This is the most senseless post I have ever read on this blog.

When Ghana was trending last year and this year, it was for commendable and progressive reasons and not it's government killing it's citizens it suppose to protect.

Ghana trended for the
#YearOfReturn
#Management Of covid-19

And u are hear hailing atrocities as your glorified achievement.

You such a damn f00|

Massa, pls spear me your silly attempts at denying everything that paint Ghana and Ghanaian as copy cat and wishing to be Nigerians .

There is no point in surfing the internet to bring the tweet to prove my ascertion when you still wriggle out of it with puerile lies.

Nigerians with our ego don't compete with Ghanaians.your people are the with her constant validations to prove to the outside world they are better than Nigerians do so. Big brethen Ghana is testament to the length you go in order to compete with Nigerians .

Endsars started and gain massive support from the international communities, celebrities from all works of life tweeted in support including heads so many organization.your people as usual in their quest to compete and copy from Nigeria started theirs as well, but unfortunately for them they were too insignificant to be recognized.

Good to know your business wasn't of criminality. But let me ask this, were u paying levy and tax on your business?

Were u paying duties on goods your brought in through the borders?

Did you know of existing local laws which frowned on your activities on the local market?

Greenbirth:
Ok thank you for asking what hustle but I must say that a lot of nigerians are good people many don't know it. The hustle I did is this. I buy goods from Lagos and transport it to ghana and sell. Is that one criminal. ?
Politics / Re: Is Geoffrey Onyema Nigeria's Most Ineffective Foreign Minister? by ksat: 10:32pm On Aug 22, 2020
Ignorance!

Pull your head out of your arse and try to read more on what's happening before passing commentary.

No one is asking anybody to "pay 1 million dollars". The law say have an invested capital of 1million dollars and employ a stated quota of Ghanaian citizens to qualify you to trade in the retail space.

Hope u got knowledge imparted on you?

Rossinkky:

Donkey with internet access. The ''constitution of your host country'' is not sacrosanct. It can, and should be challenged if discriminatory or unjust, such as in this case, demanding a Nigerian trader must pay 1 million dollars to work in Ghana. Never heard a whimper from Onyema over that outrageous provision.
Politics / Re: Nigerian Retailers' Shops In Ghana Locked Up As Police, Army, Flog Them by ksat: 1:19pm On Aug 14, 2020
Its either the reporter is ignorant of the situation or he is being biased. and that is not good reportage.
I watched this on news yesterday and the police were not using brute force at all, in fact the joint task force were polite, up until the occupants of the store became agitated and aggressive and the police needed to step in to enforce the law.

For those who care to know the genuine story its simple...

you remember Buhari unilaterally closed the Nigerian border without recourse to whatever protocols many of you are quoting here? only simply because he suspected the influx of agricultural produce (especially rice) which his government has said was crippling the Nigerian market and driving local growers out of business thus, rendering local farmers poor.

its same analogy here. Just consider the population of Nigeria (over 206millio) whiles Ghana's population is a meager 31million (15% of Nigeria). Lagos population is almost same as the whole Ghana. The just ended voter registration exercise in Ghana registered only app.17 million person, these are people 18 yrs and above. so if we just open up the our market without regulations, and even just 2 million Nigerians start to trade in the informal sector (knowing that the informal sector employs most Ghanaian), do you GENUINELY believe Ghanaians will survive?

Our laws are not restricting Nigerians, you can see from the videos that some Nigerian shops were opened right where the scuffling was happening. Thats because he has followed the laws of the land and he is peacefully working.

and that notion of Nigerians in Ghana being abused/harassed must be stopped. Has anyone harassed Access Bank, UBA Bank, Petra Insurance, Zenith Bank, Dangote cement (the list of Nigerian businesses in Ghana is endless). So quit tripping guys

legitnow:
Tear gas, pepper spray, flogging, kicking, punching pushing and general beating of Nigeria traders, even Pregnant Nigeria woman.

It is time Nigeria Government call to Ecowas attention the violation of Nigeria rights by Ghana authority.

Ghana cannot be trading freely and living in Ecowas couuntries, whilst everyday in Ghana our citizens are humiliated and molested.

Else we return all Ghanaians to live and do business in Ghana and put an end to all this nonsense.

Nigeria government must be seen to act and do so with other Ecowas member state.

The ghanians are wrong and should be called to order now.

Well, you definitely look Nigerian from a Ghanaian perspective.

Had you said you Ghanaian then you will definitely be from the North as someone mentioned Dagomba (which is quite close in resemblance of you looks)
I do not see the Cameroonian in you in a shape or form.

Good day everyone. I've been in Ghana since the 27th of February and am currently residing in Kumasi. Regardless of my attire, I have noticed that most people think that I am Nigerian or even rarely from Cameroon. for the very few who do think I am a Ghanaian they think I'm from the Dagomba tribe.

Although obviously we in the diaspora have Nigerian ancestry, as some may know I am a haitian-american. That being said I would like to know directly from Nigerians what ethnic group or region some might presume about me.

Thank you for your time.

Politics / Re: Ghana Becomes Nigeria’s Biggest Trade Partner After Border Closure by ksat: 7:11pm On Dec 13, 2019
FemiMaduka:
I see a lot of people do not understand this piece of information. The gist is that Ghana, in the last three months, has become the biggest IMPORTER of Nigerian products. The value of the goods it bought FROM Nigeria was quoted as roughly $2.4bn.

If this is true, it only shows that Ghana depends far much more on Nigeria than Nigeria depends on it. The interesting aspect of this news is that it is reported that more than 97% of the goods that Ghana bought from Nigeria were non-petroleum articles. This is also a positive for Nigeria.

The relationship between any two African countries should be that of mutual respect, two-way productivity and shared brotherhood.

Now, we need to invest heavily in power, metallurgy, electronics and functional education/research. It is about time we made our companies competitive enough to break the South African hegemony in choice sectors.

Your assertion is wrong. The consumer is never the dependant. Implying from your remark it means USA depends more on China than China does of the USA. Which is absolutely false from basic economics.

See it this way, had Ghana taken their 17% purchases elsewhere what would have become of the Nigerian government fiscal policy for next year. It cannot fund 17% of federal project. So understand basic economics and don't twist things.

I hope Nigerians will now see the importance of the Ghanaian economy to them. This piece of data should serve valuable lessons to most who come to rant their ignorance on this platform.

No one country is an island. we depend on each other for sustainable growth. if the Ghanaian economy grows and does well, its good for the entire west African states, because if a Nigerian company has the option to send its produce to nearby Ghana and USA, it will be a cheaper and wiser business decision to go to Ghana.

So henceforth, lets be circumspect and respectful of each other. If Ghana alone is consuming 17% of your entire export value, it should tell you something about the strength of the Ghanaian economy.

My only question is does Ghana have the right to extradite another country's citizen to another country to face a criminal offense or any other vices?

Your actual question should be "whats the bilateral agreement between Nigeria and the US on matters of extradition of criminal US elements even in Nigeria". And i bet you you will surprise to know even a Nigerian citizen who has committed crime in the USA and escaped to Nigeria will be arrested by your own government and shipped out to the USA for trial.

The type of leaders the people get is the type of leaders they deserve. The leaders whom we so much lament over are a reflection of ourselves. They emanate from amongst us.The system we cry fowl about is a synergistic and a carefully oiled association between the leaders and the follwers. We get what we deserve. If we the followers who are certainly leaders in different capcities don't first get hit by the hurricane of mental revolution, then ultimately we would at best be able to present nothing short of shambolic leaders to represent us.I can go on and on about how a mental revolution can cause a ripple effect in the quality of leaders we produce but I think this is enough for us to ponder over.

I'm a Ghanaian and I strongly align with this statement. I am always surprised to see Nigerians and Ghanaians banter over which country is better. I laugh over it because trust you me, both countries are centuries behind civilization. I pray amongst us the citizenry, we develop the habit of self discipline. This is because ultimatelly, we become the same persons in leadership positions. Besides, being in leadership position does not make you a leader.

God bless you for your comment. Hope we all can learn from it.

You are most welcome bro. though i don't know the agreement btw you and your friend helping you to sell the clothes but lemme inform you that there is a market in Accra called katamanto where Bales of second hand clothes, shoes, etc are sold just like in kotangora(super), Yaba and Badagry markets in Lagos and the Nigerians that i know dealing in okrika source theirs from Lome market in Togo. so i doubt if you will be making good profit sourcing yours from Naija cos the cost of transportation, settlement of CEPS, etc will consume the little profit and remember the cost of living in Gh is very high compare to any state in Naija so your friend will be forced to also reduce remittance to you.

If you are very experienced in the okrika business, this is my advice to you:
Try source your goods from Lome market, deal in Female wears(Tops, dinner gowns, straight dresses) start by selecting good and A graded clothes from open bales. when you get to Ghana don't look for shop, stall or market to sell your goods. there are Lots of Tertiary institutions in Accra and Central region(make those your starting points) we have University of Ghana, legon, University of Professional Studies(UPS), Zenith University, Accra Technical University, Central University, Ghana telecoms University, Kaaf university, University of Education, winneba, University of cape coast, Cape coast Technical university, etc. all you need to do is go to their female hostels in the morning during weekends and from 4pm - 7pm during weekdays to market your goods.
if you are an hustler who is not forming big boy, my guy you go sell wella so far the dresses are nice and good grade. this is what i did few years back with my then GF now my wife before i got employed. we started with new female panties then okrika clothes at the request of the students we started this panties business with Ghc150 in 2010, got the capital to sell clothes from the panties and in less than 2months we started buying bales from that katamanto market. my wife was a teacher then, i go round campuses during weekdays alone and we both go during weekends. my wife bought her 1st car from this business, changed the car after 2yrs all cash from this same business. i had to stop the business cos of my job and wifey did this biz as side running till she and my kids relocated.
if you are diligent, honest and refined(don't start dating your customers), you will make it in this biz. the only downside right now is the problems our people are causing here in Ghana(Yahoo, robbery, kidnapping, car hijacking, etc). so i will advice you try as much as possible to document your stay cos there is a massive clampdown on undocumented Nigerians in Ghana right now and some Ghanaians are begin to really despise Nigerians especially naija guys cos of the naija kidnap syndicate that are still holding on to the 3 girls from Takoradi.
IT IS WELL

Continue to thrive in Wisdom in Jesus name. I'm a Ghana living in Ghana and I believe I can benefit from your wise counsel. Pls share your email let me contact you.

Bless

I don't understand why Nigerian ladies complain of their men, it's beyond me. Hands down, Nigerian men are the best in Africa. Their mother, sister, wife/girlfriend(s), daughter & even mother in law they treat with maximum respect.

Nigerian ladies, respect your man

Before I started moving with Nigerians, I used to think all men are the same, but as I made friends with Nigerians, I noticed all men aren't. It was very obvious in fact. The may Nigerian men talk and act to ladies is absolutely remarkable.

At first I thought they behave that way just to woo ladies. Turns out I was wrong again. Over the years, I've come to notice how 9ja men treat ladies in their life(Mother, Sister, Wife/Girlfriend, daughter) with absolute respect I began to envy. Maybe all what I see on their movies are true after all. I can't watch from outside no more, so I started a relationship with a Nigerian, how different things became, it was like magic, saint like behavior. I couldn't believe my eyes, I was alert cos he may be working an angle. He could be playing games, but again I was wrong. After listening to conversations and gossips, I noticed that for them, it's a shame for a man to mistreat his lady. A 9ja man will say " give my woman the same respect you give me" honestly he doesn't get better

A typical 9ja man makes his lady presentable because he believes that how his peer will respect him as a man. Romantic stuff!!, he'll take care of his house and even if there's problem inside, outsiders will never notice. To a typical 9ja man it's a shame to hit a lady, he'll just walk away or ignore you, I know cos I'm rude and have a quick mouth. Things you'll get a typical Burko beating for saying to a Ghana boy, a 9ja man will just walk away. His friends can not tell you nonsense as well cos they respect you the same way they respect their friend. It's also difficult not to get carried away with "our wife" or "first lady" title you are automatically given to you by his friends. I had a friend that worked at a pub, she stared dating a Nigeria, one day she rushed to me and said, "it's this what you've been enjoying?" With happiness as her foundation. She has been a victim of household boxing in the past from your regularly Nii, Adjei and Kojo. She made a statement,"Even if they cheat, they do it with respect", I burst into laughter, she said she caught him texting another girl, he apologized and bought her a gift. Enjoyment paaa. Nii will beat you for searching tru his phone. I remember I final statement that day, " I can't date Ghana boys again, my level has changed ", I also remember one time when I went out with a Ghanaian, he's phone kept ringing, he gave me his phone and said "ebe my wife dey disturb me like this, tell her say she dey disturb ". I picked up my phone and made sure I used my braids to flog him while walking away in disgust. I felt bad for his wife cos initially I didn't know.

Just imagine such disrespect

Gradually most of my friends now date Nigerians, and their testimony remains the same. My mum personally loves Nigerians she name me after one of her tenants when I was born. Currently she has 3 Nigerian tenants and I do talk with them a lot and I watch them closely. Closely enough to see the difference. My old her dresser came from South Africa and told me her own version of the same story. "9ja men in SA work hard for their family" they are always hustling. But kojo will walk round Accra with his friends and expect his gf to feed him.

Hard Work and respect, we like

So 9ja ladies, if you like don't take them serious. I know one thing for sure, if you let your men cross the border, they may never come back cos they'll be treated like kings elsewhere. I'm yet to see a Nigerian girl and a Ghana guy relationship, even if there is, it's rare, because the girls can't go lower than the standard they are used to. But the 9ja boys always go for the Gh ladies cos we treat them like kings.

Please if you name is Nii or Kojo, mepaakyɛw don't be angry ok. I'm just playing. Respect to the few real Ghana kings your thread coming soon

Finally,I'm grown-up enough to know my bride price hasn't been paid. On that note, I'll enjoy it while it last
