Tomide007:
Since buhari can't sit up which I would have adviced him to do, then I think we need a military coup in Nigeria that will conduct a fresh election and bar all politicians who have held any appointments from contesting.

Brilliant!

So we can fight another civil war and arrive at exactly this same position, 50 years later.

OLAADEGBU:

You may be right that my reasoning skills get folks befuddled. I am also thinking what difference there is between the Ruga Settlement and the Obudu Cattle ranch? cool

If you want to solve a problem, you start from the root. The root is desertification which is getting the pastoral folk increasingly desperate.

The technology to tackle desertification is already available. As we speak China is greening vast tracts of the Gobi desert. If you pursue this with the same vigour you’re pursuing Ruga, you stand a chance of turning around the economic fortunes of bothe NW and NE while ensuring peaceful coexistence.

We will evacuate the lnd and repopulate it with a new group of "locals" from Chibok. Go and ask the Palestinians. In 50 years soe Ijaw people will point at Nembe and say we used to live there

Just imagine what a modern African is saying here. You will commit ethnic cleansing on your brothers so that you can steal their property undisturbed. Na war oh!

When are we going to have the African renascence?

Foreign Affairs / Re: Isa Muazu Deported From Britain With A Private-Jet by Kemet: 12:52am On Dec 01, 2013
Mr Muazu told a Court of Appeal earlier this week that he would “rather die” than be deported. He first arrived in the UK on a visitor's visa in 2007 but overstayed, saying he faced persecution at the hands of Boko Haram, a hardline Islamist group. His application to remain was refused, and he was detained by the immigration authorities for removal on July 25 this year.

Daddy, you can lie!!

AwodwaGyanOniwe: EAST AND SOUTHERN EAST AFRICA OIL
Am sure these countries will do better than NIGERIATHESE ARE GOOD NEWS FOR SOUTH AFRICA WHO HAVE UNTAPPED OIL ALSO.
http://crossedcrocodiles.files./2012/04/eaoil1-4rifts.jpg

Dude,

Oil and gas are like 16% of Nigeria's GDP. So all this talk about oil is really a load of hot air. Non-oil GDP growth has outstripped growth from oil. These are the facts. It might be painful but Naija is on a sustainable growth trajectory. We can't help it. It's structural and we are BIIIIIG.

Ok. Go hang.

i for one will prefer a "criminal" type of Buhari/fashola combo of APC to that of retardeen/sambo combo of killer party. Afterall, none are saints. besides one group has been tested and currently failing while the other hasnt but has enough potentials.

In your dreams, a Muslim/Muslim ticket after sharia and BH crises. Please do a re-think. You just lost the MB with that one.
Politics / Re: Pictures Of Illegal Oil Refineries In Bayelsa by Kemet: 11:36am On Jan 18, 2013
This your maths is fuzzy. How do you want to achieve the miracle of using N20 billion to pay 1 million people, N20,000 a month for one year? N240 billion is nearer the mark.

As an aside, can you think about the social and economic consequences of paying people money for doing Bleep all? Building free houses everywhere? Unless your plan is to destroy free enterprise, individual responsibility and self reliance, your suggestions, to be polite, are quite dangerous.
ndu_chucks:

The population of Bayelsa is 2million. I'd argue that a social welfare program which would make N20,000 per month available to 50% of the population or 1 million people is in order. It would only cost N20billion to fund the project for 1 full year!! This is less than 10% of NNDC's 2012 budget.

NNDC should focus on providing free housing to the masses, what da heck are they developing in the area? Let the governors partner with private businesses to provide infrastructure and other development projects. The projects which NNDC focuses on do not benefit the people covered in oil depicted in the posted pictures by the OP.

Bayelsans are robbing Bayelsans blind.

Naijaking, stop being disingenuous on this matter, stop blaming the the piping of oil to Kaduna or Lagos for the demise of these unfortunate people.

ndu_chucks:

The bolded above is not the main reason for these senseless and self destructive acts of the good people of Bayelsa. NDDC was established in 2000 with the mission of facilitating the rapid, even and sustainable development of the Niger Delta into a region that is economically prosperous, socially stable, ecologically regenerative and politically peaceful.

For the past 12 years, NNDC has received over N3.3Trillion ($20+ billion) to help improve the lives of these people. Additionally, the Governors have recieved more than $300 - 500billion in the same period. What have the ND governors and the administrators of NNDC spent the money on and why have they ignored the masses? These are the people who should be blamed for the demise of the poor people of ND.

This year alone, N250billion was budgeted for NNDC, but the Chairman of the commission, Dr. Chris Oboh shamefuly said it would require about N1.3 trillion to enable it fund several ongoing capital projects in the oil rich region instead of the N250, during a hearing!!

To show you how irresponsible these people are, let me use Bayelsa as an example:

The population of Bayelsa is 2million. I'd argue that a social welfare program which would make N20,000 per month available to 50% of the population or 1 million people is in order. It would only cost N20billion to fund the project for 1 full year!! This is less than 10% of NNDC's 2012 budget.

Politics / Re: JTF Attacks: Genocide In Borno, Yobe - Elders Cry Out by Kemet: 9:38am On Aug 18, 2012
VolvoS60:

In war (and Nigeria IS at war with itself on several fronts, believe it or not), truth is the first casualty.

It is true that Boko Haram has sympathizers in the general population in borno and yobe. There is no question about that. However, it is very wicked to claim that all those who have died in Borno and Yobe are either Boko Haram members or sympathizers. How can this be true, given what we know about the Nigerian military?

It is evil to justify the killing of innocents (and the army IS killing innocents in Yobe and Borno, make no mistake about it)angry. Those who are rejoicing here should remember that it could be their communities caught in the crossfire tomorow. And there will be no one to speak for them then.

A large number of Naijas are sadists oh. Especially when it is not in their back yard.

For me. It is not in my backyard, so kill'em all and let Allah reward his own cheesy cheesy

slimnike: Hey guys, I have been doing this thing for a long time now but i don't know if it's wrong. Each time after I've taken my bath i don't normally rub cream around my private and recently i noticed that there is dryness around that area, as a result of not using cream around that area,so I've started using cream. I want to know is it ideal?

You don't need anyone's permission to have a self-service. No point hiding under all this dryness and cream bulls*t.
