Travel / Re: Visit To The Osun Osogbo Sacred Grove In Osun State by KingBaba1(m): 3:12pm On Dec 23, 2020
Susan Wenger A.K.A (Adunni olorisha)
travelwaka:
It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is one of the two world Heritage sites in Nigeria.

This place was renovated and remodelled by an Austrian Artist called Susan Wender. She made most of the artworks here which some are as old as 60 years. She fell in love with this place after she visited the place with her husband as a tourist. When it was time for them to go back, she decided to stay, she embraced the Yoruba Traditional religion and ever since she became one of the forest custodians.

She lived all her life in Osogbo and she died in 2009 at the age of 93.

She started a movement to restore the dignity of the forest by preventing encroachment and poaching at this sacred grove.

Funsho Wiliiams, AK Dikibo, Marshall Harry, Bola Ige, Jerry Agbeyegbe, Chief Dele Arojo, Age Omolemomu, Barrister Morakinyo Ayopo, Tunde Aloba, Otunba Olumayowa Olukoya (former Ogun SSG) were all assassinated during PDP's years. Yet, not a single killer was found and prosecuted.

Funsho William's wife and family pointedly accused Bode George and Koro of involvement in Funsho Williams' death and the police investigated it. Yet, you want Tinubu accused and prosecuted. You are funny o.

Do you even know why Wole Soyinka referred to PDP as a nest of murderers?
i know why i said that, and it's because of the notion that had it been williams wasn't killed and got the ticket, he would have easily defeated the opposition and Tinubu dominance in lagos today wouldn't have been possible. However that's how things work in politics, hardly will somone be killed and the opposition wouldn't be accused of it,but thanks to God we are gradually graduating from politics of assassination. Meanwhile the only reason why i can support Tinubu political career or presidential ambition is because i see him as a buje budanu politician, and his chop make i chop attitude is what makes him to be relevant till now.. Had it been he were to be the president today, i believe he wouldn't mind to share money to all Nigerians through BVN as palliatives during this covid 19. He also carry the mid age youth along as well, which i think is ok

MrMcJay:

When Williams was killed, his wife Hilda pointedly accused PDP of killing her husband so he won't contest the primaries as winning the primaries was sure for him. She accused Obanikoro and Bode George of having a hand in his death.

Thereafter, she then contested and won the PDP Guber ticket for Lagos. Bode George and Obanikoro went to PDP Abuja and Ahmadu Ali as PDP National chairman upturned her victory and gave it to Obanikoro.

That was when what happened became clear to everyone and she decamped to ACN under Tinubu. She got a flat in Ikoyi from Tinubu as she had to leave their home in Dolphin estate in Ikoyi.
i understand u so well, but had it been Tinubu was duely accused and prosecuted for the murderer of Williams, it would have surely affected his political career. Iyiola omisore can't win any osun election today because he was the main suspect of late attorney general chief bola ige's murder. Ijesha people still hold that against him and that's why he has been loosing the ife/ijesha federal constituency votes even though a competent court of law has vindicated him on the said murdered case
Politics / Re: Atiku, Odili, Na’abba — The Political Careers Obasanjo Killed by KingBaba1(m): 8:16am On Aug 10, 2020
MrMcJay:
Obasanjo wanted to end Tinubu's political career also. The problem was that Tinubu had his people behind him 100%.

When Obasanjo was President and Tinubu was Gov of Lagos, Obasanjo wanted to hold a rally in Lagos and on the day of the rally, all the transport unions in Lagos went on strike. Obasanjo's rally was a terrible flop.

The second time Obasanjo wanted to hold a rally in Lagos, Obanikoro was the PDP guber candidate and Bode George was the PDP leader in Lagos. On the day of the rally, Tinubu fixed 4 mega rallies in the 4 political axes of Lagos (Ikorodu, Epe, Alimosho and Badagry). PDP didn't see crowd to hire and the rally was a disgrace. Obasanjo and Obanikoro were forced to go into Ketu market and Mile 12 market to campaign.

It was a very humiliating experience for Obasanjo as a sitting President. Obasanjo never forgave Bode George for the humiliation he suffered in Tinubu's hands.
i used to love the AD/ACN Tinubu then, but his smartness and every other thing ended the moment late funsho Williams was assassinated. That made me to stop praising his political prowess till date. In a sane clime Tinubu will probably be in jail now because of Williams death, but this is Nigeria and no one is talking about it and using it against him

It could happen.

Also, I think you should keep disturbing the family member that told you your step mum wasn’t your bio mum.
Those that knows about the step mum not being the real mum have answer to whom her biological mother is. It's either the bio mother isn't sane or there is more to it. I don't wanna believe she is dead, and i am not buying the baby factory thing, but maybe she was dumped somewhere and the parent took her up

Oba Okunade Sijuade was unable to follow the footsteps of his predecessor cry

Ife had the most unprecedented growth and development during his reign. Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife was his influence
ooni sijuade isn't the one to make ile ife grow. The man tried his best, just that his best wasn't enough. No man will hate his home town for no reason and wouldn't want growth to happen to the town. I wonder why people always castigate ooni okunade just because he was a king and he had his own enemies, even amongst his people. If the ooni okunade supports a particular political party, people will complain and abuse him, where as they sing the praises of ooni Aderemi who was a politician and a royal father. It is the right of the federal government and state government to develop every city and town in the country and not an obas duty. Oba is to settle dispute and be a figure head leader of a town or city. Don't forget the oba can be dethroned, and it wasn't queen Elizabeth that made uk what it is now, she may be the royal highness, but there are lots of people, plans and factors that made uk what is it today. America does not have an oba as the ceremonial head, but the people and the government are doing their best in providing for its citizens. Ooni sijuwade wasn't perfect, but he tried his best and couldn't have done it alone. The influence of oba Aderemi as the then western region governor can not be undermined as a huge factor that made that OAU possible to be situated at ile ife. Ooni sijuwade wanted to have the state capital of osun state situated in ile ife by his power and connections, so it can serve as his own major achievement during his reign, but it was the same people that frustrated his efforts on it that always say he doesn't do anything for ife. I believe oshogbo deserve the state capital than ife and i also believe the late ooni sijuwade tried his best, though he isn't perfect. There are so many rich ife indigenes, what have they done to ife? That's why i will always respect and of opinion that the maye of ife, Chief Raymond Adegoke Adedoyin(proprietor /CEO oduduwa University ile ife) as the only rich ile ife son. Even though there are some who are rich but couldn't establish their businesses in ife due to the environment. For example, someone who is into maritime or crude oil business can't establish his business in ife, more so logistics and cargo businesses too, so no matter how loving and loyal u are to your town or city, there are things u couldn't do for the town in terms of business. Ooni Aderemi tried, and i doubt if any king can surpass his achievement as an oba in thr ancient city of ile ife. Let's wait and see what will happen when ife descendant becomes the governor of the state in nearest future, let's hope the town will benefit from it immensely... Omisore and his ilks have failed ife when it comes to politics, they always fight for their pockets. N. B i was born and raised in ile ife too, and i love the town like kilode. I was a victim of the 1997 crises of the ife and modakeke, but we thank God for life

thinkmoney:

use these ideas to help in your prayers (be warned, it may appear a radical readjustment)
Before I commence though, you must know a basic truth, that it's not your actions that determine your answer, it's God's action.
the ideas:
1. Pray with respect to God as you would a very strong king.
2. Pray with faith to him as you would your earthly father. (think, if it were my Dad I need something like this from, would I shout at him? would I cry? on some occasions, maybe when you have persistently ask for your school fees and the situation is getting tough, u might cry.
3. Don't have bitterness in mind.
4. don't ask for selfish things especially things that don't honor God.
5. ask always with the awareness that God is nearer to you than even your ears.
6. it's OK, if your emotions, temperament and personality take the best of you. God understands. know though that you can't order God about.
7. ask always in the name of Jesus Christ, having in mind what the name means and what it stands for i.e all that Christ has done for us.
wow, Thanks for the advice, i love it

Religion / Aggressive, Violent, Cool, Calm, Which Is The Best Way To Pray As A Christian? by KingBaba1(m): 11:34am On May 16, 2020
The scripture says the fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much, and this will want me to know the best way to pray according to the Bible and Christian belief.

1. We all know we are different type of human being and our approach to things differ alot.
We have the cool and calm beings, and also the stubborn and aggressive ones.

I see how pastor Adeboye preaches the gospel and pray in a cool and calm way and there are signs, wonders and testimony to that effect...

I also know some agressive preachers and prayer warriors like pastor Paul Adefarasin, N. duncan Williams and TD jakes.

Now, here is why i am writing this write up.

1. I sometimes feel i am too cool and calm in my prayers hence the delay or no answer i have in my prayer requests to the most high.

2. I believe in strategic form of prayer and i also do fast and pray when seeking the face of the lord on something... I don't usually think i am too cool or calm in prayers not until i started waiting endlessly for results.
If i am in a religious gathering, it depends on the leader of the prayer points and the prayer point itself that will determine my ginger and how aggressive i can be, but i don't see it going too hot or too cool.

3.what could be the delay of prayer request of somones need I feel satisfied inside of me when i pray in my own way and style. I don't really have privacy at the moment, and i am someone who really doesn't like people hearing my prayer point if it isn't in a religious gathering and general prayer.

I was born into Christianity and i served the lord in a church unit, but I will like to ask maybe there are ways i need to start praying that i don't know or practice for effective answers from the lord.

N. B. I know jehova witnesses don't pray loud or aggressive prayer, and i also know some other religious organization that doesn't do aggressive praying too.

So which one is which and how do one pray effective prayer with fasting without being aggressive
Your views and opinion will really help, and i will be more than delighted if u can do that with scripture references.

Thanks

very acurate interpretation to the young man's dream.. We all have spiritual battles we face in life, and especially in the dream, and that's why it's more than a miracle when we sleep and wake up
