@ Violent: thanks a lot. How are you settling in over there? @ b.iriah: I think you should follow the useful tips shared by ell77. |
![]() |
@iz2much: thanks so much. God is our strength o. I am tracking it.I do that only in the mornings though. Like twice. If I don't see a change by 11am I move on till the following day. Yeah, I do view other updates on Nairaland but I felt compelled to be a part of this cuz of my travel-lol. |
![]() |
@ iz2much: no I wasn't but that's my prayer request @ b.iriah: these 2 accounts, who do they belong to? You? Your sponsors? |
![]() |
@ Mufasa: good to know your brother arrived safely. Thank God for his Mercies. I am still praying towards tomorrow for our visa to be ready |
![]() |
@ Mufasa: what a wonderful brother you are! Let's us know how it goes with your brother o. I wish him all the best and a big thank you for your support to him. That's awesome! I love your second package for his reapplication. I did a bit of extra jara in mine too plus a lot of skabashings! ![]() ![]() ![]() @ Shabbie: congratulations. |
![]() |
@flekan: you are welcome. All the best. |
![]() |
@ Jossy26: can't you ask them to courier it to you by paying for the service? |
![]() |
@ Flekan: I thought the school would give you an extension. Some school extended till the 20th of October for their students that have visa issues. Well, all the best to you. Pls read a lot of posts on the link I provided. There are lots of issues you might benefit from. |
![]() |
@ Mufasa: that's unfair. I think you should buy a return ticket if one way will be that expensive |
![]() |
@ Mufasa: oh I see. |
![]() |
@ Mufasa: congratulations! I think you can only withdraw 60K today and 60K the next day if you must use ATM. If not go and withdraw the money in the bank tomorrow, |
![]() |
@iz2much: It's ten working days but I am believing that by God's grace we will get our visa in just 5 days!I am not tracking so often either @flekan: why don't you reapply? Is your school given you an extension? I don't know much about review but you can read a lot of post made here https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-30156.2720.html from page 1 to 93. I am sure it will answer some of your queries try and email them and ask about your review customer.service@tribunals.gsi.gov.uk. |
![]() |
@iz2much: I am praying that it won't be up to 10 days. I am praying for 5 days still. Did you send the email? |
![]() |
@i-toro: I am sure the house will give you the right info on this but if you have a letter that stated the deadline for registration, you should be good to go. Also, try and check with the school by next week if they can back you up with any other doc you will present at the border |
![]() |
i-toro: congratulations! thanks for sharing this good news with us. How long did your reapplication take and did you get it this morning or Friday? |
![]() |
@ Ell77: all righty ![]() @Chigsmith: you are welcome. Pls read everything carefully and make sure you submit original copies of every documents you are using to apply. @ 1z2much: yes o. |
![]() |
@ iz2much: you are right. I am praying and fasting like never before. It's in God's hands. @ Chigsmith: try and go to UK website to read thoroughly on everything including what you are applying for. You can do so here http://www.ukvac-ng.com/. Also, you can pay at their Ikeja centre or VI centre if you are in Lagos. I am not sure if one centre is better than the other. You can pay for your visa application at any of their submission centres after which they will check your documents, take your biometrics and give you a slip that will contain your application ref. no @ Finebouy: thanks. I think you can email them here visa.lagos@fco.gov.uk with your application ref. no and explain the issue and include the email the school sent to extend your resumption time. You can also ask your school like iz2much said to get in touch with the embassy using the email provided. Let them blind copy you the email as well. Good luck. @Chrisbenogor: I am not sure I know how this works, but try and include a photocopy of your school ID, some prove that you have registered as a final year student and in the "additional Information" session on your visa form, try and explain that you tried getting a letter from the school but ASSU strike prevented you, good luck @ Ell77: that was some good advice! |

@ nrd_geek: thanks a lot. The fault of my first refusal was that of my school and mine as I should have gotten so familiar with the guidance before I applied. But cuz I have being to 5 countries including the US and I have used scanned copies of visa letters, I didn't know it's wrong with the point base application plus the letter I got lack some of the mandatory information required. I have done everything in my power to make it right and I believe God will take charge. Like I said before I am on a scholarship and out of the 8 fellows, I am the only one that is still awaiting her visa. The last lady from Ethiopia got hers yesterday. I am going to be in the UK for just 6 months as amended by the school/sponsor so I was advised by the school to apply as a "Student Visitor" this time. I have submitted all original documents with a letter that state the need to apply for just 6 months now. So, I am hoping for the best. Thanks so much. @ Kunle93: I sent an email on Wednesday but I didn't talk abt tier 4 application since I have switched to "Student Visa". I just made a few inquiries and used style to complain about how it took 10 days for them to get back to me after they refused my visa but no reply is sent yet. They don't usually respond on time that's it. I also intend sending them an email about my application on Thursday if my visa isn't in my hand by then, |
![]() |
@ £a$y : thanks a lot for your support. Yeah iz2much has reapplied too |
![]() |
@ Kunle93: yeah, I left at 9:30am got there abt 7:30am. I tried talking to the lady that checked my documents and she said I should email the embassy on the need for me to have their decision on time. I am trusting God that in 5 working days, our visas will be ready! |
![]() |
@ Kunle93: 10 workings days. You? I am counting just 5 working days by His grace. Why didn't you look out for me today? @ Lakexider: I think you can, why don't you try |
![]() |
@ Mufasa: I don't understand the BHC delaying system o and I really want you to follow up cuz when they refused my application, I got the decision 10 days after it was made! Imagine how they delayed me. God will help out on this and pls send an email to this email address if you can: visa.lagos@fco.gov.uk |
![]() |
@ Mufasa: I was able to apply today. The server is fine. If you can't track online may be you should go to their office to see if your visa is ready, it won't hurt. |
![]() |
@ Ea$y and iz2much: Thanks a lot. |
![]() |
@ Kunle93: look for a lady in dreadlocks. You must have seen me that day but I think there were 2 of us in dreads. iz2much had done his since Tuesday. |
![]() |
@ Ea$y: We could not apply yesterday cuz their server was down for a whole day! Guess you have seen that already! So, we will try to enjoy this hols and go and apply tomorrow. |
![]() |
@ Kunle93: that is good try I tell ya. I think you should also explain this detail in the column for more information on your personal detail form. If you printed it out online, try and write a different support statement and include it. At least, it's better to try, |
![]() |
@ Kunle93: we were in the same shoe. We must have seeing ourselves without known each other. Have you tried what the India lady said by sending an email to visa.lagos? Pls try and do that |
![]() |
iz2much: se after thanking God for yours, you could say sorry to me now |
![]() |
@ mufasa: it shall be well. Hey house, imagine I went for reapplication at Ikeja today and the server was down! They said it was so in all there centres and I have to wait till Friday! |
![]() |
@ Ea$y: No, I am not including the one that led to the refusal. Remember he refuse cuz I didn't submit the original if you can recall. So, I am taking the original visa letter they sent b4 I saw the result of my application which still carry the resumption date with another document they sent that now extended my registration and all. And that is the doc, I am asking if I can include the scan copy they sent. Thanks |
![]() |
@ Ea$y: thanks so much. You know I envisaged this before, I meant that the original visa letter that they sent after my initial application stated 21st Sep for the fellowship. They now sent me a scanned coloured letter to include with the original visa letter. It stated that my course date has being amended to Oct 1st due to difficulties in getting visa by me and my other fellows and that they have amended the date to coincide with 6 months so we can now apply for student visitor visa as we will proceed to Nairobi after six month for a job placement or internship. They said in the letter too that they are going to do my orientation when I get to London after securing a visa and that I can then continue with other fellows. So, I asked if the scanned support letter sent to take along with the original visa letter to reflect the change in date and visa type is okay to take with all the other original documents? |
