Politics / Re: El-Rufai Wants Keshi, Emenike In APC To Run For Public Office by liquid7: 11:55pm On Feb 11, 2013 |
greggng: i hate it when jobless people come on here to insult men and women that have made their marks on the development of this nation.whether you like it or not elrufai is a man to be respected. The real jobless people are the few that comes here to insult the once doing well. Before you call him a jobless person , let us know your own job.so we should respect people who stole money and can't keep shut now? Is this what Nigeria has become? Revolution is long overdue ! |
Politics / Re: El-Rufai Wants Keshi, Emenike In APC To Run For Public Office by liquid7: 7:57pm On Feb 11, 2013 |
only reason el-rufai gets any notice is he is one of the only ex politican who knows how to use the internet. He talks a lot of rubbish most of the time. |
Politics / Re: Congratulations To President Jonathan by liquid7: 7:53pm On Feb 11, 2013 |
chei only Nigerians can congratulate a man that done nothing for the economy because he appointed a Nigerian coach . Even if GEJ played for Nigeria and scored a hat trick is this why we made him president? So the prime minister of spain should be given life time accomplishment because the spanish team won the world cup? Abeg let him solve the electricity and bad road problem then i will hail him! So abacha was the best thing that happened to Nigeria because i seem to remember we won a gold medal in olympics, won this same cup and went beyond round 1 in the world cup during his era. |
Politics / Re: What Has Buhari And His CPC Been Doing In Nasarawa State? by liquid7: 7:48pm On Feb 11, 2013 |
Its unfair to say Buhari is responsible for a state which he is not the governor of. Its like saying anything going wrong in california is Obama fault because the governor there is a democrat just like Obama. |

Politics / All We Need From The Government Is.... by liquid7: 7:41pm On Feb 11, 2013 |
Life amenities that is all.No large white elephant projects,no stupid over bloated projects and airports. When you look at brazil and most modern success stories including china this is what their government focused on and let the people do the rest. Give us constant and affordable electricity and water.Give us a working telecommunication which works and not over bloated priced mobile phone service and rubbish internet speeds.Give us good transport network and the rest will follow. We have the population and cost of labour is really affordable.Firms will flock to Nigeria.Heck local buisness will flourish. How Nigerians have I seen so willing to come and start medium/small firms in Nigeria.I spoke to a doctor who wanted to invest $200,000 in Nigeria in a textile industry but hates the thought of running cost such as generator and poor roads. So much can be accomplished from just good roads/rail,electricity and water. We can be a production giant! Yet we have clueless governments building one white elephant after another .New billion dollar airports for what?is that a priority when we lack basic things to encourage production to start with.New lekki airport because people hate going to MM ? If we can boost production and manufacturing then the next step should modernizing the ports for the shipping industry . |

Actually i have to agree with those saying a new airport is misplaced priority |

Career / Re: Why Are Professionals So Underpaid In Nigeria? by liquid7: 10:29am On Aug 06, 2011 |
dunno about 10-12 times though.in uk pharmacist get about 35-50k £. if you break that per month its about 3000 - 4000 £.Put in the tax and its about 2400 -3000£. so £2400 is about 600,000 naira .So its about 4-6 times more then 120,000. but when you add in higher living expenses .Here you pay council tax, road tax, very high insurance, high rent/mortgage you are practically just working to live. |
Business / Re: Russia To Build A Nuclear Power Plant For Nigeria. Danger! by liquid7: 11:05am On Jul 30, 2011 |
Let the igbos take this one i beg you GEJ. In 10-20 years when the cooling system fails due to the usual Nigerian poor maintainace we will have lot less igbos posting here . Even if the Russians are given the full contract to run and maintain it ,in times of emergency they call the emergency services which is non existant in Nigeria. look at japan using planes to drop huge amount of water on that plant to cool it.Using foam to coat it .Nigeria does not even have working fire engines . |
Business / Re: Russia To Build A Nuclear Power Plant For Nigeria. Danger! by liquid7: 1:39am On Jul 30, 2011 |
I have no problem with the Russians building it .Those pointing to chernoboyl should look at the map and see its located in Ukraine not Russia .also it was a failed experiement rather then a maintaince failure.also lets not talk about Ajaokuta Steel complexx , Nigerian government failed to pay all the different countries we hired and like any contractor they abandoned it .Lets not forget we even brought Italians in at one point and they let too for failure to pay fees. The 750bn naira went into many nigerian pockets http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster. Anyhow it does not matter who builds it for us .Ask yourself this before you think its a good thing.Do we have the facilities to deal with an emergency?Do we have a maintance culture?will corruption not play a part in safety ? Read up on how nuclear plants work before saying you want this and it will create jobs bla blah.If the cooling system fails in a nuclear reactor you cannot stop it leaking radiation or even exploding. There is no simple switch to put it off. If you have no undertsanding how a nuclear plant works please then refrain from posting .It is actually very serious and i see the igbo crowd here wants it located in their land.this is one time i say let them have it ! If its energy you want we have fast slowing rivers to dam ,we are blessed with loads of sunshine for solsar power, have a coastline for wind turbine and have loads of gas to run run power plants .All much safer .Nuclear power is NOT for Nigeria ,its only a major disaster waiting to happen . The russians will probably build us a state of the art one and then leave a couple technicans around. Then comes the maintainace .They will tell the minster they need $$$$ for it,he will give them 1/4th of that money and pocket the rest and they will buy poor quality stuff .That is how nigeria works pure and simple.Do you think some minster will even think of the true dangers . we can not even extinguish a simple house fire and you talking about nuclear reactors? if they must build it then build it where it seems the few supporters on this forum want it.In igboland and pray the winds blow east when the disaster happens. That will sort their overpopulation problems in 1 go. sadly the russians are only intrested in the money and since its so far away from them they careless . |
Business / Re: Russia To Build A Nuclear Power Plant For Nigeria. Danger! by liquid7: 10:39pm On Jul 29, 2011 |
seanet02:you craze for head .no bring death come asaba .i don tell you.put am next to GEJ for abuja and make we see if billions of $$ can shield him and the senators from nuclear radiation. People who own this nuclear plants realise the importance of good maintaince or else massive disaster. This is not something for Nigeria and is certainly not a toy.if oil refinery fail means no fuel ,if nuclear plant fails means millions of souls die. |
Business / Re: Russia To Build A Nuclear Power Plant For Nigeria. Danger! by liquid7: 10:04pm On Jul 29, 2011 |

TV/Movies / Re: Will An Action Nollywood Movie Sell In Nigeria? by liquid7: 12:22pm On Jul 28, 2011 |
if the production was of western standards then yes but it must cost a fortune to make.not the fake stunts you see where a car brakes and we see a guy jump from a funny angle.not the car explodes and we see a fire from a distance no one is sure what is burning.not the gun is fired a some paint appears on a shirt that clearly been cut with a pair of scissors. for god sakes we can't even do a man on fire which when showed to me by someone working for bbc is so easy and cheap to do! do all this things and yes people will watch it no problem.after all district 9 was made purely in south africa with african cast(yes, white south africans were in it but they are africans complete with accent) ,even the director was south african though peter jackson did sponsor the movie but said his involement was minimal. that movie made $210m made for $30m . |
Politics / Re: What Is Gej Govt Doing About Our Reserve In Us Dollars? by liquid7: 1:42am On Jul 28, 2011 |
its called petro dollar and is the main reason the dollar remains a major foce in currency trading. All "friendly" states to USA use petro dollars and thus makes a good chunk of countries reliant on the dollar. |

Politics / Re: What Nigeria Needs? Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala by liquid7: 6:40pm On Jul 27, 2011 |
Diligence: i don't want her or OBJ or GEJ.She might be the one eyed person in the kindgom of the blind but that does not mean she is the one to drag nigeria out of its current mess. You need someone with lots of guts to do this. As for the usual Biafra talk make you go sit down.No one can predict how Biafra would have turned out and fact is to me Biafra already started in a bad way when they attacked tribes who were not intrested in joining them and claiming to liberate them(forced liberate to join another dictatorship). that is why the Biafrian army got poisoned in benin because they were nothing more then invaders who wished to annex areas deemed to have resources and ports. |
Politics / Re: What Nigeria Needs? Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala by liquid7: 2:14pm On Jul 27, 2011 |
Bliss4Lyfe:So wait she has happily served obasanjo corrupt pdp government now she is sitting on GEJ equally corrupt government and what has she done to solve the problem from the core. She wants to make a policy making it hard for this corrupt officals to take the money abroad is her answer. Her fellow ministers and her boss the president are the source of this corruption ,should she not start from there and maybe if she refused to take office with GEJ ,citing she would not serve under a corrupt leadership she could be viewed as a viable canditate. The apple starts to rot from the core and she is a member of the core aka the federal goernment. True fresh air will have nothing to do with this sort of government which she has served twice!!! strangely she is citing a situation of a corrupt governor which is clever way of diverting the attention from the central source of corruption the federal government. |
Politics / Re: What Nigeria Needs? Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala by liquid7: 1:52pm On Jul 27, 2011 |
Bliss4Lyfe:if you can prove to me and countless others that she actually has the vision to save nigeria then i WILL vote for her.I voted for buhari and i am from niger delta so you cannot preach sentiments to me as i rejected a "son of the soil" because i felt buhari had a better vision for nigeria. Show me an agenda she has or evidence she has made a SIGNIFICANT impact in the country is all i ask for from her and any other candidate. I certainly will not vote for her because UK or pakistan or whatever country had a female president and so we must have one.If she proves to be the best there is to offer in 2015 i guess i will vote for her but hopefully we will be blessed with better candidates then her even if its another woman. Considering she has been part of 2 corrupt government has not stood up and blasted the most major issue we have which is corrupt government ,her word means as much to me as the now blabbing El Rufai. |

Business / Re: Buhari Urges Return To Gold-Backed Currencies To End Inflation by liquid7: 1:02pm On Jul 27, 2011 |
a lot of countries and even individuals have since the global recession kept their money into gold thus gold keeps rising in price . Examples are russia, venezula, france, germany, italy etc. Some believe even that the reason italy has not long sicne fallen into a greece situation is due to creditors been a bit more on ease since they have a huge gold reserve. Nigeria however has chosen the way of petro dollars which can be dangerous espically with the current state of the USA economy. I praise buhari for saying this . |
Politics / Re: What Nigeria Needs? Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala by liquid7: 12:50pm On Jul 27, 2011 |
Bliss4Lyfe:so in her term as minster of finance we still remain 178th in GDP per capita worse then in 1999 and 70% live below poverty line .Sorry i am yet to see her as a true saviour of nigeria . Granted she is certainly better then the other clueless ministers we have had who only skill is to chop money but she is not the one to carry nigeria out of the pile of crap we are sitting in. |

does it matter if the next president is from north or south, man or woman, blind or deaf as long as they can rebuild this train wreck we call nigeria? I don't care honestly if they can do it where they are from, age, gender or sexual orientation(yes i would vote a gay in if i thought they have the answers) but to me ngozi does not have the answers and certainly not the strenght to radically change nigeria and defeat corruption and thus no support from me. |

10 pages and only jenifa has actually come out to say what i said. The original poster story is very questionable for reasons already given. but like everything in nigeria once you mention the word tribe then it sparks a debate of who is better without looking into the concept of the original topic. I think the original poster did "create" this story to promote unity though. |
