Omo Tier 1, thanks for your reply, one of the confusion is NQF level 7 or above. I guess above means master's then. Cheers! |

Dear all, this new Tier 4 rule from July 4 is confusing o. Pls what does this mean? If I am going for my Master's does it mean I can't go with my parner even if i am on a shcolarship? "From 4 July 2011, only new students sponsored by a higher education institution on a course at NQF level 7 or above lasting 12 months or more, and new Government sponsored students following a course that is longer than six months, will be able to bring their partners and / or children to the UK with them". ? |

Dear all, I have being in London for about 3 weeks now and I must say that missing 2 weeks of activities affected me to a large extent. I am still trying to fill in the remaining gaps as things keep moving on up. Hey Iz2much, are you in UK already? What happened with your visa? |

Travel / Re: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by Khadie(f): 7:06pm On Oct 15, 2009 |
alabi1: I am happy your school extended your resumption, hope there is a letter to back it up. You know that they have a new law now that the money must have being held in your account for 28 days before application? So, if that is done, then the letter of transfer, sponsor letter and all the necessary previous doucments you submitted with the first application will do. All the best bro. |

@ell77: thanks a lot. And about the "Inscan @ OC". Mine was like that all Tuesday and when I got to the collection centre it wasn't there. They asked me to be back the following day for it. I think iz2much needs to go to the centre and see if it's there. |

It was inscan at OC all through yesterday and when I got to Ikeja, it wasn't there. I should be on my way soon to pick up my visa cuz it's now ready. It's raining cat and dog at the moment and I feel like jumping into it! |

kunle93: Congratulations Kunle93! I was wondering why I never heard from you for a while. Mine says Inscan at OC at the moment. i am sure it will be ready soon. You got your in after 5 working days. I think it's true that the embassy recognizes some agents and work faster on their applications even though they don't admit it publicly. |

Cannabis: There have being other visa applicants on this forum faced with the same problem and the advice given to them if I remember correctly is for one to go to WAEC office at Ogba and get original certificate. I think you should do that now. |
Travel / Re: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by Khadie(f): 10:34am On Oct 12, 2009 |
@ Alabi1: I think you should get another bank statement that will show your current fund state. That should not take you more than a day or 2. Get bank statement that will cover you till September ending and with the fund having being there for up to 28 days. Then do you have to wait till the 16th of October b4 you reapply? Do so latest by the 14th and explain to them at the submission centre about the deadline, so they may give you 5 working days to process your visa. And if you are waiting till the 16th because of the original visa letter that will be sent to you. Explain in the "Additional Information" part that the school just sent original letter hence the delay in reapplying etc, Good luck |

Will UK Visa not cover Ireland? Is there a different embassy for Ireland or is it not with the British High Commission? |

@ Ell77: good luck with your business registration and everything in Nigeria. You need someone reliable to help you look for an office. I hope you will come to Nigeria to oversee things yourself. So, where is your website url? |

Travel / Re: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by Khadie(f): 5:05pm On Oct 10, 2009 |
@ Alabi1; please do not bother to appeal. Reapply now. I am in the same shoes with you, rejected on the 18/09/09 and I have to reapply. I am on scholarship/fellowship and still got my visa refused because the school did not send original letter. This happened to 5 out of 8 fellows from all over Africa. So, I know what I am talking about. If you read Tier 4 guidance, you will see that you don't have a case. Your case will be dismissed eventually after you might have wasted time! Reapply, you are on the wrong and while at it, submit original visa letter and extension date for your resumption if applicable. |

bricks: I think the best will be for your fiance to do hers first and invite you over as her dependant since they recognize unmarried or civil partner or if you guys want to get married before she leaves that may help your application in the long run. See, http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/infs/inf21pbsgeneralmigrant#13774537. I am sure the house will give you better advice on this. |

BABABABA: There is a place in the self assessment form under PBS that asked if your accommodation fee has being paid to your sponsor and if you say no, I want to think that the part where you will have to show that you have sufficient fund to cover outstanding expenses in the form will help as your account details will back up the fact that you do have the fund. House what do you think? |
