This is the difficult stage in nigeria. Jonathan is from a small ethnics group in Nigeria. It was formally claim that the ijaw were the majority in the south south. But satellite picture have shown that is not true. And you can see the little problem, they have already. The Uhrobo, edo, ikwerri ,Ibiobo have seen that is not true.

Problem of Jonathan , lack of unity and trust

The banning of rival south south people, that may contest .

delta state: The way the Uhrobo people defended Ibori.  Delta state problem number one.  Ceci Ibru court case.

River state: The banning of An Ikwerri man Odili. Which had its motive. So that he can not contest for election.     Problem number two ( river state) The Ikwerri people are the majority.  In nigeria, some ijaw claim they are the majority in River state. But that is not true. When you look at the satellite pictures.

Cross river :Donald Duke  resign from the PDP.  Cross river state problem 3.

Edo state:  Adam Oshimolo  support IBB. And if you notice the Benin one man one vote show. It looks that the south south governor were all there with IBB. That signal I fear.

All this is the other ethnics group in the south south knows they have to wait till 2062 for an Uhroboman to be president. Or efik man or Benin man or Itsekiri man or Ikwerri man or Annang man. So you see problem.

You would notice there is a problem already.  Lack of unity.

Now Jonathan coming from a small ethnics group toward 2011. It tell you. His chance. IBB too comes from a small ethnics of about 900,000 people. So he too have the small problem with Jonathan.

Now on the issue of vice president. It is a difficult one. Jonathan chance at the poll depend on this. He should never pick Nuru ribadu or el rufia. that cant get vote for him.
And when you look at 2011 , it open to any winner. If jonathan pick a northerner, The north would throw in a northerner to capture the north. It does not matter who. And since Jonathan have made a mistake by allow them to declear Yar adua dead. If he wait to the end of the term , it would have been easy. But now. The presidency is up for grasp by anyone.

The two majority ethnics group are more worried by the satellite picture. And together they have nearly half of the state in nigeria.  Even if Jonathan pick a fulani/hausa as vice president. The rival party can pick a  Yoruba man  and they pick Igbo or fulani/hausa . And you know what the result would be.  see satellite picture.

So coming from a small ethnics group is going to be a major problem for him in an election.  Even rigging would not help.

The Igbos when you watch thier statement from PDP chairman, Emmanuel Inwanyawu, Jim Nwobodo, the Igbos are ready to fight and get rid of Jonathan, they are not ready to wait another 32 years.

When they sown in Jonathan, the Igbos would have to wait 2048 years.  While the fulani/hausa would have to wait till 2051 and the Yorubas 2048. Constitution or non constitution. Nobody is ready to wait. We have problem.

Odili is not an Ikwerre man, he is an Ibo man i.e. the settlers who came to portharcourt b4 d war.

Besides a bird in hand is worth 2 in d bush all the other tribes may be 100 times more than the ijaws but they are all in the bush as it were, Goodluck is the surest banker, I'm sure they can all live with it. They'll prefer it to a northerner anyday.

@ Kobojunkie (nice name tho) , oooooh mhen, everyone who has got little power would be scavenging for that spot now, and we know he who controls the trigger, right now, you cant trust anyone, if you had d power, wont you go down to aso-rock n boot em out n rule, yes history has its story, but there are men who re-write stories for history.

The boys in uniform had better restrict their movement to the barracks if they know wot is good for them. They were nowhere to be found when we needed them. When Turai was busy holding Nigeria and Nigerians by the jugular, they said they were protecting democracy when the so called democracy in the words of Fela had become a demonstration of craze.

Were they not the same military that were taking orders from a mere colonel (Danbazzau) to deploy soldiers to d airport instead of from the commander in chief of armed forces? Military that cannot curb ordinary religious crisis, cannot act fast even after receiving a tip-off, but will rather make silly excuses after lives ve been lost? We don't ve a military as far as i'm concerned, I just pray we never have to go to war. If they dare march to Aso Rock, the militants will show them what a real military shd look like. They will defend their bro Goodluck at all cost.

May his soul rest in peace.

Yar adua was a victim of the nigeria system. I once said. That Yar adua must be careful. Yar adua brother Musa was lost to the system and Now Yar Adua. I pity the family.

What a wicked world. I said he should be careful. May his soul rest in peace. Yar adua was naive man. He believe every nonsense some of this people told him. Some of them have a wicked heart. The bible says the heart of men is wicked, who knows it.

I wish Turai all the best. Abdullahi be a man, my friend. kai giko.

What a pity.

Pls Umoru was not a victim of anything. He cannot be completely exonerated. Anybody that can willfully wine and dine with James Ibori amongst many other hardened criminals shd be held accountable for the things that fall apart around them.

This is what happens when you make one bad decision after another and allow the people around you dictate to u esp when u're the head. I doubt posterity will judge him well, because he honestly didn't achieve anything. His widely evangelised 7-point agenda never really took off.

I hope we can all learn

Princek12:

Dear Sir/Madam
I am sure that you have heard about the death of Nigeria's president Yar'adua, for it is the headline on every major news network in the world. Unfortunately, Mr. Yar'adua died without writing a will, and he is survived by his wife. His wife will inherit some of his property and wealth according to the laws of Nigeria. However, the manager of First Bank of Nigeria, PLC has just notified me that President Yar'adua has the equivalent of $50,000,000 (fifty million US Dollars) in his bank account, and that he did not list any next of kin. According to the laws of Nigeria, therefore, since he did not list any next of kin, the money will pass to his successor in interest.

I have talked to the Bank Manager and he told me that I am the successor in interest to any of President Yar'adua's assets, including financial assets, but that I have to sign several paperwork to expeditiously effectuate the transfer to me, the successor in interest. Please keep this matter confidential, for disclosing to any third party this information may affect the transfer of the funds to my bank account.

The manager has also informed that we need to some funds to effectuate this transfer, and therefore I need to remit to him as soon as possible the sum of $100,000 (one hundred thousand US dollars). Once you send me the $100,000, I will sign the necessary paperwork and transfer the money to your foreign account, whereupon you can deduct your $100,000 plus your $10,000,000 (ten million US dollars) which is your commission for being a partner.

Thank you very much. I hope that you will act swiftly within the next 24 hours, for every time wasted can severely jeopardize this transaction. The manger of First Bank of Nigeria, PLC will contact you insofar as needed to collect any relevant information that is pertinent to this transfer. Your full cooperation is required.

Sincerely,

Alhaji Al Rabin Tal Wa lal
Successor in interest to his excellency, President Musa Yar'adua

"It is not America alone that has citizens to whom the government is responsible, we also have citizens and we are responsible to them, "

Really So they know they are responsible to us and yet they steal our money with such impunity and flaunt it for us to see like there is nothing we can do about it. I think we're getting this reaction from them, simply because it also affects them, they also have to go thru the same humiliating process while trying to cart our money out of our shores and of course in the process will be exposed. I don't think the US was right in including Nigeria in such a list but I have no faith whatsoever in our politicians. This so called threat reminds me of the joke abt the drunkard that keeps going to the bar threatening the bar maid: "give me gulder or else, " and of course he keeps getting free beers until the day the bar maid finally summons courage, and asks: "or else what?" and he replies "or else pure water, lol". I'm sure the US is right now asking them "or else what?" I can't wait to see how this drama unfolds. Our politicians are the least credible beings upon the face of the earth. They are rogues and terrorists themselves, they steal our money and terrorise us with their ill-gotten wealth and sirens. I'm counting down already, 6 days to go.LMAO!
Religion / Re: Pastor Bimbo Odukoya Is In Hell? by icycool84: 10:15pm On Dec 12, 2009
@BarbDéWyre The grace of God is not an excuse to live your life as you please, Paul said "Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid!" My point is that the message of the gospel which is faith in Jesus Christ for salvation has not changed. Paul clarified for us what the gospel of Jesus is in Rom 1:16 "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God untosalvation to them that believe". Simple! This is evident by the thief at the cross who was saved by a simple statement of faith, and not his lifestyle or dressing. Going back to the Law of Moses on the issue of salvation is disregarding the reason for which Christ came. Paul says that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us and Christ Himself says that the law is fulfilled in these two commandments: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and strength and Love your neighbour as yourself. 1Tim 2:9 and 1Pet 3:3 are probably the most misinterpreted verses of scripture. Of course God does not expect you to parade naked or in indecent attire but the Spirit behind these scriptures is that we should be more concerned about adorning ourselves with godly character which is expected of women professing godliness than with gold and pearls and of course the part many people conveniently forget – braided hair. Does this mean you shouldn’t braid your hair? And I’m not talking about with extensions. The earlier verse says that the men should pray everywhere lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting. Does that mean that men should literally go about raising their hands? Can we think for a second? The spirit gives life but the letter kills. All these rules and regulations, Paul describes as “self-imposed religion and false humility, having an appearance of wisdom but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh” Col. 2:23. Infact, I encourage you to read from v. 18 through to the end. My point is that the criteria for salvation have not changed because Jesus has not changed. It is the work of the Holy Spirit in us that will influence everything we do, including our dressing but whatever we do we must do in line with our consciences and not doubting, because Paul says that everything that is not from faith is sin. Rom 14:23. Once again, endeavour to read the whole chapter. I don’t believe in eternal security because Rev 3:5 tells us it is possible for people’s names to be blotted out of the book of life. I agree that the initial experience of salvation is the beginning of a journey, but that experience alone is enough to save you as we saw in the case of the thief at the cross and of course as Jesus (John 3:16) said and Paul re-iterated (Rom. 10:9). Everything after that is to accomplish our earthly assignment and get rewards or crowns or stars in heaven. The gifts of the Holy Spirit listed in 1 Cor. 12 the Bible tells us are for the edification of the body i.e. the church and not for salvation. Once again, we must be careful, Paul himself feared that our minds may be corrupted away from the simplicity that is in Christ with another message. 2Cor. 11:3-4
Another thing to note is that Prophet Obadare said he went to heaven and Jesus showed him his mansion but Jesus said in John 14:2-3 that in His father’s house are many mansions and He has gone to prepare a place for us. When He comes again He will take us to be with Him. He didn’t say when we die we will each go to our respective mansions. This is just one of the many fallacies of this message.

@bongoman, I don’t see the point of ur post cos u seem to be saying what I’m saying. Clarify if u may.

The Bible in Acts 17:11 tells us that the Christians in Berea were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica because 1) they received the word with great eagerness 2) They examined the scriptures everyday to see if what Paul said was true (NIV). Unfortunately we christians of nowadays are too lazy to follow their example, we simply swallow and digest whatever our pastors and prophets say without going back to the scriptures. We forget that Paul said in Gal 1:8-9 that even if he or an angel from heaven preaches another gospel other than what he preached or what we accepted, let the person be accursed. This therefore means that it is possible for a trusted prophet of God to come with a deceptive message e.g. Balaam (Num 22-24, 31:16) because they are afterall human and prone to errors. It does not matter who the messenger is, what matters is if the message is in line with what the word of God says.

What gospel did we accept? John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosever BELIEVES in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” What gospel did Paul preach? “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Rom 10.9) See also Acts 16: 31. Prophet Obadare's message is "another gospel" which says that in addition to us believing in Jesus, we must dress in a certain way and adhere to certain hair-styles in order to make heaven. This is contrary to the message of Jesus Christ. We as christians must be careful not to let anyone corrupt us from the simplicity that is in Christ with a different message (2 Cor. 11:3-4), …,  lest we be blown away by every wind of doctrine (Eph 4:14)
There are very many unbiblical things about this message, (some of which have already been addressed) but I'll summarise by asking a few questions and encouraging us to search the scriptures. Replies are welcome. Remember that the Bible is our manual.  It is complete and is given by the inspiration of God (2Tim 3:16).

1. Did anyone in the Bible die and then get a 2nd chance to go back to earth and amend his ways? Heb 9:27, Lk. 20:21, Gal. 2:6

2. Do believers go to heaven i.e. where Jesus is when they die? John 14:3, 1Cor 15:51-52, 1Sam 28:11-13

3. Is there any instance in the Bible of someone going from the dead to warn the living? Lk. 16:27-31

4. From the scriptures, is it possible for someone to go from heaven to hell? Lk.16:26, John 3:13

5. Did God ever reveal to anyone in the Bible what was happening in heaven or hell at the time. Rev 1:1 tells us that the revelation was “of things to shortly take place” i.e. future events not past or present.

6. Is it possible for a prophet of God to deliver a false message? Num. 22-24, 31:16, Ezek. 31: 1-9 (These were prophets of the house of Israel)

In conclusion we must be careful of those who “teach as doctrines the commandment of men” Is. 29:13, Matt. 15: 9, Col 2:18-23. I hope we all find the time to go into the scriptures to answer the questions raised. The issue is not whether or not Pastor Bimbo is in hell. This is not an impossibility, because God alone knew the state of her heart at the time of her death. The issue is whether or not her dressing, hairdos etc. could have landed her there. My Bible doesn’t tell me that, so forgive me, but I choose to believe my Bible over any man of God or god of men as the case may be. Judge for yourself
