In addition to what my oga Emeka said, U can also try any ministry of education nearer to you. Of course that's if you know someone working there who can receive it on your behalf.

emeka55:

U should also consider that your transcript needs to be certified. If ur school will be sending it directly to the universities, then they should consider certifying it. That would cost u quite a lot getting different transcripts for diff Universities especially when u are applying to Universities not under uni-assist.
Try get an agent that handles study and travel matters in the state where u reside and talk to them about using their address for ur transcript and ask ur school to send ur transcript directly to the agent's office and then go there to collect it. U and the agent could agree on something.

@princeolu this date of birth ish u mentioned is the problem I am having. And I have already dropped my certificate for correction but I'm applying for the next winter semester. I pray they would have made the correction before then. But if worst comes to worse I will use my NECO(which is not that bad) but the WAEC grades are too good to be ignored

princeolu254:

What i know is that getting new WAEC Certificate takes months...it happened to me when i had an error with my date of birth, i couldnt wait for WAEC for correction, i ended up using affidavit to back it up....All i can suggest is always attached the original and printout together and scratch card also incase they need to verify.
Travel / Re: German Embassy And Visa by kayusboss: 6:53am On Nov 05, 2013
@princeolu u mean I have to show proficiency in German for embassy even if the course I'm going for is taught in English??

princeolu254:

YOU NEED GERMAN LANGUAGE TO STUDY BECAUSE PREPARATORY COURSES ARE BEEN TAUGHT IN GERMAN NOT ENGLISH

SO THE EMBASSY KNOWS THAT AND YOU WILL BE ASK TO PROVIDE IT DURING YOUR INTERVIEW OR YOU MIGHT BE DENIED THE VISA...BESIDE ITS PART OF THE VISA APPLICATION REQUIREMENT

Thanks for the clarification...hope the ITKS realize the question was not stupid afterall

Toluth: Actually, starting from summer 2014 prospective students would have to first upload scanned copy of their application to uni-assist after which it would be processed and u can now send it to their mail.
Note: their reason was that they would be able to check the eligibility and the completeness of your docs and if its not complete you can as well add it before sending by post.
I got this from their website, so check through the site, u will see it there.
This is to clarify the question asked by the guy asking about uploading scanned copy.
From my post I hope you know you would have to do both.

Hello house,
After certifying your documents with embassy or at the high court, is it by post that I will send the documents to uni-assist or will I scan it and upload it on my profile on uni-assist website?

Thanks a lot bro
Jamoyt001:

I will advise you to first scan your waec result, swear an affidavit on d mistake and den certify it. After doing this, return d original certificate to waec for correction. With this, even if d original correction has not being made by waec, u can still apply with the already certified one with sworn affidavit.

Bros Emeka, the thing is I don't want to take chances..someone called a waec official on my behalf and he said it takes between 6-12 months. I'm really confused thor=emeka55]

Next year winter is quite a long time. That's around June/July next year. Waec should have corrected the error by then[/quote]
Travel / Re: German Embassy And Visa by kayusboss: 5:50pm On Oct 24, 2013
My ogas, I just collected my original Waec certificate on Wednesday and I discovered there was an error on my date of birth. I collected a letter identifying the error from the principal of my secondary school that I should take to Waec office at yaba.
And I will be applying for the next winter semester and I must have the correct one before the application opens. Is an affidavit enough to cover up for such error because I don't know how long it will take waec to make the correction.
Please advice.
Thanks in advance

Fill and print the from, but don't sign it. Take it to the embassy, u'd sign it in front of the VO. U'd also submit it there they will b d one to send it on your behalf.

Bros thanks so much. I have university transcripts so that wont be a problem. how long does it take to attain B2 because i think that is the minimum requirements for most schools
honourableseyi:

Getting a visa with Language course does not increase your chances of getting visa but diminish it. Since they have language school here in Nigeria, why do you want to go to Germany with the same purpose? When you can spend less here. If you have been following this thread from page 1, it has been noted that going for a language course is a red flag. Don't think about getting admission alone, but think about what the V.O will think before taking any step. But I believe your best bet under this circumstance is to go through studentkollege if you don't have a year university transcripts or A-level. You may also be lucky with ND provided your school is not under uni-assist. Also, going through the studentkolleg will required you to register for German class at Goethe institute in Lagos, write the exams, get your A2/B1/B2 certificate and apply with it. I believe my ogas at the top will shed more light on this though. Shalom

Go and apply for diploma. If you are in Lagos try Unilag but its just that application has closed for the coming session moreover it is somehow expensive.

princeolu254:

I did my interview today and was not giving any Maths test. I thank God I was Able to answer all their questions but it was the old German lady kind of harsh but all was ok, I was told my application as been sent to Germany and once they get reply they will inform me. praying hard now and in panic. I need God favour.

Hello guys,
I intend travelling to Germany middle of next year. But I'm applying for a language school and later to a university to apply for another degree. My WAEC is ok and if not for ASUU i should have been a graduate. How good are my chances of getting a visa?
