Why Strategy and not tactics? A tale from 2500 years ago.

Earlier this year, I received a surprising text from a colleague.

It says, “Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without Strategy is the noise before defeat.”

Oh, this is from 2020.

So, I asked, “Are you a student of strategy or tactics?”

ME: Are you sure?
HIM: No reply

***some minutes later, he was back.

Him: I choose Strategy.
Me: Why?

Strategy defines the long-term goal we are trying to achieve.

While tactics are the individual steps required to achieve the goal.

Whether prospects buy or not is more important to you than it is to them

You want to close a deal because you need money. But your prospect doesn’t care about your income.

They only care about their problems, needs, concerns etc.

If you put their interests before your own, they will want do to business with you.


Desperation

Desperation kicks in when business is slow or you are behind in meeting your sales quota, you need the business, and so you push harder to close every sale.

When you behave in this manner, you are putting your financial self-interest, the need to earn a commission or get an order, first.

Unfortunately, it’s not important to the prospect. They don’t care about your commission.

What the prospect wants is the right solution to his problem.

If they sense that you are too eager, and pushing too hard, they will be turned off, for the following reason.

Prospects feel good about salespeople who put the customer first.

They shy away from salespeople who seem more interested in closing the sale quickly than in solving the customer’s problem.

To make money online has become so easy, if you know the right strategy. If you read this to the end, you will know where and how to start making money.

Here is my advice on how you can go about it. This is not a professional advice and you can either take it or sieve it.

1. First you invest in yourself.
An investment you can ever make that guarantees 1000% returns is an investment in yourself. Why? The better you become, the more money you can make.
Other things can be stolen from you but an investment in yourself cannot be taken away.

2. Acquire a high income skill:
Law, Medicine are high income profession which is different from a High income job (like shell), then, there’s high income skill (like, programming, graphics design, copywriting) the first two (Profession & Job) requires longer time, training and resources. The last one can be learnt in months and the rewards are equal. Believe it or not, there are programmers (high income skill) who earn a lot more than lawyers (high income profession) learn a high income skill that can help you fetch more money. 3. Create daily streams of income.
Daily streams of income brings in cash on a daily basis. Even if it is 1k a day, it is better than nothing or waiting at the end of the month. The most common daily streams of income are selling digital products in the form of eBooks, courses and videos or training people online. I have 3 daily streams of income. I sell digital products, I do digital trainings and I set up upwork & PayPal accounts. Invest in creating a digital product or reselling one that works. For example, I paid N10,000 to learn how to approve upwork accounts and in 3 months I made more than N100,000 from that one stream alone. (The good news is, I could teach you for N5k if you interested)
