Maybe someone should open a Ludus so we can have a 'kill them all' Roman style, like a lot of people here are championing. Meanwhile note that at least two of the mugus have some kinda charm around their waste ...worked out really well for them I guess . Next thing now someone will say this particular charm doesn't work for AK47 ... WE GIVE UPPPP!!! (Copyright amunaekeuto1 of nairaland) |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: David Beckham Retires From Football by keneslow: 8:37pm On May 16, 2013 |
I'd put Ryan Giggs ahead of him in the wing department. Guys like Arjen Robben also featured in the EPL at one point remember? Beckham is/was a very good player, but definitely not tier 1. I'd put him at tier 2B; great career regardless. Jarus: I used to say he was overrated. But in hindsight, he wasn't actually overrated. At least nobody ever said he was the best player on planet. |
Religion / Re: Missing Joystick...Real Spiritual Phenomenon? or Urban Legend? by keneslow: 1:39am On Mar 20, 2013 |
Na so ... We are soooo far behind in this our country. Let me give two examples to help illustrate what I'm trying to say. 1. Bill Gates comes to Nigeria and goes to your village where he meets you great grandma who has never left there her entire life. She asks him how he got there and he explains that he came in a great metal bird that flies in the sky. When the old woman laughs and says such is impossible, he takes her on a spin in his Gulf Stream V; seeing is believing and problem solved. 2. Seun goes to America and decides to stop over real quick at New Orleans. While he is there he gets into a chat with the boyz in the hood talking about how he can deflect bullets and turn into a cat at will. When they ask for a demo, Seun will say well "boys true talk no be me do am sha but if you go nairaland u go see enough people wey sabi as the thing dey work". We tend to believe without reasoning or thinking. If someone is going around making outlandish claims that they can deflect bullets for example, is it not practical that said person be ready to give a demo of his ability? Anyway these people wen dem tap their eggroll, one pesin talk say nothing remain another pesin talk say na small pikin 'pipi' remain. So which is it? Rooneyboy: 3 Likes |

Religion / Re: Is Money Ritual A Myth Or True? by keneslow: 5:27pm On Nov 07, 2012 |
Amen to that! God bless you and your hustle because you are enlightened ... Most people are too lazy to use their brain to innovate, that's the problem. Pain: I no some money making rituals too. This is it. |
Religion / Re: Is Money Ritual A Myth Or True? by keneslow: 12:54am On Nov 07, 2012 |
When you do not have understanding, you ask questions and inquire so that you get enlightened and illuminated ... Logically, the burden of proof rests on the person making a positive claim. So if someone says that they can make money roll from a human head it is not up to me to disprove his claim, he needs to show concrete proof. The problem I have is that when I ask people for concrete proof of the absurdities they claim ( for example, someone told me they saw a woman turn into a bat in living daylight), they can offer no proof. Na only dem say, he say, she say.. Of course things like herbs and such exist and will work; is modern medicine not just evolution of traditional alchemy? But for someone to believe that a human head can vomit money endlessly is quite sad, and is When you work hard, use your brain to think and innovate, and reap the fruits of your labor you will start to understand what it takes to be successful. Like someone already mentioned, most people that believe in a lot of these outlandish ideas are usually not very smart people. If you ask pesin wey build airplane how e carry build am, dem go show you step by step. If you ask jazzman how e take turn into lion ... COOLDUN: I have been reading and waiting to hear from those people that oppose the existence of money ritual, but have not yet seen any proof from them only bashing words without any logical backing, if anyone believes that there is Devil, then let that fellow know that with Devil every evil related activities like money ritual is real. To me I have not tried it before, and will never dare to try it. Also I am not ruling out its existence. There are forces of darkness and evil men/women who work with them. These people are known as the workers of iniquities. Take it or leave it. If it does not exist then let us know through your logical points, and not bashing from your beer parlor ideologies. 1 Like |

Here is a challenge I posted about 6 months ago on Nairaland. I am very open minded and when something does not make sense to me, I ask questions to try and understand. We live in a world that works 99% on logic, so I try to model most things I do along those lines. That being said, here goes. Feel free to replace bullet proof jazz with any jazz of your choice :-) : The same way wey Seun dey post programming challenge, my own today na Jazz challenge . Our 'company' is looking to test this African "bullet proof" jazz. We visit Nigeria about three times a year. The rules are simple: you wear your bullet proof jazz and we get to pepper you with shots from handguns and rifles of our choice; no explosives. After 5 minutes we will cease all fire and if you are still alive you get a grand sum of N25 million and also a life-time contract working with our 'company' to fully develop "jazz bullet proof". You will be payed N50 million per year. You must sign our release form; one of the clauses is if you die from this experiment, we the 'company' bear zero liability. Oya I dey wait, and make una no tell me say na your friend papa grandfather sabi do am or u no fit reveal the secret. Carry come 3 Likes |
Computers / Re: Difference Between China HP And Original HP? by keneslow: 7:33am On Jul 06, 2012 |
maryjames9: There's lot of misconception here.I sell laptops,so i have an authority here.More than 90% laptops and even electronics are assembled in china by companies like hp,dell and other make. They have offices in china due to their cheap labour and favourable business environment than U.S which have heavy tax. There's no such laptop as fake hp or original hp. For the poster dat said he saw the same spec of laptop for 98 and 120k respectively. It's possible the clock spead is different and even if it's the same the shop you buy it matters a lot. There are shops that have already made name and dont gun for small profit no more, while others who desperately want customers.Besides, fluctuation in market dynamics affects pricing. You can get a genuine laptop delivered to you at the comfort of your room by Delmak Technology in lagos, ibadan, ilorin by caln 08062144308. Thanks Bros Biko don't mislead people trying to market your company. There is a difference, and it is all down to quality control set by different governments. Basically there are standards and benchmarks that you must meet before you can sell your product in a specific market. |

Religion / Re: Stop It! No One Spoke In Unknown Tongues In The Bible! by keneslow: 6:16pm On Feb 24, 2012 |
I was born and raised in a Christian home. However, as I've grown older and wiser I have been moving away from organized religion more and more. It is startling the extent to which people have refused to think with their God given brain. Does it make any sense to you that God is speaking to you through his servant, yet you have not a clue what the person is saying? Oy Vey! People open your minds, ask questions, and try to reason through things. Don't be a sheep the follower, be a shepherd the leader. The problem with religion in general is that is based on faith not fact or any discernible logic; hence every argument for it will be subjective. Why then does the Christian doctrine condemn followers of another religion (if you are not a born again christian you will burn in the hell of fire)? Or say Muslims condemn Christians etc Have you ever asked yourself why we are Christians, one God world without end yet we have a billion different denominations in the same Christianity? Some denominations even refuse to get married to one from another denomination. Anyway as for me today, I can never condemn or uplift any person based on their faith; Be you Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Traditionalist, Scientologist or whatever tickles your fancy. Be a good person, live your life the right way, love your neighbor, and I believe great things await you in the afterlife ( or your next incarnation in life as a rabbit :-) ). Knowledge is Power; Carpe Diem! |
Webmasters / Re: Why Give Us Ebay When We Dont Have Paypal? by keneslow: 5:31pm On Dec 02, 2011 |
Yup, for those that don't know PayPal is indeed owned by eBay and they have created one of the biggest current monopolies. And no, eBay and PayPal are not your friends; Just wait till they 'limit' then shut down your account for no apparent reason other than your account shows 'excessive risk'. They are trying to gear their services towards the big retailers only like Buy.com and the rest of them. How the hell can you expect a small business like mine to have a reversal rating below 2% (mind you this includes returns, refunds, and charge backs whether is is your fault or not) ? People buy things everyday on a whim and decide they don't want it anymore tomorrow. For the mathematically challenged, this means that if you sell 100 items and more than 2 have problems of any kind then pray that your account does not get reviewed , |

Business / Re: Do 80% Of Nigerians Truly Live On Less Than $2? by keneslow: 8:59pm On Nov 03, 2011 |
Unless we have some concrete, official numbers this argument will remain subjective. Let me add though, that it seems like some people have not seen Nigerians living in true poverty. One person mentioned people sleeping in houses made of zinc and wood and categorized them among the poor. I guess you haven't been to the villages where people still live in mud huts and the kids all run around naked; a lot of these places are not accessible by motor vehicle. You have to disembark at some point and walk the rest of the way. No, this is not a fairy tale. Also there are places where you can eat for N40 (without :-), for those who know what that means ) per meal. $2/day equates to about N320 or N10,000 a month and that is really not far away from where the majority of Nigerians are. |
