Webmasters / Re: Domain Name Business; The Easiest & The Most Profitable Online Venture by kentochdis(m): 7:45pm On Nov 28, 2015
jammeyboy:
pls has anyone ever sold a domain on GoDaddy. How long does it take before the money reflects in ur GoDaddy account

@jammeyboy, I hope u do read instructions when filling forms online?

1. I asked this question because you must have notice when you setup your payment type on Godaddy that your threshold for payout is $1,000. I am sure u must have seen it bacause there is no way of listing your domain for sell on their website if you have not specified how you will receive payment when it is sold. Not to worry though if your sales is not upto $1,000 because they normally round up their account before the year closes, and payout every account whether it has reached the threshold or not. So you'll get your money before the year ends.

2. I hope you also know that on Godaddy you are charged 20% sales commission or $15 minimum whichever is bigger. So if you made a sale of $20, 20% of that is $4 which is not upto the $15 minimum, so what will be paid to you is $5 because $15 will be collected as sales commission. Please refer to the sales commissions page to verify this fact.

I know this because I sold a domain giglight.com for $200 & what I am expecting before the year ends is that. Knowing this information an end user wanted to place a bid of $50 for one of my domain on Godaddy, I told him he had to up it to $70 if he is to buy it on Godaddy or pay the $50 direct to my UK PayPal account because of commission. Guess what, he paid direct to my PayPal account.

Word of advise to you:

I am assuming you rush read or don't read at all. No offense intended. But I see a lot questions you ask & see that they have already been answered here or are available on the sites you listed or like our brother said ask Google. Remember I corrected you the other time you were soliciting clicks on your parked domains. How you've suddenly gone & registered 12 domain is a shocker to me as I see how you analyze domains & sometimes laugh. In conclusion my brother, take time out to read and learn, there is no competition as to how many domains you've registered or sold, or how much you've invested or made. At the end of the day, you stand alone. If you don't do the right things first, even your 20k will go to waste and I pray it wouldn't.

Cheers

katrack.com
awmnyc.com
placeofstones.com
fumcop.com
poeforum.com
korytar.com

These are my domains can u guys help me to activate the parking with bodis.
Just go to the sites and click on any link.
Please

It is quite unfortunate, it's either you do not follow instructions or you do not take time to read carefully.

You can not solicit for clicks on a parked domain, I believe the OPs eBook you said you bought should contain that instruction. It is also clearly stated on the parking site website T&C. You think they don't have a software that tells them the tracking history of a website and the pattern of clicks? What happens when nairalands storm your website and click on the ads? You get the money you expected but then the parking site bans you & you come here again crying fowl & saying they're a scam that they cheated you of your money because when it was time to pay they didn't pay you your "hard earned" money.

If you want to play safe don't park it yet, put a good content simple website on it, promote it & then sell it.

Cheers

It seems GTBank that now require OTP before you can proceed. With that, you need a token and I will advise you to go and get one.

For the GTBank MasterCard (debit card), I got the Token more than 3 or 4 years ago. I pay for Hosting and other stuff with it and have never been asked to use my token with it, but, when am doing bank transfers I use it (the token), in this case, the transfer is from the bank website. When am using my MasterCard for online payment, it's the card numbers I enter on the sellers site (not GTBank site). Cheers

Hi everyone, I have been following the Do It Yourself Importation Guide Free and other related post on this forum for a while now and I have noticed that one recent (3 to 4 months now) problem that keeps coming up is that of "which Nigerian Bank Card is one supposed to use for payment on Aliexpress?"

I used my UBA Africard to make purchases from 4 different stores on Aliexpress in May 2013 and they were all successful. Two weeks after that, I noticed that some members of this forum were complaining that their UBA Africard was no longer accepted on the site, some people suggested GTB MasterCard, another set of people complained saying that their GTB MasterCard were also rejected. Later, somebody informed forum members that Aliexpress now only accepts Credit Cards No more Debit Cards (I went to Aliexpress to confirm this information and it was true). I went to our Bank websites and discover that UBA Africard, UBA MasterCard, GTB MasterCard, GTB VisaCard and All others bank cards I checked were all Debit Cards. I was disappointed because I thought I could no longer continue with the mini importation business.

Later in June I purchased ladies hand bag and other stuff with my UBA Africard on aliexprss and the payment was successful. Last Week I bought a Tab and other stuff with the same card and payment was still successful. Remember, all this time people kept saying Aliexpress does not accept UBA AfriCard, GTB MasterCard or other Nigerian Cards (Debit Cards).

Now, I have seen a lot of people on nairaland that have also been using their cards whether UBA, GTB or others Nigerian cards on aliexpress. The solution is not really jumping from one bank card to another bank, but rather to find out what makes some cards accepted and others not accepted. I really wish I knew the answer, I just know that my UBA Africard is personalized. So if anyone in these banks can help us out, it will help our brothers who have already acquired 2 cards and non worked for them on aliexpress. Cheers

You can find some of the stuff i've been importing for sales at http://www.hostketcom.com/ketcomshop.html

temigreat: ARE U STRUGGLING TO CREATE A GOOGLE ADSENSE ACCOUNT FOR YOUR WEBSITES,BLOGS.I WILL CREATE 1 FOR YOU IN 1 DAY CONACT ME ON 07034973493 OR temiwonder@gmail.com

Pls educate us, has Google changed their Adsense signup procedure? Are you trying to sell an already setup account or is it a new one? Do you work with Google now to guaranty that every site or blog submitted will be approved? Wow! 1 day!! I'm trying not to ask too many question but the questions just keep coming. And you said it is 3k. Hmmm... the way we chase this money these days is really mind blowing. Good luck if you're able to "catch them", but I really really pray nobody falls for this.

My advise to anyone already thinking about taking up this offer is that they should just take a little time out and visit Google website and read about Google Adsense. It is free to signup. Just do the right things and you'll get accepted. Even when they don't accept you at first, they'll tell you the reasons, once you edit your site or blog based on what they gave as reasons for rejecting you in the first place and reapply, you'll be accepted.

Webmasters / Re: Adsense Check Taking Too Long by kentochdis(m): 10:17pm On Jun 22, 2013
gozika55l:

On my adsense account the Secured Express Delivery is not shown when you goto payment setting, Does it it has a particular earning threshhold before it can be enabled.

If you just signup with Google Adsense, you'll need to get to $10 threshold first time, they'll then send you a verification pin with which you complete your address verification. After that, the next threshold you'll be aiming at is the $100 mark, that's what qualifies you for payout i.e. them mailing you your cheque. The next time, you won't be sent a verification pin on reaching the $10 mark because your address has already been verified. Remember, if it takes you 6 months to get to the $100 threshold, that's when you should be expecting your cheque.
Webmasters / Re: Adsense Check Taking Too Long by kentochdis(m): 10:11pm On Jun 21, 2013
simple, you can choose express delivery, which they say takes about a week, but bear in mind that the cost of the express delivery is on you.

To do that:

Logon to your Google adsense account,
Click on Account setting,
Goto Payment setting,
Look for Payment Method (You will probably be on Check - Standard Delivery),
Click on Edit Payment Method,
Choose Check - Secured Express Delivery (Remember it attracts a €17.00 Processing Fee), They say it'll take about a week to delivery. I've not tried it before because of the €17.00 processing fee, I prefer waiting for now.

I hope this is helpful?

Business / Re: For Uba Afri Card Users Only by kentochdis(m): 7:46pm On Jun 17, 2013
Point 1 - I have a personalized UBA Africard (My Name is inscribed in it)
Point 2 - After all the verification and changing of pin and password I was able to use the card for ATM withdrawals from UBA ATM and other banks ATM. I have been using it successfully to make purchases on Aliexpress.
Point 3 - You are charged N100 each time deposit is made into your account.
Point 4 - I made 4 different purchases at different time last month from aliexpress and from my calculations, they were making a one made a deduction each time I made a transaction which amounted to N162.43 conversion rate (please note that it included their charges).
Point 5 - From the time i have owned the Africard, I have not received or seen any extra charges.

For services,
I think, their staff are not too familiar with the card, but they made a lot of provision in terms of write ups to guild and help you with activating and using the card. The problem I think is that most of us don't take time to go through their instruction one step at a time. Cheers.

I see ads promoting 3k or 5k website with free domain name and free hosting. My first thots is how is this possible, then it moves to everyone will know it's a scam and finally it goes to,there must be a catch somewhere. But if someone took ads like that seriously and paid money for it. Well you get what you paid for, no need complaining. If it is not an N.G.O. trying to get businesses online by offering cheap services through partnership just the way Google did sometime back, then run for ur life.

Thanks man for the testimony, I've got more stories to tell clients seeking cheaper services.

Don't take it too bad. Cheer up.

juliebrown:
Tnx u really read tru my mind I was actually considering btw dat amount btw 2500 n 3000 litres. I would appreciate if u put me tru how u get ur product at cheaper rate since u have once done d biz

Tanks for Kero business is normally constructed as 2,500 or 5,000 litres. It will normal take a bit more than that, but the extra space is to take the fusi and the part below the tank tap (noosle). If you have space and money, you should go for the 5,000 litres standing tank, because it reduces the amount of reserve left below the tank tap. As for were you can get it cheaper, if you are in Lagos, they have various branches of their Union scattered here and there, their union is called sutaked They have union members who are into supplying of kero. It is rear to hear that a union supplier absconded with your money. so if you can find suppliers that are union members that'll be great. You can get this from other kero sellers in an area close to yours because they normally cover a wide range of area depending on the number of trucks they have. If your are based in Lagos, then you can imagine when I say a supply can cover AJ, Apapa, Festac, satellite, Ojo, Badagry and more areas as far as he has the product. Before going for any supplier, try and find out what his delivery time is like. 1 to 4 days is ok, but when it comes to 2 to 3 weeks, then you'll he uses customers money to trade. If you find a good supply that you have maintained a long term relationship with, it'll be the other way. He'll be supplying you on credit bases if you can be paying some % of the supply.

A word of advice, please don't pay money to anyone just because they post here that they are suppliers. You should physically verify anybody that claims to be a supplier. The profit of this business is kobo kobo, but when multiplied with 2500 makes the other guy smile to the bank while you are left to work for him. Imagine when the normal supply price is say N100 and a sharp guy supplies to you at N110, that is a whooping N25,000 off of you. You will also find it hard to sell off like others in you area because you might be selling at the cost price or there about.

If it is the metallic type used for kerosene business, then you be talking about a figure above what have already been stated. I have done the business and I knew for a fact that a new Tesco drum (metallic) and other drums used for petroleum products are 250 litres, after much usage and banging around, the volume it takes reduces to like 246 to 249litres. There are other type of drums that were used to convey say chemicals or other products to Naija, those ones are smaller and range from 240 to 248.

Remember, if you buy 2,500 litres of kero into your drum, it's supposed to give you 10 drums complete plus small "fusi". If it is short, it means something is fisher on the suppliers side.

Cheers & Goodluck

emailguru: Unfortunately I don't use 2go. Don't have time for it, due to my tight schedule. If you are truly desirous of turning your life around for good, then, you must be willing to pay the price. Price comes in different forms, the only reason why some people are more successful than others is because, they took the bold step and paid the price. Are you willing to be success in life? then, you must consider paying the price to achieve your dreams.

I think the question they asked has to do with them not having a website to promote the amazon affiliate and Google Adsense. I was thinking you let them the the cost of registering a domain name, designing their site and hosting it. Definitely, this is necessary for them to do and it requires money. I you should let this out now so that they are aware of it. Taking them through the process of registering for you tutorials and finally telling them they'll pay something as Tek%kyboy is already suspecting, is like taking everyone through a road we're use to on Nairaland.

Cheers and keep up the good work.
