Can we all see how good looking this artifact is. Of course, it's good looking. To this, I implore German government to keep it with them ( at least till we are ready with capable government). I recently went to a library in Abuja (seat of power), the library was so full of cobwebs.... |

I wish well-meaning legal practitioners can take this up. Seeking judgement to compel state government to pay each lives lost by killer herders the sum 10m as compensation as a reciprocal to government paying for killed cows. When governors as chief security officers see it that their vault is losing money. They will rise up to their duties. Right now they are unaffected |

Honestly, it's high time we Nigerians began to defend ourselves. It's an inherent right to kill whosever wishes to kill you. Even as a Christian, for me, it's my right to kill whoever wishes to kill me. johnkey: |

Some useless, ass-licking governors will deem it sensible to pay for stolen cattles but to pay compensation for lives lost by killer idiotic herdsmen isn't part of the book |

It's clear the government in higher echelon are supportive and protective of Fulani killers and would release them when arrested. How many of you have heard of a Fulani killer being convicted and sentenced in accordance to the constitution? Yet they would claim right to stay from the constitution. To this end, we need strategies. In as much as I do not compare lives to cattle. Also, it will be difficult to retaliate against Fulani communities for lives lost as they would claim it's the criminal ones. Here is my suggestion. ✓ That community/youth groups/voluntary individual take it upon themselves to retaliate technically against Fulani Herders for any lives lost. ✓ Putting it as 200 cattles for any one killed by their killer herders. This is to make it clear of the consequences of killing anyone by their foot soldiers while they claim it's the criminal ones among them. Any 200 cows seen should be killed for any killing. Let the whole community see to executing this, let's see if they would come to arrest the whole community. ✓ When this is implemented, I promise you, they would think twice before killing anyone ✓ It's madness to kill a community member and still seeing cattles roaming that community. My gush! ✓ Stop running to police, because order from above will thwart justice leaving the criminal element going free ✓ Requiring Miyetti Allah association to recompense any ravaged farmland else cattles will be seized and sold to repay farmers. Let the whole community see to this as well ✓ Honestly, I think we have weak leaders. A governor set up a law to drive out killer herdsmen from it's forest reserve and failed to implement it because of absurd pressures yet he was right and fully authorized according to the constitution as the chief security officer of the state. So why is he having that title if he can't live up to it. ✓ We need new crop of leaders in this country. My humble take. 1 Like |

Earlier this week, I went with my kid brother to register for NIN to enable him link it with his phone number so as to avoid disconnection as threatened by the government. I waited at a center - AMAC headquarters Abuja - but to avail. I had to return home without achieving the objective of going there, in fact, no official came to address us. Forward to today, I saw on my grandma's phone that she needs to link her phone number with NIN. My thoughts were like, if able young men and women are unable to do this properly because of prevailing ineptitude in this country how much more her? Can she even stand for 5 mins? Her legs aren't even good. Even if she tries to, what if someone pushes her and she fractures her leg completely. I came to the conclusion that it's either those in authority that santioned this "rush-hour" regulation are either not thinking properly or those advising them aren't. In fact, this sort of thing ought to be challenged in the courts. Shouldn't this be authorized by the national assembly? Are we in dictatorship? No good preparation, no sufficient time space, just an overnight decision, no even consultation and collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Come to think of it, if criminals want to make a call e.g. kidnappers, would they use their personal phone line? Won't they use a stolen phone or that of the victim. Now, the security agencies would be chasing the wrong man or woman thinking they are pursuing the real criminals. Many would be falsely arrested for crimes they no nothing of. If this government is serious about fighting crime. They know the right things to do (I guess so). 1. Set up security database - in fact, can we identify crimes based on fingerprints in this country? 2. Set up security cameras in major streets at least; 3. Employ our biochemistry and allied sciences graduates and create concrete detectives that can combat crimes using modern day evidences e.g. DNA; 4. Invest in calls interception and Geo-location technologies, drones etc. Not archaic, misguided tactics. The list goes on... In fact, we need modern day leaders in this country. Some of this leaders of ours are several decades away. So please Federal Government, go back to the drawing board, seek and draft a sensible plan to achieve whatever intentions driving this strange, forceful and insensitive NIN registration/SIM card linking and not just inconveniencing respectable Nigerians thinking nothing about the hardship they're undergoing to comply with this disfunctional directive. This is my humble submission as a concerned Nigerian (not so proud of that name - Nigerian - as at now but I believe we shall rise above the present ills in no distant time).

They said "inadvertently". We all know this isn't true. Thus no sincerity still and if such is the casr, there isn't any integrity. It's even worse. |

This is very simple. Governors as chief security officers of states should set up a forest guard squad comprising of military, police and paramilitary that will routinely comb forests. Nigeria rests on a tropical rainforest belt. Kidnappers, terrorists, ritualists etc. are capitalizing on these resources to perpetuate crimes, in fact, it's their hideout and base. The earlier we begin mopping our forests reserve the better. |

But the forest is being used by "them" and their Fulani collaborators in the forest as an hideout to carry out their nefarious activities and heinous crimes. BigSarah: |

Mr, justice is measured. It's not indiscriminate. A law court would determine if it's a significant threat or a mere casual talk. It will be on the police to prove beyond meaningful doubt that this fellow meant to actually attack the president. If not, we all in a kangaroo village J111333: |

Let's call on judges to be fair because this is the bedrock of what they do. It is not unheard of judiciary granting rogue and corrupt politicians bails. It's clear this man hasn't benefited from legal instruments protecting his fundamental human rights. We all human, these rights were Instituted to protect human dignity. wellmax: |

Does it infinges on his fundamental human rights to be in detention for that long for that accusation. Ask yourself and answer honestly. wellmax: |

Mr, we aren't in a kangaroo village. The question is: was the arrest santioned by a court or an unlawful detention? wellmax: |

He could have given another "post", what the heck is as "face Of Bayelsa girl". It's clear there is a vendetta towards Nengi. I hope it's not so, it would be very bad. We in an era to stamp out sexual intimidation from any quarter. I just feel this isn't a good one. No need replacing anyone for such an unceremonial post. |

It becomes clear that an insider, a rogue banker has hacked into your account and transferred that money. It's unlikely an outsider. The unfortunate tin is that regulators are sleeping on issues like this. Could also be people don't pursue cases like this to reasonable conclusion. I suggest you perturb CBN, Servicom and NDIC relentlessly, give all three no breathing space. Use email preferably and calls. Don't let your hard sweats go down the drain unexplainably. Give them (Sterling Bank) a good fight. They will be the one calling you to settle it. And the only logical settlement is them replacing your money back to where and how it was originally. Good luck bro. dammycree: |

Do you use onepay app or internet banking, Seems to me the thief got hold of login details then transferred from your sterling bank account. Just thinking. I guess he got hold of your atm details and then registered the app on his phone. Am not a sterling bank user, don't know if there is onepay app. Just giving my thoughts dammycree: |

Your point noted. Understand that in a circumstantial way, using that term becomes racist. If you don't curb it in every dimension, literal racism will stroll in. Then you will find it that they are playing on your intelligence. So better to curb any racial term. Imagine be identified as that "coloured guy" in a midst is white friends and others laughing (let's say u coloured). Hope you get my point. So it isn't a case of being proud to be black, they are, even love the black colour more than you think. Gbest90: |

Unfortunately, it means freedom. Reason being that, Nigeria police will forget about his case after he pays. They move on with their numerous cases. It's better he is charged to court immediately.. Probably be remanded in prison till further notice. He robbed with a gun as seen in the pic, he might be jailed eventually or hanged. angelfallz: |

Useless people. Dollar is rising against naira everyday they don't see that to fight, it's those fighting for their right they can wield their weak might on. Come to think of it, when did CBN become DSS. Misguided and misfit people. No wonder our economy is plummeting each day. 1 Like |

Kudos to the Nigerian Army. I urge them to not allow themselves to be abused for political gains and dishonor the gallant reputation they have. Honestly, their actions at the Lekki Toll Gate is a disgrace. It's a disgraceful thing to attack unarmed people. Rather, attack the terrorists and bandits. That's honorable. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
