your company needs an application designed and you are willing to pay and learn how to program. why not ask the company to pay for training. or hire someone proficient as recommended above.

the reality is that, if you want to learn java, php, asp/asp.net, c# or anything you want to use. take into consideration that

it will take you some time to become knowledgeable and procificient to accomplish the task. a couple of months of intensive practice. you have to eat and sleep the programming language. so while you are busy learning, time's a wasting for your company's application. so lets say maybe you study for 6 months and then you go to drawing board for another six months of practicing and writing modules. then give or take one or two months for testing. thats pretty much over a year at least to get a finished product from you.

or you can decide to acquire the skill for personal development and if the need arises, you will be ready to do it next time. or get a better job with your new skill.

if you are getting a function deprecated or some type of deprecated error. that means that, the version of php installed on your server does not match with the requirements of joomla's php codes. as the php codes for joomla are newer than the php version installed on your server.

the notorious one is regex no longer in php5 but is still in php5. so if you use the regex function in a php5 application and your server is running php4, well you will get deprecated errors.

copy and paste the error so one can know more. you have no worries. maybe you should upgrade the version of your php if possible.

Guess what, when i started reading the OP's post, i was like the guy is me. Is she talking about me? Well, I have had people call me a devil for not being into religion. I do not go around trying to convince people that religion is a waste of time likewise, i would like to assume the OP's guy doesnt go around talking to people about atheism. It is a choice that has to be made.

I have met people that have been persistent about me going to church. each time saying lets go lets go. And I am there sitting explaining that I respect your choice and decision, I have made mine so why not respect mine and not ask me to go since I have said no I am not going. FYI there is nothing special in a christian that an atheism cant be comparable or supersede. Being an atheist is not a taboo. Assuming christian is real, how many people can stand up and definitely say, I am passing the test. I have friends that do all sorts of things that will amaze you and yet claim christianity. Religion is a joke. The amount of time people spend in church is ridiculous. Week day services, weekends, night vigil, prayer meetings. it is appalling. Why not use the time judiciously and develop your personal skills that will be more useful in realising your goals in life?

I was an active contributor on nairaland and I stopped posting and replying messages. I have seen many people wondering where I am asking. I also got emails that I never replied to.

When I first joined NL, I was always eager to wake up in the morning and check replies or create new threads. I was really glad to contribute and slowly and gradually, I started noticing a drop in the quality of postings. What really shocked me most was that once last year, I was banned. I really got pissed. The original intent of NL is LOST. And now with the issue of banning mods, well I read the explanation of cloning of usernames. Seun's response to the issues shouldnt have been what it is. Though people were asking for explanation, I strongly believe what happened was internal not to have been made public. Now, people have developed negative opinions.

I know yawa-tide, was also wondering how come i disappeared. I know I for certain will not be active as I used to. Maybe just post once a month that is if I post anything at all.
