Patrick Ellis is the rave of the moment. He is scooping all the video directing awards. His videos are unique, some foreign countries respect his works so move over everybody.
Did somebody say that Shina Peter 's son with Clarion (Clarence) does videos too? That is cute, but he needs to cut that his untidy ras and grow a more organised locks.
P square recent videos are good too, good job by their brother.Their Onyinye video wt Rick Ross is bad a*s cool.

Why don't you visit doctors and have them run tests on you as well as give you the medications you need.
Stop getting deceived by following ignorant people that take away your money from you knowing that you desperately need help. Ask around for a good learned doctor that treats such male problems and have him help you.

texaco1:

My guy u have three options
1. Keep the problem to urself
2. Go to church for prayers and deliverance and attack the source of the problem
3. Get a confirmed alfa or woli that will appease the spirits attacking u,the issue which many nigerians are overlooking is that no matter how hard we try to be western we are and will always be africans,my bro originality still dey work for people .

@Texaco1
How can you advice this young man to follow deceivers in the name of seeking for solution? I agree with the prayer part but he should be careful too, many deceivers and 419ners are out there acting as pastors. Good he himself has even realized that as he said in his reply.

Family / Re: Please Advice A Bed-wetting Nairalander. by Ivynwa(f): 3:03am On Jul 09, 2013
Poster did not state clearly whether his bedwetting is urine or seminal fluid. Some males that don't know about wetdream(discharge of seminal fluid/sperm while sleeping) may mistake it for bedwetting/urinating on the bed at night.

Poster if what you discharge on your bed is urine, then go with the advise of the person that advised you to use alarm to get your body accustomed to timing suitable for you to pee. You will be surprised at how you will get used to waking up in good time without alarms after 2 or 3 weeks of practising that. If it is seminal fluid/sperm that you discharge, just know that it is a healthy occurence that happen to other male folks too. It is kinda nature's natural way of relieving you of se*xual energy as you said that you are still a virgin.

Stuffs like university certificate which we all struggle too much for are not struggled for like that in other countries, most male grow out and attend skill acquisition programmes and go on to become self reliant and even employ people. Don't sadden your self over that. If you are already as wealthy and financially free as you said why don't you concentrate on having your own company? A good number of very successful people of the world did not attend universities.
I can't even wait to throw down my certificate and become independent without having to wake and run to go and work for others. Certificate isn't what makes a man dearie.

Abrahamweb: Honestly, you can't blame those kid.
i have been saying these and will continue to emphasis on these,Nollywood is corrupting our kids, you may want to disagree, but be honest how many nollywood movies can you watch with the whole family without remote control on your hand ready to fastforward at any second because the scene will corrupt the children,i do it before then i realised the is no benefit,i stopped nollywood movies in my house, they dont think before releasing a movie, the just want to make money, and the sellers dont even care if its a child that wants to buy, they just sell.

The onus is on the adults training the children to be careful what they watch, don't blame it on Nollywood.
Those kids are not Nigerians, I am sure of that. A Nigerian young girl can't be caught wining like that. Those kids have to be from the West Indies. They wine very well when they dance, there is a need for it to be hidden a bit from the eyes of the kids.

it's funny, right?? oh hell! yeah it is.......sheeps don't question, good soldiers don't break ranks

@frosbel and @flourish what possible solution would you offer for an institution that is programmed that way??

1. would you be rebellious, then go an form your own(which is y we have so many churches) and also you become another commander
2 OR choose not to attend any church, cos if you are there you must abide, and if you acn't i don't know y you are there

BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW SMALL THE GROUP IS, EACH MEMBER WILL LOOSE PART OF HIM/HERSELF TO IT

I worship with Lord's Chosen Ministry sometimes, they have all these "dress like this and that and archaic looking wedding dresses, no ear rings" and I don't abide by that. I dress up nicely and go there to take the words of God that are more important to me and I go my way. I don't lose part of myself to it. I refuse to be mindless and that is what we are talking about. The height of mindlessness in churches in our country is alarming. It is spoiling things in families, we see threads and news of fathers rejecting children or brutalizing them because they were told in churches that the child is a witch and all other kinds of nonsense things (malice, finger pointing and accusations) in the families people are made to do because a pastor said so.
The followers of Reverend king were so mindless as to be bowing down, prostrating before him, believing every trash he feeds them to the point that they watched him set them on fire!

lastpage: While we are at this "DOCTRINE/TRADITION MATTER", l will like anyone who has sound "spiritual/Biblical knowledge" (not fanatical please) grin to explain one thing to me:

Why are "MEN" required to remove their CAP, when they enter church?

*How does donning a CAP stops one from worshiping God?

*Is it a sign of respect for God?

*Does the CAP prevent God from answering the men's prayer? (I notice that women wear their own head-gear without problem)

*DOes it conform to modern-day Christianity (I know Christ has "fulfilled" some aspect of the "Moses Doctrine" which Jesus himself once referred to as "given to you because of the hardness of your heart"; e.h 'An eye for an Eye'.)

*I like to wear my CAP from house and leave it on throughout till l come back home but l dont like to offend others in church or make them think maybe l am just arrogant.
If it has no "sound Biblical backing" or if it is just "Tradition of men", l will like to discuss it with a few associates and see how we can enlighten ourselves, to the glory of God.

*But if it is a "spiritual requirement of God", then it has to be respected and obeyed.

What is your take, from a Biblical and spiritual perspective?

What l want:
*someone to point out the Biblical backing to this practice, both in CONTEXT and APPLICATION.

Thanks.

ademega: Some pastors will preach the word of God , preach their feelings and thoughts of heart as well , and as a Christian, we do fail to draw the line where the word of God ends ,then we start to behave in men's feelings and thought .that is what we have in our churches nowadays . For instance , why must u learn to speak like ur pastor befor u can preach in the church ? Why must u have the same hair style with you pastor before u are qualify to become a pastor too. We must ask ourselves again ,are we now Christ-like (Christians) or our pastor -like ? It is a pity ,this is the situation in most of the churches today.Happy Sunday *zillionaire *

You used almost the same words I used. These people have the lines between the words of God and the words from the feelings and thoughts of the heart of man blurred because of blind hero worshipping that goes on in some Nigerian churches. Shacklement and enslavement to the thoughts of others. It's annoying to see men and women behave like zombies, live and act out the thoughts of others----the next minute they will bring you quotation from the bible to justify their mindlessness perhaps telling us such stuffs that when you are in God, you are lost to the world blah blah.

flourishG: ------ your church is organized in nigeria n not well organized in jamaica?what won't u say to cover unrighteousness you.the law u preach cannot be upheld by yr kumuyi son?i though they say charity begins at home?
Different dress standard is preached in Jamaica, a different one in Nigeria. I am sure that the American branches have their own different dress code because the people there may not be that docile and mindless enough to have others chain and shackle them with the thoughts and feelings of their heart in the name of worshipping God. Why have people dress in such gloomy ways that you almost want to fall sick and gloomy on seeing them. The earth and the fullness thereof was given to us by God, we christians should reflect the glory and beauty of our God not look gloomy and sadiddy. Our God is alive, we are not mourning him.
This couple are being disciplined by their fellow men who considered the limo and nice dressings they used as showing off opulence-----when God asked man to dominate the earth he didn't list out limo, good looking dresses etc as things we are too holy to use. Why are they drawing lists , making their own rules and shackling mindless men and women to these rules?

flourishG: you're d worse hypocrites commenting on this thread.what nonsesnse is that?so you pple preach a different gospel to nigerians and different gospel to the international world?that's ridiculous mehn and that's no gospel of christ in da first place.you should b ashamed of this yr comment.that's y i insult u pple because u never think for yourself, your pastor think for u n y'all just following blindly n religiously.this is d greatest nonsense i ever read here.--------------.

If we go back to the other thread where people were talking against the hypocrisy of this matter, the words of these same people saying that this couple did wrong/acted against the doctrine of the church will be different. Some must have told us some things to justify the couple and defend their church then, here we are now hearing "Come and see-o-o, they have apologised" and most of them now speaking from the other side of their mouth, everything in order to justify this height of mindlessness that goes on in some Nigerian churches. They are lucky that the bride Love is not someone like me who will stick to doing things the way I want it done without following all those mgbeke/archaic rules.

My opinion about this does not change my respect for the church head, other good preachers from the church like the likes of Olaadegbu who knows to feed one the rich food of the spirit through the words of God. I just don't like the other aspect of people not having a mind of their own and living their lives over rules laid down by their fellow human beings.

The age of kids doing that dance is shocking and more it is even frightening that they were making that show for young minds/children. The person bringing up that female child isn't watching her good, these kids go to school and learn dances they shouldn't be doing just for them to belong. If they were discouraged initially, it would have helped but they seems to have been encouraged with that adult female there giving the kid dirty dancers thumbs up. Kids shouldn't do this dance or even watch it.
Religion / Re: Pastor Kumuyi's Son Apologise, controversy finally laid to rest by Ivynwa(f): 5:19am On Jun 30, 2013
Even Reverend King must have quoted Rick Joyner to his congregations too when others were telling them to worship God with clear eyes and sound mind instead of worshipping men of God. He had them bowing down and prostating on the floor for him until their eyes cleared when he killed one of them after setting the person on fire. (Note that I have respect for your Pastor, I'm not calling him Reverend King).

You can justify your hero worshipping with words of the bible and that does not change the fact that you guys are overdoing things swallowing everything that comes out of the mouth of your fellow human being in the name of worshipping and following God. Follow God, not man.

A couple/girl that wore a wedding gown she likes on her wedding and added pomp to her wedding ceremony with a limo car needs not apologise for that, who needs to apologise to the church are the heads of the church that had people believing in their whims. They taught the words of God and the words/feelings/thoughts of their hearts too. Their apology should be something like "We are sorry for all the unnecessary man made principles we made you all believe in, please let us stick to God from now on" and this newly wedded can be left alone to enjoy their marriage, it isn't their fault that people chose to hero worship the heads of the church and swallowed in all their whims.

I like that the head of their church has a good heart for God and will gladly fellowship with him and share the words of God while sticking to the way of life I chose for myself because I am a human being like him and can discern for myself just like he can. I am not one of some mindless christians, I know where the lines end between preaching the words of God to me and preaching the feeling and thoughts of the heart of men to me. It's a pity some hero-worship and have that line blurred and that is what is happening in some of our churches.

I appreciate your response
Frankly theres is nothing wrong with her dress as it is far better than what obtains in some gowns which show so much cleavage
However I know up close how stifling doctrines of this course and the hit it has taken on members homes who sacrificed their TVs, usage of drugs (yes!) and so many other things as i attended this ministry for years

Imagine my surprise when i saw the cathedral in Gbagada or members in the US saying DL now does noral wedding
Im sure some parishes now use drums grin

Surprising!
I had always seen DL as an oasis of saneness amidst the muck of prosperity love we find churches indulging in...
I wont be amazed if Kumuyi also has a private jet in the works
I guess its true when they say Work out your salvation with fear and trembling

Peace Brother!

If that Reverend King's church member that died after he set them on fire knows enough not to have hero worshipped and believed in the trash Reverend King made them believe she(or was it a he? ) may still be alive. I heard that his church members use to fall on their knees and prostrate when he is driving on the road or passing close to them. Jeez!
These hero worshipping of Pastors is an important matter that needs attention in our country, many homes have been divided by fake prophesies and false utterances that were swallowed by church members.
Family / Re: Pastor Kumuyi's Son Ties The Knot (PHOTO) by Ivynwa(f): 6:50pm On Jun 29, 2013
@Biolabee
I think i got your point here and respect your stance on the matter. I have respect for people who stand up for something even when the people around choose to look the other way out of fear or favour. In my first post here I didn't like that the bride was getting talked down for dressing as she likes and defended her right to dress as she likes. Nobody should get angry that the bride here is wearing what she wants to wear, what was clearly shown in this whole matter is that people should be clear headed enough to leave sentiments/emotions/hero worshipping alone when imbibing the words that come out of the mouth of some pastors.

If one begins to look at the bigger picture of all of this, this matter is enough to open the eyes of many Nigerians that leave their minds at home when they go to churches only to borrow minds from their fellow human beings and swallow down every principle and rules laid down. I mean the same person in whose church people were made to wear that mgbeke/archaic wedding dress "because they are supposed to be too holy" is looking all cool and happy while his children are donning sweet looking wedding dress that are too unholy for his own people. I remember that I use to disagree with my brother some years ago when he had loads and loads of DL tapes(he isn't a member of the church) and believes in so many things that had him deeming anybody that goes against what was preached in the tape as a sinner. I use to tell him "You don't have to swallow every thing that come out of the mouth of others when you go to church", these people are humans like us all and we all have the ability to use our head to discern and choose what is right for us. I am happy that my brother has realized this with time and experience and is now more liberal and free than he use to be before.

How about we stop edifying humans as Demi gods because they opened a church (which some of them started in order to make money). It is such hero worshipping that made people fall prey to the likes of Reverend Kings and some fake pastors that deceive and take women in their church that are struggling against infertility to bed. I love Pastor Adefarasin and was in his church one day when he started talking too much about money, I simply got up and left to return another day when he is in the mood to talk talks that connects me well with my G.O.D. Sometimes I fellowship with Lord's chosen where it is mandated that you wear no ear rings etc I go there dressed nicely and take the important God related stuffs and go my way. No way am I allowing any human being shackle me or take away my freedom to live my life and do the things I love to do. We need to tone down the worshipping of pastors and the swallowing of every whims that come out of their mouth because just like us humans they are not perfect too. I mean it is okay to share the word of God with them but we mustn't share every whims and beliefs they have because their exposure in life like education, environment, family upbringing shapens these. The fact that they think "wear this", does not mean that "this" is perfect for you.

This poor couple had to die why enjoying themselves like ibefa/others. Soooo saaaaad!
At the beginning of this month I was recently in a place enclosed with glass and was telling a young girl that was leaning heavily on the glass wall to desist from that as she can fall if the glass gives way and her mother was busy telling me that she cannot fall. There are some things we make use of and put too much trust on like machines, structures etc without having second thoughts behind our head that we may be in danger while making use of such. Better not to be trusting with some of these things.
If I am the one living in a glass house, I will never be caught leaning on it because I would have thought that it is possible that it can give way. I guess the families of these couple may want to sue the builder but then houses/structures gets old and weaken besides we humans are imperfect beings as to get everything perfect to the teeth. I sympathise with this painful loss of lives.

Travel / Re: Things You Should Have Before Boarding An International Flight by Ivynwa(f): 8:31am On Jun 29, 2013
I was reading to see whether anybody will mention these items that are of utmost importance when getting on a plane and nobody mentioned them. We hardly think of the need for them until the aeroplane begins to ascend after take off or there is drop in pressure during descent and your ear begins to ache like crazy. Jeez!

There is a great need to protect our ears while on an aeroplane especially if you have a baby with you. The change in air pressure during ascent and descent causes changes in the cabin air pressure which the ear reacts to painfully most times. I Once asked an air host what remedy they have for that and he says to be making a swallowing body action as in act as if you are swallowing something----that helps to some extent. Another air hostess introduced me to some nasal drops they have in the planes and I try and ask for that before hand so as to have it handy.

Please always ask for nasal drops that helps unblock the ear, most airlines have it on board for passengers. Someone else taught me that chewing gum helps that and that makes sense because when you chew gum, you are swallowing which changes the air pressure in your respiratory system thus easing the pain, the person also taught me that for babies on a flight that it is good to give them a bottle to suck and swallow from----that it helps. Another thing that ease that ear pain is a an empty cup with a napkin soaked in hot water put over the ear. I found other things that help ease those ear pains in an article online and here's the link http://www.ehow.com/how_7194807_protect-ears-airplane.html
---As we can see the article made effort to explain that biological process. This is something one should be very concerned about as i read that it can rupture ear drum on rare cases.

The sweet freedom to worship as you like is why I can't stop liking Pastor Adefarasin's "House on the rock church". One look forward to going to church there, if you wake up and decides to throw on your jeans to church----you can. You can dress as sweetly and gorgeously as you like and still get out plenty experience from the church. Get to enjoy and communicate with God with sweet and heartful praise and worship, enjoy hearing the word of God being preached to you from great points/angles that drive home the message to you. Have the choir serenade your spirit amazingly. Go home feeling like you just went to the greatest praise jam on earth like you gave your spirit a nice time and took it clubbing in a spirit filled manner. grin grin

There's this other spirit filled Pastor I like very much in Lagos Pastor Lazarus Muoka. I like the anointing of God in him and sometimes worship there, the only problem I have with fellowshipping there is that the man made laws are too many. The last time I was there they were looking at my ear rings like I came from the moon and I was chilling ignoring whoever decides to follow rules like a mindless person.
I even pity the Kumuyi's daughter in law and what stress and tension she must have been put through trying hard to dress and please the church people. The wedding dress looks like a very stylish wedding dress that had to be sewn again to cover the top part of her body well. Her face shows that this is a lady that enjoys doing her make up but had to make do with just powder and a nicely arched brow so as to be as minimal as possible. Do they want her to look like Ada mmanwu (masquarade) in order to please people? Children of God deserves beautiful wedding dresses that reflects the glory of God too not ones that makes one want to mourn with the bride while her husband is still alive. grin grin

Hahahahahahahahahahaha. U had me cracking up with ur post. I consider myself a mixologist cheaper than buying some home treatment product when I have the products i need in my kitchen. Who knows one day I might just prepare cake batter and mistakenly put in in my hair hahahahahahahahahahaha grin

Hahaha
I wish my natural hair is already as long as yours and I can have fun with it.

*Kails*:

Oh so you did the big chop? Awesome.
I am glad youre on board the natural movement train lol. cool

Personally i did not do the big chop i only clip the ends every so often but the majority of my hair is in its natural state.

Seems like we are getting to a time women will be rocking their natural hair real good..
