this.

MODIFIED:

Contrary to what you know, there are actually indigenous Yorùbás in Togo, not called Yorùbás but they speak the language and have a different dialect.

Check again sir, they might be of yoruba extraction but they don't speak the language.

Typical Osu IPOB Igbo. So ignorant and proud of it. The Ana Ife people of Atakpame and Kambole must be from Potopoto Arochukwu.

You make me laugh, though the Ana ife people are of yorubas extraction, they don't speak Yoruba & it will be wrong to call them yorubas.

And not everyone on nairaland is ipob, though born & bred in naija, I'm a togolese.

My brother I'm from Edo state, my name is Ajayi Oluwole, I speak Yoruba as my first language and I'm from ovia south west of Edo state, there are many villages in Ovia local government that are been oppressed by the Oba of Benin, I'm from Usen town and we don't speak Bini but Yoruba, Utese is also a Yoruba town in Edo south and we speak same dialect the Ikale of ondo speak, so learn more about your Edo and stop spreading lies, we in ovia see ourselves more as Yoruba than Benin, more time we have fought to be merge with Ondo state but the Oba always suppress such moves
Which Edo people speak Yoruba as a second language Don't say what you don't know.
There are tribes in akoko-edo LGA that speaks Yoruba asides them no other tribes speaks Yoruba in Edo state. Historically the akoko-edo people are Yorubas captured by the great Benin empire.

Your are quoting the wrong person sir, I didn't mention Edo.

I believe Liz DaSilva should pass as a Yoruba lady wince she's probably from the Yorùbá speaking part of Togo.

And for Toyin, does Auchi have any historical link to the Yorùbás?

There is no Yoruba speaking tribe or part in Togo, the only people who speak Yoruba in Togo are Yorubas who do business in Togo or togolese who once live in western Nigeria.

There is no script here because he actually use all his life lines & the last question was about Maathia wangari Nobel prize for peace. I don't know why the OP included John carpenter's script in the post, perhaps to make it sound interesting.

chai, Op can lie, Aroma did great on the show, he used his lifeline and he never called to inform his family he was about to win, he called a friend to verify an answer, i guess you want to spice up the gist, but come on, do not lie to us like that, we are not suffering from short attention span and i wasn't that long ago cuz we're not kids here.

I was actually reading through the comments to see maybe some would point out the lies. The event OP narrated actually happened in the US when John carpenter won in 1999, he was the 1st person to win the 1million dollar price.

I still remember Aroma's last question, it was about Maathia wangari's Nobel prize for peace & he used his last life line (call a friend) to answer the question.

You see eeh, celebrity evaluation and rating is usually based on fan-base especially when it's a voting system.

Mike was not the best dressed male.

It should be between Sheyi, Elozona of BBNaija and one guy a striped native-like suit-ish dress (pix attached), I don't really know these celebrities by name forgive me.

But Mike already has that 'Classic Man' air around him, so even if he wore skulls, he would be voted by his fans.

King of Boys should have an Award.
I am surprised there was no award given to King of Boys.

I dislike Tacha, but she was better dressed than Mercy, but same theory of Fandom.

Cohbams is a Legend.

I think I agree with you, seyi should have won best dressed in my own opinion, but hay what do I no?. I was so disappointed at the end when king of boys won nothing, it Should have won overall best movie.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How To Identify A Scam Interview Invitation by IAMPhoenix007(m): 9:31pm On Feb 22, 2020
DanielGb:
GNLD is not bad. At least there product work. But the sales and marketers they have, all make it a fraud.

I was at Chemline House, 7 Obasa Rd, Ikeja. Sometimes, the wouldn't put Obasa. They will say, second gate, beside a company like that.

From the entrance to the room for interview, it was all suspicious. Everyone of them standing like soldier in pair, at every corner of the stairs.

The horrible thing is, we all sat in a room, with 4 morons (their soldiers) at the four corners of the room, sweating with us in a room with a small standing fan. They were all dressed in suit and tie (awon werey).

I observed everyone was quiet, and it looks strange to me. I want to interact. So, I initiated a convo, only for me to be told I am distracting others. Egbami! is this a cemetery. At this point, I have confirmed they are GNLD, even though they want to Bobo everyone.

I waited for some time, before I disrupt everything for them. Last last, I cause a scene there o... Immediately, the head came around to invite me to please come out of that room, so that I won't pollute others.

I told them to take me into the room for the interview. On getting inside, it was similar to where I was before. Suit and tie guys sweating like goats without electricity.

I sat, before a lady. She was the one asking me what I came here for. Although, I explained to her that I was there for an interview for the role of a business data analyst intern. She heard me, but didn't know anything about data analysis. Instead, she was asking about if I can sell. If I have business skills in meeting people et al. I completely wept inside, for wasting my time and money to come here. It wasn't her fault, all she know is to sell drug.

I left, and didn't bother for response.

These people are terrible.

WARNING: Don't sign up on this website - JOBOMAS (Google search it). Its a GNLD website. They claim to be an HR consulting firm.

They form all manners of names as company, and spam your email with excess messages of those fake companies recruitment.

Please, endeavour to Google search a company, its address, before coming. Some of these firms, don't exist.

Chemline House, 7 Obasa Rd, Ikeja I remember this one, they waste my time eh... I sensed something wasn't right immediately I step into the premises, I should have trusted by instinct and leave immediately but then I needed a job. just avoid any interview you didn't apply for around ikeja especially ogba or alausa, they are all GNLD.

When you talk about GOAT.. it’s about records as it applies now - not as it will be in the future.

There is no question of debate here.

To date, Federer has won 103 ATP singles titles including a record 20 Grand Slam singles titles, 28 ATP Masters 1000 titles, and a record 6 ATP Finals. Federer was also a Gold Medalist in men's doubles with Stan Wawrinka at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a Silver Medalist in men's singles at the 2012 London Olympics.

They are all records that re yet to be broken. When they are - you can subject them to debate on h2h.

this doesn't make him better than Nola, Nola is far better than both him and nadal there h2h speaks for them. unlike football tennis is an individual Sport( to a large extend).

Its like arguing if ronaldo and messi would have bested pele and maradona.its neither here nor there.dont forget djokovic started dominating federer when the latter clocked 30.the dominance is mainly in grandslams.
Again, federer is not a ruthless player.head sometimes too nice and entertsining like an arsenal and not too aggressive and this plays into djokovic's hands.i also blame his coaching crew they haven't found a way to beat djokovic consistently just as federer has found a way to beat nadal in recent times outside clay.

Before today's match,i predicted that thiem wont be able to beat djokovic.a ruthless zverev 2-1 up would have taken no prisoners

The comparison with Ronald & messi with pele & maradona is a bit out of place in my own opinion, ronaldo and messi didn't play when pele & maradona played, in fact they played decades apart while pele play in the 50s to the late 70s maradona played in the mid 70s till 1994 or there about and messi and ronaldo are still play.

But same can't be said of nola, fedal & nadal they practically played in the same era, the difference is just a gap of few years fedal(1998), nadal(2001) and nola(2003) till present.
I agree that fedal is not as ruthless as the like of nadal, Wawrinka or even zverev you mentioned, he is known for his speed, fluid style of play, and exceptional shot making, that is why a lot of people love him, I actually feel in love with tennis becos of fedal. On the other hand nola will use any tactics to win especially when he is losing reason why most fedal fans labeled him arrogant and a cheat. But then the game is all about winning inite?

ps. fedal is still the weakest while nola is the strongest of the there.

Beating at old and worn out federer.whwn federer was younger, djokovic no see him back

not exactly bro, fedal started turned pro 98 while nola turn pro 03 that a whole 5yr head start. now check there h2h both have meet 50 times in GS fedal won 23 and nola 27, even when fedal was in is prime he didn't really dominated the way nola and nadal are dominating now, he is struggling to win a GS since nola and nadal came on board, he only wins when either nadal or nola are injured. If the three of them (fedal, nola & nadal) turn pro the same year fedal would have been far behind the big three
