Do you listen to 96.9 Cool fm? If you do, you probably have listened to one of their presenters called Ejike. Yeah? This guy has got the most horrendous voice I’ve ever heard. His voice is like a frog’s; like a boy who just entered puberty; you know that cracking sound? Yeah right!
When he first came on, I thought he wouldn’t last, (that maybe they were testing him) considering the caliber of presenters in the radio station. But then, I started wondering why he was signed in the first place? With such a coarse voice? He’s worst when he reads the news, you hardly gasp what he’s saying.
Nonetheless, he’s getting fame and I guess he’s here to stay. Well, some people tell him they like his voice, some even say he’s the best! When does being a frog make you a presenter (not to talk of being a good one). Or was it not the voice of people like Dan Foster, Freeze, Kamal Salau, Wild Child, Ebuka etc makes them the best presenters around? And maybe including their razzmatazz? But Ejike doesn’t even have any razzmatazz. It’s just that being an on-air personality makes people love you automatically. But is that suppose to be? Beats me!
