Hello Corp members.... I recall during my service year while earning 19,800 and 5k in the school i worked ( This 5k wasn't even timely) in Oyo state saving money already seemed hard, thank God for my design skills...i was able to live fine and still save a bit. Some Corp members have it more rosy why some don't - You could be lucky to find a PPA that pays you up to 30k upwards, plus your allawee that's #63,000. I know prices of things are on the rise, but service year is a time to try and be prudent, no matter how little set aside something monthly, 3k, 5k or 10K depending on your earning. Building this character of saving would help a lot when you start working, if you can save something out of 40-50k while serving, how much more when you start earning over 200K? 5k for a year would yield 60K, now if you saved this money in a locked savings plan at 12% per annum, do the maths of the interest. There are so many legit saving apps out there, but i use reaprite. You can get started with the link on my bio. You'd be glad you did. Got questions drop it on the thread.

Hello guys! Good morning..... Its a good week to talk about money! sometimes i wonder why people stack a lot of funds in the bank. Yeah, it's safe and all, but then inflation is on the rise. The 10k of Aug 2022, is not same today, so each day there is a decline in your purchasing power if your leave your money in the bank, except of course it's your weekly 'running around' funds. Any thing else should be put to work! - Mutual funds, high yield savings, stock and investments. A lot of people have very poor financial habits and that's why they easily run into debts and have creditors chasing them up and down. Have you ever owed rent for months and you're wondering how come? with all the money you made - Well, that's because of poor financial choices. Let's paint a scenario - Your Rent is 800k and earn 200K Do you know locking up N66,666 monthly would easily amount to 800k at the end of the year? Now imagine if you're locking this money in a savings plan of atleast 12% p.a you would make at least 45K interest while saving for rent stress free. Personally, i put idle market to work in a couple of ways....after a few people join in. let me hear your thoughts on how you put money to work. |

otomatic: You did your research well - they actually invest into agro, they are not into agro |
![]() |
otomatic: for clarity...I wasn't clear about what you said about Funds being sec approved. The company doesn't run mutual funds... i will probably edit the reply for other readers. |

Redoil: Oga, before you jump into conclusion... read the question asked.... He asked "are their funds sec approved" I wasn't talking about mutual funds....probably that was what he implied. I want to believe Sec approved company is different from Sec approved funds i'm talking about savings platform, where you can save weekly or monthly while your money gains interest |

otomatic: Edited By Sec approved funds you mean mutual funds i guess...they don't offer mutual funds Reaprite is backed by an SEC regulated Trustee - Investment One Financial Services - through a trusteeship agreement. 1 Like |

Hi Guys... so i figured this section seems to be the most liveliest and i'm hoping we can engage and share our goals, especially financially, and how we hope to achieve this big goals before the year wraps. I believe someone would be inspired to work harder You can also add other goals if you don't mind Financial Goal: So I'm personally looking at getting at least 8-10 million by God's grace at the end of this year. Process: I'm hoping to achieve this through getting more gigs especially internationally (I'm Product Designer), Investing and staying above inflation with high interest savings plans. Progress: Q1 is ending, i'm doing my best but i'm no where close. ![]() Let's hear yours. ps: You can also drop realistic ideas to help people get closer to their goals. |
