Education / Re: CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional Training by jameslucy: 12:05pm On Oct 05, 2017
okeycielgr:
details
CISSP Certification or Certified Information Systems Security Professional credential is an advanced and grueling exam that tests the abilities of information security professionals and validates their skills to secure an enterprise environment. Becoming a CISSP certified professional is no cakewalk. It requires years of relevant work experience in addition to an endorsement from an existing CISSP professional to take the 6-hour long grueling exam. The exam is conducted by (ISC)2 and offers vendor neutral capabilities applicable worldwide and industry-wide.
Pre-Requisites or Eligibility Criteria for CISSP Certification
Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in at least 2 of the 10 domains enlisted by (ISC)2
OR
4 years of full-time experience in at least 2 of the 8 (ISC)2 domains along with a 4-year college degree.
10 Domains of CISSP from CBK (Common Book of Knowledge)
Access Control.
Application Development Security.
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning.
Cryptograpy.
Information Security Governance and Risk Management.
Legal regulations, investigations, and compliance.
Operations Security.
Physical and Environmental Security.
Specializations in CISSP Certification
• Management (CISSP-ISSMP)
• Architecture (CISSP-ISSAP)
• Engineering (CISSP-ISSEP)
Why Opt for CISSP Training
• Gain abilities to design the architecture, and manage the security of enterprise environments.
• Validate proven skills and expertise gained through IT security experience
• Demonstrate your technical proficiency, and capabilities to develop an effective IT security program for an organization in accordance with globally accepted standards
• Fill the skill gap that is leaving many security positions empty in many organizations, despite huge demand.
• Differentiate your expertise from peers to acquire desirable job positions in a fast-growing environment for information security
• Establish your commitment towards information security best practices by gaining relevant skills continually to earn CPEs and
• Access valuable resources related to study and career.
Skills Shortage
Job openings for IT security positions often list CISSP certification as one of the pre-requisites. Other cyber security certifications in demand include CEH, CHFI and Cisco Security credentials. It is a mandatory requirement especially in case of banks, insurance firms and other financial institutions where cost of a data breach is relatively high. The demand for good and knowledgeable security experts is at an all-time high and various studies are pointing at a shortage of cyber security skills. At this time, it becomes all the more imperative to acquire certification and strengthen your position in the information security industry.
CISSP Training from an authorized training center paves the way for accelerated learning and development, while boosting the chances of clearing CISSP exam in the first attempt. If you're devoting so much time, effort and money on how to get CISSP certification, it would be a wise step to first get prepared through CISSP Training from a good institute.

Education / Open Letter To TRCN by jameslucy: 11:46am On Oct 05, 2017
As we celebrate World Teachers Day, l congratulate all the teachers globally. As an educationist & as one who has spent years in this sector, l must confess that l do not think that the TRCN is fulfilling purpose. We live in an era where individuals & groups who have their way through the corridors of power can have policies imposed on others. For instance, In Lagos State, teachers have been mandated to register with TRCN- while it is a good policy to have proper documentation/statistics of teachers in the country, but truth be told, what is the benefit of such registration to the teacher(especially those in private schools)? This body doesn't help with job placement of teachers, it doesn't fight for the rights of teachers, etc. Teachers would prefer a TRCN that can draw government's attention to teachers' plights, press them to initiate policies that will cover minimum wage for teachers in the private sector also, bearing in mind that they are all doing the same job. Most teachers aren't given Appointment Letters, those that are given are lied to, etc. B.Ed holders are earning N15,000 - N25,000? How can they have a successful life? Can they ever feed well, meet up with their social obligations, let alone buy a car like people in order professions? The problems are too numerous to mention, with no one to run to for help. The Council has to wake up & work! l am a School Principal & in communication with teachers around the country as well as many outside the country so l know what is happening. If Nigeria must be better then teachers' welfare is key to building a solid foundation-the TRCN cannot dare stand aloof while forcing teachers' to register.
The doctors & other professionals have fought for theirs, what are we waiting for?

LESSON TWO: FINDING THE RIGHT HOST
When it comes to small projects i use whogohost or syskay.com. Hostgator and Godaddy for big projects.

Its advisable to create a separate account for your clients. So if they wish to discontinue your services, you can hand over to them their login details to cpanel and others. If the webhost supports an affiliate program, use it on their account. And get discount for other jobs.

Whogohost and syskay.com are both nigeria webhost providers and are both good. But syskay now has a problem with sending mails.
All mails sent from the website you hosting with them goes to spam box. I dont know why?
This cost me my reputation at a time. An ecommerce site i created had all its payment, cart, check out messages going to the mail spam. This would ruin the reputation of your site. So lets put it aside for now. (Tested one 3 others websites same problem)

I havent had any problem with whogohost yet. And they have 24 hours customer care service, cheaper, good speed, affiliate program and help you with webpay integration.

IF YOU KNOW ANY OTHER GOOD NIGERIA WEB HOST BLA BLA LET US KNOW

If you doing a big project go for foreign hosts like hostgator or godaddy. They are more expensive (dollar ish u know) but reliable. They can handle websites with lost of traffic.

Now a lil secret, to get cheaper charge on hostgator use this coupon SOCIAL.

Next lesson FINDING THE RIGHT CMS
please comment to encourage more post.

I appreciate this post & interested in becoming a web designer cos I'm a gospel music artiste & wonto use it for myself & ministry. Pls can u teach(guide) me?

Romance / Re: Its Four Weeks To My Wedding But I Feel Like Running Away With My Ex. Pls Help by jameslucy: 6:55pm On Feb 16, 2015
dossypretty:
It took me so much courage before I could come out here to share my problem.

It all started in 2012 when I met my ex in Lagos and we kicked it off in a relationship but little did I know that he was still keeping a girl he claimed to have left, along the line we started having issues about the same girl to the point of him beating me.

This guy in question was once married but lost his wife after childbirth and so with this my parents refused me marrying him because he was talking about marriage. So after like 10 months he was still treating me bad I decided to quit the relationship but he begged that he will never do it again. Months later he travelled abroad and I also got a job in another city and left.

We still kept in touch but I met another man in the new city and decided to give him a chance. Though this new guy has no child but his problem is that he gets angry too much and wants to control everything about me but he is very generous . He doesn't even care if I'm sick or not, unlike my former guy who is more caring and always want to pet me.

Now I'm at a cross road because the one here has gone to see my parents and has set a date for the wedding and preparations are on top gear while the one abroad has come back to marry me like he promised. I'm really not happy with the one here because of his attitude and i'm contemplating on running away with the one from abroad because he understands me better.

Please is love enough in marriage?? Help me as your sister

Dear Sister & friend, I am a youth, married with 2kids & a called minister. My advice: Love is the most important in every marriage. It is normal to be nervous before marriage, but if you feel like running then it's serious. You also seem to have the gift of endurance that's why you keep meeting angry men. However, your peace and happiness is paramount to see you through trying times, cos it will surely come. Bottom line is, you need to chose fast and stop allowing the current man spend money if you prefer your ex. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you clearly. It's not time to worry. WHEN YOU'RE WORRIED YOU MAKE MISTAKES! You need LOVE & CARE! After the marriage, going back is a sin.

Family / Should I Allow My Wife Go? by jameslucy: 11:09pm On Feb 12, 2015
Having known her each time I visited my mum on holidays (who had divorced my dad since I was 6years old). In December 2006 we started dating. Her parents have also been seperated since she was 9. Her mum raised her and her 3 other siblings to SSCE level & couldn't help again. Life was not easy for me too as I sponsored myself through the University. After graduation, I went into taxi driving to survive while I seek greener pastures, and with it I sponsored her university education till graduation-alone. We wedded and have 2girls-5yrs & 8months. But my wife disrespects me, refuses to work to support me, does not care if I'v eaten or not or if I'm exhausted, tells me boldly that she doesn't care about our marriage, etc. I was compelled this evening to tell her to go to her mum if she's tired & feel life is better there than my best here. Her mum had encouraged her once to return if she wishes. She might be leaving 2morro. I love her but can't stand the troubles anymore. My mum warned me about her disrespectfulness-I didn't listen! Please advice me!

G12:
Abeg, you guys should just stop all these degree and class of degree talk already. It's annoying! After putting all effort to graduate well and be distinguished, up till now 2.1 has not fetched any good job.

Bact then, I have this female friend from another dept., on the verge of 3rd class. I had to start studying with her so she could be motivated. She finally graduated with a low 2.2 and now she is working. Her uncle is a minister, and now "she dey hardly pick my call again sef".

I know of another mate who graduated with a 3rd class, but now working with a big oil company(I dunno know her position sha).

No by 2.1 or 1st class o(but then whatever that is worth doing at all is worth doing well - one of my mantras).

I made a decision not to "struggle" for job again after I almost lost my life last year, when going for an aptitude test in Lagos from Abuja(EY).

Robbers and other people with bad intentions go on a mission and come back successfully, why should my life be endanger when I had not evil intention, but was only trying to take advantage of an opportunity that would better my life.

I have always gone an extra mile just to be outstanding in all that I do. Right now, I think it's high time God should please proove himself. I have surrendered on to him because, right now, it seems my strength can't help me no more.

God will not fail u, but be sure to be really 'clean' to avoid being ignored by God. Also, look inward too. They are many with God-given potentials to be CEOs yet they are looking for N10,000 month end salary jobs. It could even be a gift that will place u in life-my personal experience.

Agriculture / Re: Catfish Farming.Start Small.Let's talk diseases and treatments.coming soon.... by jameslucy: 12:56am On Jan 06, 2015
arramyjay:
So lets begin on a small Scale,my personal advice is to start really small,There are basically different types of pond,to illustrate the small scale production i will use wooden ponds.

The first thing is to know how much you are willing to part with.
Assuming we start with 350-400k.
This is the cost of some things.

Pond Construction
For a 18 by 6 by 4 ft = 80-100k This amount depends on which professional helps u constructs it( This basically can take about 800-1000 juveniles)it should be a complete pond with both outflow and inflow pipes

Juveniles = Assuming u start with about 1000. at 30naira per fish(juveniles) =30k i personally advice some1 without prior knowledge about catfish farming to start with combo juveniles and stock small quantity.

Feeding =it basically depends on how big you want your fishes to grow ( personally i Started with 2bags per week and continued to 3bags -4bags per week using coppens) feeding should cost about = 40*5= 200k my personal advice feed with coppens for abt 3months then change to local formula.

Bio-Disc = 50-70k ( Although most people use it for health purpose,i use it for my fishes) pls google to find out more about it.
water supply = I am assuming that there should be constant supply of water ( no need to add that to your cost)
At this point i must add that i use bio-disc to purify my water and basically some other things.I strongly recommend bio-disc.

If you have any question at all pls ask me, i will be glad to help out.

I want to get a loan to start Catfish farming, but I have no experience whatsoever. Is it a good idea? Cos I hear the also die like chickens-though I intend to buy juveniles only.
