Hello,

Marriage is the most beautiful and sweetest thing that ever happens to a man and a woman. It is the union of two people from two different background coming together to live as husband and wife. There are two types of marriage act, we have the customary marriage and statuitory marriage or (white weddind). The two types of marriage is valid before God and it is not conpulsory that both must be contracted.

In customary marriage, once the man pay the bride price and the wife is giving to him and she goes to his home, he is married and has not commited any sin before Jehovah God.He may wish to register hsi marriage so as to serve as a protection for his wife and children in the future and for the government to be aware of it. Then statuitory maerriage or white wedding as some called it is also valid and legal before Jehovah God and here the paying of bride price does not consumate or validate the marriage here. But if the person in question wishes to pay a bride price he could but even if he does not pay it , he is marriage, valid before Jehovah God.

Here the marriage would have been registered either in the court or church who have been given the authority to do so my the government. So if a person wishe to do just either customary or statuitory and the wife goes with him to his home and he make love to his wife, he has not sinned against Jehovah God.

I have not been invited but i had written their test last year and it was conducted by Waec and it took the whole day.We wrote 12 different papers of which you should read you Gmat, analytical, numerical, skill test, spatial reading,abstract reasoning ( has to do with differrent shapes which u mark the corresponding one).They are very very simple and straight to the point.The only prolem is that you need to be fast to finished them all.I got to the final stage interview and i did not hear from them anymore.Best of Luck guys to you all who has been invited.

Location: Geneva Office

Work Mode: Geneva Office Hours, but with frequent visits to West Africa and other work locations .

The Company
The Addax & Oryx Group was established in 1987 out of a combination of two major assets: an experience in international trade and a strong knowledge of the African Continent. Today it is a rapidly growing international oil company with its main activities in Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon and Iraq.

Organisation
The Geneva office is organised along a matrix structure where the different corporate discipline functions provide services and manpower to the asset teams. The asset team has a Geneva based part and an in-host country part. Each part has its own team leader reporting to the in-host country based asset manager. The main objective for the Geneva based part of the asset team is to develop the reservoir to its full extent, while the in host country part of the asset team is focussed on the daily production, maintaining and operation of the asset. The corporate discipline head has a ‘godfather’ role and functions as sparing partner for the engineers and ensure adherence to procedures and quality of the work.

The Position
The Facilities / Process Engineer will take a leading role in the definition and sizing of surface facilities for handling and treatment of oil, gas and produced water. The staff in the Facilities group provides operational support, project execution, engineering consultancy and technology development services.

Objectives of Job
To assist the Asset Team Leader on all process related design, engineering, planning and trouble shooting activities for all facilities, new and old.

Experience and Skill Required:
Facilities / Process engineer with an academic degree in either Chemical Technology, Oil & Gas Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with associated professional qualifications and 10+ years of relevant experience preferably with an oil and gas company operating in West Africa, with following skills:

Process simulation (familiarity with simulation tools, e.g. Hysys, Pipesim, C7+ characterisation).
Design of appropriate systems to meet throughput specifications.
Sizing of process system components.
Development of control and safeguarding philosophies and specifications.
Optimisation of plant performance.
Experience with onshore and offshore processing plants
Experience in both oil and gas processing.
Experience in waste handling e.g. produced water
Experience in preparation of design documents e.g. Basis for Design, Equipment data sheets, Process selection reports, Design philosophies.
Experience with engineering contractors
Operate in an environment demanding considerable customer focus.
Self-motivated, results oriented with conceptual and flexible mindset.
Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Other attributes important for fulfilling the job are:

Ability to work well in a team
Good communication skills in English – both written and verbal
Willingness to travel and for short assignments to Operating Companies.
Willingness and ability to operate in a multi-national environment
Ability to communicate both technical and managerial issues clearly both inside and outside the company.
Patience and tactful tenacity in dealing with government and regulatory bodies
Good understanding of contractual matters
Main Duties and Responsibilities
HSE Records
Ensure that all project activities in the field are executed safely and responsibly according to good oilfield practices and local legislation, without any personal injuries or threats to the health of individuals;
Ensure that all HSE procedures are adhered to, specified in contracts and updated/improved where necessary;
Staff Performance
Mentor 3rd party contractors
Business Integrity
Play a key role as the liaison between Petroleum Engineering, Production Operations, Well Engineering and Field Engineering for surface facilities development including pipelines.
Ensure that the necessary Process Engineering input is delivered to change projects and operational plans.
Ensure that all activities in the field are executed in adherence to the Company’s operational and safety policies and propose improvements where deemed necessary.
Profitability
Carries out special projects as assigned, such as production optimisation studies. This may include well productivity enhancement methods, facilities designs with recommendations for standardisation of equipment and process modelling.
Responsible for design, analysis and optimisation of the performance of all oil/gas gathering, separation and processing facilities.
Investment Projects
Maintain a system which directly highlights Capital and Operating Expenditure;
External Relationships
Ensure that good communication is maintained within the field, the Geneva organisation and with contractors.

•Connecting clients' wireless devices to Hubs, Switches or routers using UTP 5 cables crimping.
•Internet Gateway monitoring and clients account administration. As a network administrator monitoring e+NET users and RF link remotely using different types of network software’s as a Simple Network Monitoring Protocol (SNMP). Some of the SNMP software’s used are: what’s Gold, Solar wind, Linux (Redhat) and Microsoft Windows.
•Configuration and installation of Base repeaters and Bridges.
•Configuration and installation of client wireless devices.
•Performing link test for repeaters and client wireless devices.
•Maintenance, upgrading and monitoring of the Metropolitan Area Network backbone repeaters.
Designing and implemented wireless network segmentation using router to segment the network (e+NET) to be more redundant in term of packet routing in the network.
•Installation and configuration of NT Servers as routers, domain controller and or proxy for clients.
•Configuration of Point-To-Point Tunneling for clients with several branches over the MAN network.
•General LAN troubleshooting.
•Wireless network monitoring and support services.

I would prefer between N960,000 -N1.5m
and i can work in any place in nigeria except the northern state (Abuja not inclusive).

Thnx Ynot. U r very correct from all angles: We r in the new age where everything has virtually become easy. But thn like u rightly pointed out, the mouse can go haywire sometimes. And tht's wht I want to take care of. I hate the idea tht I can't do anything because my mouse is not performing. Thanx once again. I will take it seriously.
