I believe that this is a respectable forum formed with good intent and should have matured members that can contribute odjectively on issues raised and not where immature indviduals should come and display ill manners. The world is a global village my dear. If you must know, i must not be in nigeria to be abreast with what is happenning there. In case you care about the statistics i can mention cases like Uchelinko murdered at nnewi, TONIMASS kIdnapped at nneni,pokobros kidnapped at awka,Ogbuawa kidnapped at nnewi,pit edochie kidnapped at onitsha, mrs chukwuogor kidnapped at awka , and many more cases which i cannot begin to list here. These cases and many more happenned  within the last four(5) months. Be sincere and call a spade a spade and stop petending as if all is well. You must also remember that we are talking about someones life here.

There is a saying that what goes around comes around.Erastus Akingbola has the reputation of sacking intercontinental staff without reason.
Recently in june he sacked over 400 staff( forced resignation) without reason and without  benefit.meanwhile some of the staff have served the bank for close to 10years. Borrowing money for business is not a crime cos the banks make income from these facilities. The crime is when the loan is not performing.
The problem in nigeria is that everyone claims to be right. CBN says jimoh is owing a non perfoming N14B but he says that his indebtedness is N8b and claims it is performing. The question is WHO IS LYING ? CBN OR JIMOH IBRAHIM?

I think that what you have experienced is only PAPER LOSS. You can only get a real loss when you sell those stocks at the prevailing price.
My advice is that stock market is always for long term not a quick money doubling venture and you do not invest short term funds in such an instrument.
I believe that there are chances that you will realize your investment objective in the long run since the companies are not DEAD yet.
Just be patient.
