I find it befuddling, perplexing and mind boggling that a certified genius like our dear Seun Osewa is not accorded celebrity status in Nigeria? A clear case of a prophet being without honour even in his own country!


Now, why am I saying all this?

I have quietly observed over time that Seun’s views are not sought after when topical issues relating to Social media are discussed in major media forums. Can you ever imagine a forum discussion on constitutional law without inviting late Gani Fawehinmi or Femi Falana or Fred Agbaje?
A clear reference is the ‘celebrated’ murder of Cynthia Osokogu via use of social media. The murder was discussed on major media platforms – both electronic and print – for weeks, but nowhere was Seun Osewa’s views sought on such negative use of social media! And without a doubt, Seun Osewa is the king of social media in Nigeria, if not indeed, Africa.

I want to believe that Seun’s Nairaland is the most visited website in Nigeria. Aside that, it is also the most educative, entertaining, refreshing, insightful and informative. Therefore, Nairaland qualifies, unarguably, as Nigeria’s No 1 website; so, why then would the founder of such a ‘brainwave’ be ignored when issues relating to his ‘kingdom’ are discussed?
Instead of inviting Seun, characters like Linda Ikeji et al (whose blogs are at best only marginally successful) seem to be enjoying all the celebrity spotlight! This is most tragic!! Even worse, professional scam artists like Hafiz Lecky enjoyed some measure of celebrity spotlight!!!

Why should this be in Nigeria? Could this be a reflection of the anti-success syndrome in Nigeria or what? Or, could it remotely be that Seun Osewa is a social butterfly, a recluse of sorts or what?
This is something I honestly cannot fathom, explain or understand or is this a jinx?

What is happening? I used to think bank job is it!

when I say that 5 'sane' friends of mine recently turned down offers of employment from banks (Zenith, UBA, Access & the new JAIZ Bank),
instead preferring low-paying jobs elsewhere!!!

In the days of old, incest cases were very, very rare as to be negligible. And, if such did happen, it was treated as a case of abomination! In 2005 or 2006, there was a similar incident reported on the populat MITV Sunday 9.30pm programme called ''Labe Orun'' This one involved a Cele pastor who was not only sleeping with his 4 daughters (from the youngest that was 10 to the eldest that was 19 yrs old), but impregnated all of them serially and each had series of abortion for him! And all these evil went on continuously for 6 yrs, the father only letting go when the girls wedded. It was a most terrible, pathetic case!!

A common thread in  all of these 'father - daughter' incest is that they are all products of broken homes or single fathers.

However, a major point that we all seem to overlook is the fact is that these incidents (as unfortunate as it is) has inadvertenly exposed all ladies as being extremely morally and sexually very weak. It takes two tango hence we should condemn both parties - father and daughter, but, of a truth, it is the girl(s) that is/are most guilty. Why do I say this?

Now, if their daddy were to be beating them daily, punishing them or not giving them food and all that, I'm very sure they will know how to run away from the house and find a long lost relative to report theri dad to. But, because women are sexually weak (and sex is like food to them especially with elderly men), all these stupid girls (instead of running away after the first act) stayed and continued to allow their father sleep with them. When it now results into pregnancy (which they can't hide), they will now start singing to the world like a bird! Why couldn't they shout or scream abinitio, eh?

Please, I'm not defending the men (their fathers), but I'm only looking at this matter dispassionately and trying to juxtapose it by putting myself in their shoes. I've asked myself the question: Supposing I'm one of these girls, would I continue to stay in the house and allow my father sleep with me everyday? What is the right thing to do to stop it?

The answer and the best thing to do is to RUN!They should have run for their lives, but instead they will stay and enjoy the thing and then cry later!
