I see most people who comments on nairaland as the youths of this country and a times i see how much the church in Nigeria has become the greatest scam of this country. A drive from Abu Dhabi to Dubai comes to mind when i think about the Nigerian church.. when you drive the length of the road which is 6 lanes on both sides of the road.. you would see that you don't need prayer to make the journey... the way the church teaches us to pray when you travel btw Lagos and Ibadan express way.
i feel just like the government of Nigeria the Nigerian church does not want Nigeria to make progress... because if they do.. they would be out of business. we would not need prayer and fasting for all the basic things of life. My question to those who feel the pastors are ok with jets and all the wealth is this... if those pastors were told to give up all the wealth today.. would they do it.. i can guaranty you that they would not.. if they would not.. it tells you who the pastors are really serving.

hello, As i keep reading this thread, the more i see that we are not getting the point. There is nothing wrong if they deciding  to buy the 10th Jet, but what we are looking at is that, in the mist of the Poverty is nigeria and africa, we should sow seed that will bless generations unborn. Its like comparing nigeria and america. Whats nigerias per capita compared to america, whats the budget of america compaired to nigeria. Also, when america was our age, were they wasting money on jets, or they were building sturctures and infractures that they now enjoy. So a pastor in Nigeria should not be compared to that in America because as a nation we are not in the same phase of development, so the way they spend money should be different. I am saying this because i see the church as a key player in the development of any nation. Let me ask you. do u think, its ok for our senate president to have a salary that more than the president of the united states. Its just a sign that alot of us here do see that, we are eating our future today as a nation, and thats why development is so slow here.

hello, i know we should be angry as it seams. But i think its time that we begin to think deep on this issues and make sure we don't say the wrong things. In the early 19th century when missionaries were coming to africa. They built free schools, free hospitals and all. And missionary work was more of sacrifice than a show business. My own concern is, why is there no true sense of humanitarian services this days. Can you imagine what 4.6b can do to a states health care system. In 1989, Dr Ben Cason, separated the twins joined at the Head. This was because, their health care system provided the enabling environment and facility to make this happen. If we say the Nigerian government does not care, what of the church. Is it that the church does not care also. This is my major concern. The money that churches spend in the name of the Gospel a times makes me wonder if its about the Gospel or there personal agenda. When Christian Ministries have air craft before. its the big once to carry food, relief and stuffs. Now the church buys JETs that can sit just 8. God Help us.

hello all, forex is real ooo, but its a very very tough game. it takes time and alot of perseverance to succeed in forex trading. i started my forex trading journey since 2003/2004 right in bodija ibadan, which i feel is where forex trading started in naija. the journey has been full of ups and down. i wanted to make money from the trading and not the training like alot were doing about 2yrs ago, and leading alot of nigerian to loosing their money.
