When Leicester city took the lead at the KP
Stadium in a rescheduled EPL game last night
against Chelsea, it didn't come as a fluke for a
team that showed they came out for the game for
the whole of 3points in the game to further boost
their chances of escaping relegation after just 1
season in the top flight. Before the Chelsea game,
Nigel Pearson's men were on a 4-game winning
run and was hoping for a 5th consecutive
victories over Chelsea. But just like a stuff of a
typical champion, Chelsea reacted in the last
40mins and got 3 goals to ensure they remain
just 3 points of winning their 1st EPL title in 5
years.

CHELSEA FC - A WORTHY CHAMPION?
Yes by far, from the start of the season until this
stage of the season, no EPL club has been good
as Chelsea. Jose Mourinho declared at the start
of the season that his team is a title contender,
in what is a sharp contrast to what Mou said all
through last season when You described his team
as a "little horse" in the title race and it was no
surprise that Chelsea went trophyless last
season. the question now is what has changed in
the Chelsea team that went trophyless to a team
that wins 2 titles this season? the difference is
Diego Costa's 19 goals already this season.
Chelsea were good last season just like theyve
been good this season, they paid the price of not
having a striker that could deliver a double digit
goals last season. Mou knew what was missing
in his team and it wasn't a surprise he splashed
the cash on Diego Costa from A.Madrid despite
his poor injury record. fast forward now, Costa's
19 goals is a major reason why Chelsea is
coasting home with the title now. Amazingly,
Costa did not score a single goal in the UEFA
champ league where Chelsea were knocked out
pre-maturedly. so what Costa bought just to
deliver EPL goals? maybe
the qualities of a champion are consistency,
character, doggedness, resilient and discipline and
all these Chelsea have shown this season.

FUTURE
If Chelsea had enjoyed a remarkable 2014/2015
season, then I can say next season and seasons
to come looks very bright for the Stamford bridge
landlord. Apart from having a team that conceded
the least number of goals, lost the least number
of games, scored the highest number of goals and
recorded the highest number of away wins in the
EPL this season, the team can still be proud of
great talents like M.Salah and co on loan outside
d club which should add strength to Chelsea next
season if recalled, the team can still into thier
youth set up for a great season they've had this
season. their U-21s won the UEFA U-21 C.L and
their youth team won the English youth FA Cup.
names like Dominic Solanke, Nathan Ake , and a
couple of youngsters are ready for EPL battle
next season. My only problem with Chelsea now
is their back 4. Ivanovic future is not certain,
Terry is ageing, Felipe Luis has not been
convincing but then their is still a certain Kourt
Zouma...congrats to all Chelsea fans

The former Commissioner of Youth and Sports in Oyo State, and the immediate past Commissioner for Industry, Applied Science and Technology, who is also the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the House of Representatives to represent the good people of Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency in the next general elections, Mr Dapo Lam Adesina has resigned from the Oyo State Executive Council.

He resigned in order for him to focus on his electioneering campaign, and in line and comformity with the electoral act which stipulates such for intending aspirants.

In his resignation letter addressed to the Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, while thanking him for the opportunity given to serve under him, he assured the Governor of his loyalty, prayers and continued support at all times, and also thanked him for all the support given to him while he was in charge of the two (2) ministries.

He thereafter declared his assets as follows:
(1) A 3 bedroom Bungalow built on a land transferred to him by his late father,Alhaji Lam Adesina.
(2) A 2007 Honda Accord car owned by him since 2011.
(3) A 1999 Mercedes Benz(E Class) owned by his late father.
(4) A Campaign bus owned by his late father.
(5) One Thousand (1000) units of GTB shares.
(6) Thirty Four (34) units of Union Bank shares.
(7) Six Hundred and Thirty Eight (638) units of First Bank shares.
( A current account with First Bank,Orita Challenge, Ibadan with a balance of #280,000 (Two hundred and eighty thousand naira only).

The event which had in attendance top sportcasters in the country like Toyin Ibitoye of Channels TV, Ojeikhere Aikhoje of Supersport, Emmanuel Etim of the Femi and The Gang and Adepoju Tobi Samuel of Top Radio 90.9 had a full crowd in attendance amidst tight security.

I have heard and read a lot of criticism on the choice of the appointment of Amodu Shuiabu as the Eagles coach for just 2 games. While some argued that he has not been active for years, some wrote he's broke to have accepted the offer while many people believes his choice was wrong. I think in fairness to Amodu, he deserves praise for ALWAYS offering to step in when we find ourselves in this situation. 4 times he has been there before and he NEVER disapointed on any of the occassions! (I stand to b corrected).

First and foremost, let me ask those that said he was a wrong choice. How many of our local coaches could offer to be in charge of the Eagles for just 2 games when it was obvious that the NFF had settled to bring in a foreign coach? Can Equavoen, Oliseh, baba Onigbinde, Chukwu and even Samson Siasia or any other name u could think of agree to be part of this arrangement? I don't think so,they will all want a parmenent job. in this regard we should salute Amodu. Forget he's broke or whatever u cud b thinking.

Secondly, is it a natural progression that and a norm that the HEAD of a country or club technical commitee should step in as the head coach when d main coach is fired or leaves his post? I could be wrong aniway but I still remember that in a big club like Chelsea some years, Avram grant stepped in as the coach when Ancelotti was sacked before a parmement manager was appointed.

I trust Amodu to complete the task before him and trust him, he will gladly walk away from the post witout holding grudges. We as NIGERIANS most especially media men need now is to support Amodu

STRONG REASONS WHY NEW NFF PREsIDENT, AMAJU PINNICK MAY SACK STEPHEN KESHI!!

It is no more news that the newly elected NFF board led by Amaju Pinnick first assignment is to sort out Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi's future if he's to remain as the coach or not. If he's to remain, the new NFF will decide the contract details which includes the length of the new contract and d total package. With Amanju Pinnick in charge, I have a strong feeling he's not a Keshi fan despite the 2 of them being proud sons of Delta state and he could terminate Keshi's contract. I could be wrong anyway, but let's check out some of his comments on the big boss during the last WC in Brazil and let's draw out our conclusion on what to expect from Mr Pinnick "except" some powers that be wades in on the issue!

“I like Keshi as a person but the Eagles run up to the World cup and their first game has proven to me that Keshi has reached his limit” Pinnick said as a TV guest in a morning show,a day after Nigeria's 0-0 draw against Iran.

“He is a national hero,I celebrate him for all he has achieved with the team in such a short time but it appears he can’t move the Eagles forward unless he improves on his abilities”

Further proof that Pinnick may not reckon with Keshi continuing coaching the Super Eagles are the comments he made after the World Cup.

"We failed to go further in Brazil because our coaches did not adopt the scientific approach to winning matches. Football has gone beyond having a coaching crew on the bench. The trend now is to have the technical backroom staff, peopled by expert coaches, who win matches from the bench," Pinnick told Vanguard Sports.

"I give you an example. Berti Vogts was the head of the backroom of the USA team at the World Cup. The story was said in Brazil that during the match against Ghana, that when the Ghanaians equalised, that Klinsmann, who is the coach of the USA team, quickly sent a message to Vogts to analyse the last five minutes of the match. Vogts responded that one of the Ghanaian defenders was limping and that they should exploit his side, which the USA team did and scored the winner. Klinsmann did this because he recognises that he does not see the things that other technical experts could see from afar. And that is largely because a coach is only thinking of winning and what his players are doing. He hardly sees the defects and strong-points of his opponents.

"That is why nearly all the teams at the World Cup have the technical backroom staff. But Nigeria did not have that and that was because Keshi did not want it. He thought that they were going to take his job away and we all saw in Brazil that it could have been very different if we had such technical experts in the backroom, advising Keshi during match days or even before.

"Another example is the injury of Ogenyi Onazi. That was not accidental. It was a deliberate plan by the French backroom staff, who saw Onazi as the only threat to their ambition to reach the next round. Ahmed Musa shone like a star in the first half but was taken out in the second half by the French players, who crowded him and made him ineffective. That is the work of the backroom staff . Football has gone scientific but we went to Brazil with analogue system.

"I also observed during the short stay in Brazil that we were the only team, whose players warmed up before the start of matches without the coaches around to watch and take notes. I may be wrong on this but I saw the French team warm up with their coaches watching and guiding them."

Are these comments enough to believe Stephen Keshi days as Eagles coach are numbered? Don't forget a german coach last week claimed he was contacted to takeover the S.Eagles job. #FINGERSCROSSED

hi skydancer! pls how do i remove a password frm my laptop? i gave 2 a friend to use and he used another password as the security and he couldnt remember the passwod again. i tried formatting the system but the password use to come immediately i switch the laptop on. it is really distubing and the laptop is useless now.
