Are you resuming Aug 25th or Sept 1st cos this one that you said monday and i hope they wont call you back after next week monday and said classes have already started on monday August 25th and no time to register.. I pray that wont be your portion.

I didnt remember the sevis issue cos i would have ask you to email sevp and transfer it from the old sevis Id to the new sevis Id..

As for the bank statment i dont think that is the primary issue cos you explained to her and might have noticed you came with your dad statment before then now your uncle statment.

I don't understand which transfer you're talking about. Transfer SEVIS payment to your new SEVIS number or transfer schools?

stevecrun: You very right..nobody can predict these consulars.
It seems the new thing now in the embassy is administrative processing..two guys I know were placed on administrative processing on Monday,one certificate and the other bank statement.

Its weird for the school to have changed your SEVIS number simply because you didn't enroll. I suggest you contact the school and not mince words with them. Tell them what the change has caused you at the embassy and hopefully they will find you solution to it. Since you said school is resuming on monday, and I'm pretty sure the VO can see that on your I-20, just pray they call you back before that or otherwise you might need to get an extension letter or defer your admission when your visa is issued.

Fingers crossed, you'll get your visa cos your interview was superb.

From your transcript, I'm guessing the VO wanted to approve your visa but because your SEVIS isn't reflecting on their system she's holding off. She could have denied you out-rightly if your interview did not impress her, SEVIS paid or not. If I were you, I will pray really hard and check my email often. Be prepared to receive a callback from them very soon and hopeful it will be to bring your passport for visa issuance.

Okay. She hung on to your statement of account right? You should have no fear about that if the account is genuine. She probably wants to verify its authenticity probably because you have changed sponsors. Just pray hard and your visa will be issued. AP is just a means of verifying information.

now please remember i told you i changed sponsor .it was my dad initially ? but right now he is not capable cos he has some set back since februry and he is still on it . thats the only thing i changed from my ds 160 and except from the fact that i already re-signed from my work and am unemplyed now but i have offer letter from a new oil and gas company as a senior accountant upon completion of my course.

i wasnt expecting the question but i noticed the V.O saw that i changed sponsor.(but family funds is on my i20)

now .please what is my offense. have i raised red flag changing sponsor ? its still within the family fund context tho . i just didnt want to risk going with a low statement or fake account was why i had to change sponsor. .
cos my uncle account was 7 m . original from bank .

now . my school resumes august 25 .
can i re apply ? please gurus help me .
i already paid visa fee . and saw next date to me august 16 .
but i so do not wish to go to that lagos again,
am thinking of going to abj but next date is september 25. can i take abuja and ask for emergency appointment. ?

Idazbawz: firstly, inform your school about the change of SEVIS no, it might be an error... the SEVIS no is not suppose to change... if ur schools tells u to move on, send an email to SEVIS notifying dem of transfer of payment from one SEVIS no to another... be sure to include the two SEVIS no.


About TOEFL, of cos u can use your print out... be sure to remember your login details...

I have read your profile and previous transcript. You didn't do badly. The problem must be from the fact that you were nervous and responded with crammed responses like a robot. Just fill your DS form with your uncle's information. By the way, does your uncle bear the same last name as your dad? Again, do not mention your dad's financial stress as a reason why your uncle is sponsoring. You need to show stronger ties with your uncle. Present him as someone who has been responsible for your education since undergraduate. Your dad on the other hand is capable but your uncle just wants to complete what he has started since he already sees you as his own child. Take your dad's previous statement of account with you alongside your uncle's. Also work on how your chosen graduate program relates to your previous degree and future career prospect.

unnamdi79: why not get your uncle transfer the funds into your dads account little by little..though I don't know if the lodgement might be spotted by the VO..I know so many people who went through this track but I don't know if it is advisable..just my opinion..I stand to be corrected

cover your tuition for a year, then just print his
bank statement with that current amount and
use it for your interview before he removes the
money in it,
If things work out as I have said, you don't
need to change the details to your uncle
sponsoring you and you don't have to tell the
vo about ur dad's present situation..

Truth is, a lot of student going overseas to study abroad don't go with all the money in the world. A Lot of sacrifices will be made. Don't worry you'll be fine.

Since that's the case, it will definately change to your uncle's name, if the VO asks, you can tell the VO your dad's situation and why your uncle decided to sponsor now..
About the company document, you can still use your uncle's company's bank statement, you just have to prove to the VO that he is the sole signatory to the account.. Please house, we need assistance here..

Since its family fund, your uncle can be your sponsor but you have work to do by telling the VO why your uncle is sponsoring you now since you told them your dad before...

But i will advise you not to change a vital thing you once filled in your first interview but add to it
