Education / Ten Quotes Every Caring Parent Must Read! by jes7: 1:49pm On Jul 01, 2015 |
If you are a parent who would like to have a greater influence on your child's learning, read the quotes below and visit our website www.jeshconcepts.com for more information on how you can help your child become a better person. “There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent” - Mahatma Ghandi • “The home is the chief school of human virtue” -William Etheny Channing • “A child educated only at school is an undereducated child” –George Santayana • “Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve” –Roger Lewin • “Once children learn how to learn, nothing is going to narrow their mind. The essence of teaching is to make learning contagious, to have idea spark another” –Marva Collins • “If the child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, the excitement, and the mastery of the world we live in” – Rachel Carson • “The home is the first and most effective place to learn the lesson of life: truth, honour, virtue, self-control, the value of education, honest work, and the purpose and privilege of life. Nothing can take the place of home in rearing and teaching children, and no other success can compensate for failure in the home.” –David O. McKay • “When I look at a child, I see a living, breathing person, made in God’s image, for whom God has a plan. As educators, we need to embrace a new notion of learning…we need to engage the hearten order to effectively educate the child. Our vision of a well-educated child is a child who has a heart for learning, a child who has the tools he needs to continue to learn for a lifetime and a child who has the love to want to do it” –Elizabeth Foss • “We cannot continue to send our children to Caesar for their education and be surprised when they come home as Romans.” –Voddie T. Baucham Jr • “Children, even when very young, have the capacity for inventive thought and decisive action. They have worthwhile ideas. They perceptive connections. They’re individuals from the start: a unique bundle of interest, talents, and preferences. They have something to contribute. They want to be part of things. It is up to us to give them the opportunity to express their creativity, explore widely and connect with their own meaningful work” –Lori McWilliam Pickert |

cold: I wish you are asking out of a sincere desire to know the truth. To answer your question, you should know that God is the all-wise and merciful God, at every point in time He reaches out to everyone so that in judgement no one would say he did not know the truth. Acts 17:30-31. God knows those who are sincerely searching for him and in every age and every time, He will reveal himself to them. Maybe you should leave others and ask yourself if God has tried to reach out to you. I believe He has! |

cold: Read Romans 2. The bible states that our ancestors who did not have the word of God will be judged based on their conscience, because God's law is written on our conscience. |
Religion / Re: If Christ Is The True Only Way To Heaven, What Of These People ?? ( Must Read) by jes7: 5:29pm On May 31, 2015 |
kimond101: All these prophets you mentioned were Jews and the bible gives a logical link between all of them and how they all pointed unequivocally to the coming of Christ. In fact specific mentions were made about Christ's birth, life and death. The Jews were fully aware of the fact that a messiah was coming. This messiah was to bring total and final redemption to humanity. So to deviate from the plan of God by bringing a non Jew of whom nothing had been said previously with regards to the salvation of mankind is impossible! Now every one can come to God because of the sacrifice of Christ, no one else but Christ alone. |

johnydon22:No sir! The burden of proof lies on you. The belief in God had always been. Now you come to tell us God does not exist and you just wants us to believe you just like that? Prove it logically and persuasively if you want us to believe you. 1 Like |

Weah96:I have not referred to any book here so don't jump to another argument. All I have said is that it is more plausible to infer an intelligence behind something as complex as the human mind than to say nothing did it or that it is a product of chance. If you disagree with what I have said can you give a more plausible explanation for the origin of life and the wonder of the coded information in the DNA? 1 Like |

davien:I am not trying to prove anything here, I am only responding to the weak argument that says for us to prove there is a creator we have to keep proving there is a creator of the creator. But if you need a prove that God exists, there are many proofs. On the other hand I am very sure you cannot prove that God does not exist. 2 Likes |
Religion / Re: I Dont Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist by jes7: 4:55pm On Mar 19, 2015 |
johnydon22:That something is simpler does not make it true. The first level of reasoning is that the world we live in and life itself is a product of intelligence even if you are scared of calling that intelligence God. I think it makes a more intellectual sense to assume we were created than to think we are a mindless product of chance and time. You think of it, is it easier to infer chance anytime we see an information or to infer intelligence? If you see a writing on the floor wishing you happy birthday on you birthday will you say it was just chance that nobody did it? The DNA contains billions of intelligently arranged letters containing very complex information, now tell me chance or intelligence which should be inferred here? 2 Likes |

davien:you are the one not following the logic. My line of argument is that to prove there is a creator, you don't necessarily have to prove the creator must have been created. so to say for there to be a creator, there has to be the creator of the creator does not in anyway prove that there is no creator. 3 Likes |

davien: There you go again. I am saying I don't need to know Bill Gates to accept Microsoft was created. The complexity and programming of the computer is enough for me as a rational being to believe it must have been intelligently put together by an intelligent mind. There are many people who have never heard of or know Bill Gates exists who will absolutely believe the computer was made by someone. Even if I can't see God or know him, it is simply rational to accept that a complex being like me is not a product of chance or a thoughtless process. 2 Likes |

allanphash7: This is a very weak argument. you don't need to know who created the creator to believe there is a creator. for instance you don't need to know who created Bill Gate to accept microsoft was made by him. again, this question of who created the creator will only be necessary if we are talking about a created God; the Christian God is not a created God! 1 Like |
Religion / Re: Christmas Is Idolatrous And Unscriptural - Pastor Kumuyi by jes7: 10:44am On Dec 25, 2013 |
Why so much noise about Christmas celebration? If Jesus wanted us to celebrate it He would have said it. Have we asked ourselves why Christ and the apostles said nothing about it? Instead of wasting our time talking, lets check up our lives to see if we obey the teachings of Jesus. Christ is more interested in us keeping His words than celebrating his birth! "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed" John 8:31 -KJV 2 Likes |

Religion / Re: We Will Celebrate Christmas - Catholics To Kumuyi by jes7: 10:49pm On Dec 24, 2013 |
Let the bible speak on this issue Isaiah 1 vs 14-18: 14 Your New Moon feasts and your appointed festivals I hate with all my being. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them. 15 When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood! 16 Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. 17 Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed.[a] Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. 18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you still live in sin, celebrating Christmas does not win you any favour with God and if you are living right, celebrating Christmas does not make you a better Christian either, so what is the point? |

Religion / Re: Is It Possible To Live Without Sin? by jes7: 2:41pm On Aug 18, 2013 |
emmysenior: Nobody can live without sin. Then nobody will go to heaven because no sin can enter heaven. The bible says in 1 John 3:9 that 'whosoever is born of God does not commit sin...' Instead of remaining in our sins thinking everyone else is doing the same why not let us go to God and ask Him to change us and give us the divine nature He promised. We can live without sin as long as we stop depending on our self-effort and ask God to change us completely. |

CAMEROONPRIDE: Jesus even in His Human form possessed the very nature of God, that was why he told Thomas that he that have seen Him has seen the Father (John 14:9&10), that was why he could rise from the dead. God himself said He will honour all those that honour Him, in fact He said He will have respect for them, does it mean those people should be worshiped? Abraham was called 'blessed' in him shall all the nations of the world be blessed, does it mean we should make an image of Abraham ans start worshiping him? |

The bible says we should pray for one another (the living for the living), In fact it specifically says we should call for the elders of the church to pray for us. James 5: 14. Mary is dead and she is not omnipresent or omniscient like God to know your needs and individual request, how then can she pray to God for you? The bible says we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous 1 John 2:1,2. Why not just go straight to Jesus? Ifymma: 1 Like |

'In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God... and the word was made flesh and dwelt among us...' John 1:1-14 NEVER YOU COMPARE MARY WITH CHRIST, CHRIST WAS NOT MERE HUMAN BUT MARY WAS LIKE EVERYONE OF US. Do you know that Christ created all things, including Mary? CAMEROONPRIDE: u said Mary shouldn't b honored because she was a mere human, well Jesus was a human too, maybe we shouldn't honor him too, besides do you know humans are the most beautiful creature , the most beautiful thing created by God? He made us to his own image, so what's wrong with being a mere human? God so much loves human that he gave us his son and made him human to forgive our sins. Dude repent. Mary was human so what? She doesn't deserve your respect? |
Religion / Re: Catholics Commemorate The Assumption Of The Blessed Virgin Mary by jes7: 2:55pm On Aug 15, 2013 |
chuqudy: God is no respecter of persons, whoever bows down to any image in the name of worship is sinning against God. This is not a matter of sentiment! That people do that does not justify your actions, all of you will be seen as idol worshipers before God. Why didn't Peter and other apostles worship mary, in fact she was not even given any position in the church. Every message of the apostles centred on Christ and you know, 'God has highly exalted Christ and has given him a name above every other name that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is the Lord..' Philippians 2: 9-11 Jesus only is our message Jesus all our theme shall be We will lift up Jesus ever Jesus only we will sing |
