I looked back into the insurgence of the corona virus pandemic, its distribution and hazards all over the world. I looked out how the ungodly society is quick to bad-mouth payers and compare Nigeria or Africa as a praying nation to the developed technology-inclined world. But I realise God has really helped the African nations, Nigeria in particular from the havoc of the deadly virus. Nations that soley depended on science and technology were wrecked and disgraced, they were surprised with how the African nations, especially Nigeria was able to survive the viral attack. We all know Nigeria lack the technological capability to surpress and curb the deadly situation, how is that possible if not for God intervention and the answered prayer of the Church (Saints). Believe it or not, Prayer works. |

It baffles me that the religion section is dominated by those who claim not to believe in religion, and they have succeeded in dominance by their constant bashing christianic post and posting of Antichrist articles. Whereas, here I found just few spirit uplifting posts. I wonder if we have true Christians here, not church fanatics, followers of M.O.G, tongue speakers (with no Power)? Do we have Christians who truly never live for themselves but for Christ, those who are ready to spread the true mind and love of Christ on this medium. Those who will use this medium to propagate the true Gospel of Christ and savage religious and societal decadence. |

etokhana: If this is true, why do you think the president and northerners will never forgive him for his active participation and positive contributions as acting president (when he was granted the political power to change the course of governance). He is silent today lives to speak tomorrow, He is a man of less words and more action, a man who knows when to speak nd not to. If he had talked that time, he would ve been so much relegated politically, just as what is happening to Sowore. 1 Like 1 Share |

"A JS 1 student dragged i government and her school to court for life-threatening wounds inflicted in her by her teacher. She was given twenty (20) strokes of the cane." - News 1. "A female teacher beat a student to death for not doing his assignment. The student was actually sick before the incident and told the teacher about it, but she won't listen to his explanation." - News 2. Due to the recent abuse of cane in schools by teachers, some schools have banned the use of cane on students. Do you think this step taken by school owners is good? Don't you think this will further erode discpline in schools? What do you would have been the best measures to discipline students? |

The developed countries of the world cherish their education system, they constantly review and reform the curriculum in line with the present demand, growth and trend. No wonder their students are well equiped with both knowledge and skills, and technologically informed. I have heard from at least five lecturers who said they were taken aback and embarrassed while they went for academic conference in some pf those countries, because so many things were so new to them, therefore they couldn't operate gadgets but a secondary student can easily work on. Recently in U.S.A, schools have included Information literacy, Life and career skills into their curriculum. But in Nigeria, we are still operating the curriculum that was designed in the 19th century with just little changes. NERDC and our scholars should wake up because jobs that will be available in the future is beyond "What is Chemistry?". What is your opinion? |

Concentrating only on your academics is just too unsafe. The quality of education given in schools is also biased and shallow. They will never teach you to meet up with the trend of the 21st century. They will never equip you to face the challenges and realities of life after school. You are to learn this yourself to SECURE your own FUTURE now. During the seminar, You will learn tips, skills and steps to leverage on as a student that will equip you for the present economic and market trend in Nigeria. Join the online seminar and SECURE YOUR FUTURE https://www.facebook.com/108986284798208/posts/114349867595183/?flite=scwspnss |

DISCOURAGE MY SUICIDE PLOT An ugly incident happened that shook a social forum last week. It was about the suicide case of a thirteen (13) years old female pupil. When I saw the news I was taken aback because I wonder what could have caused the young student to have committed such act. But after a critical look at the incident (by analysing the suicide note) and coupled with various encountered I had with students who had suicidal plot, I deemed it important to write on it. Parents, be mindful of how you speak to your wards about their poor academic performance. Those demeaning, negative, and abusive words used on them will never bring the desired change, they obviously worsen not just their academic performance but also their psychological stability as those words drown them into the ocean of despair and failure. Rather, they need encouragement, hope, and constructive measures that can enhance their learning. Teacher, never neglect the weak ones in class, give them that sense of belonging that boost confidence which aids learning. Manage the class and prevent them being looked down on by their colleagues. Be the shoulder the weak student can rely and rest on for their success (not through malpractice), and never abuse their trust. Student, desist from the barbaric act of making fun of your mate or fellow within and outside the classroom. A good student would rather render help and support for those who are seemingly weaker. To you contemplating or planning suicide due to failure and depression caused by your uncaring parents, careless teachers and annoying mates. That you fail does not mean you are a failure, and that people around you are not caring shouldn’t weigh you down. The truth is that you are loved even by those people but they are just ignorant on how to be of help. So, suicide is never the solution, erase such thought that want you to give up on yourself and truncate your great future. www.goldeneducationalhub.school.blog https://www.facebook.com/108986284798208/posts/112798591083644/?app=fbl |

duro4chang: Bro, If we can only stop being self-centered and put into consideration the future of this young ones, knowing the state of labour market in this country. Schools can still make money by introducing these skills into their curriculum. It shouldn't just be about book, we can still educate them using various methodologies aside the normal classroom routine. Thanks for your understanding. 313 Likes 10 Shares |

Vacation is here again. Time for students to rest and experience life outside the four walls of a school. But Summer Lesson has been abused and misused. Both parents and their wards have no idea what summer break should entails. I stumbled on a letter on the net recently, which I deem fit to be shared here for the benefit of parents and their children. Dear Parents, A child will go to school by 7am and close by 5pm for five days out of the seven days in a week. During weekends that child comes home with many assignments in all the subjects he or she is offering in school and at such, there won’t be time to rest and play at the weekends. The child does that for almost four months hoping to enjoy the holidays only for the school (in collaboration with the parents) to come up with an unnecessary activities in the name of holidays lesson. What exactly do you want to teach that child again at this period? Is it what he or she learnt in the just concluded session or what they will learn next term? Dear Nigerian parents, summer holiday is a period you allow a child to experience other things in life apart from formal education. Allow them to travel for the vacation and if you do not have money for that, take them to places where they will learn new skills. http://goldeneducationalhub.school.blog/2021/07/21/parents-stop-abusing-summer-break/ 259 Likes 22 Shares |

No doubt this year has been full of ups and downs. The blind can see the calamity that befell this year - the pandemic, economic and political instability locally and globally. But with all those, there are goals we were able to hit, whether minor or great, it is worthy of appraisal. Hence, let's talk about it to encourage and motivate us to do better next year. Also, what are those acts you regretted doing this year, or happenings you wished never happened, let's talk about it and avoid it the coming year. I personally almost curse this year, and felt there is nothing tangible to show for a meaningful life this year. But on a second thought, I realised those little achievements worth to be celebrated despite the happening of the year. As a teacher, I was able to present my students (toiled so hard for them, despite the discouragement) for WAEC and they all had distinctions. I was able to touch lives and make them happy. Hmm| I regret starting this year with an ungodly relationship. I was also held a prisoner of my ugly past, and never had the chance improve and develop myself as I live daily cuffed with guilt. I allowed bad situations I experienced this year to affect my emotions and personality, I became more aggressive and selfish this year. Hopefully, next year would be a better year, God helping me. |

I truly concur with this, since in fact most of it are some of his campaign promises. I am writing too, to ask Mr President where are the effects of his campaign promises, and concerning Fuel, he promised to make it #40 and Nigerians voted due to this "empty" promises. What is your take on this? Nairaland won't allow me to upload photo. This is his advice as tweeted: Dear General @MBuhari, 5 things to do instead of hiking fuel/electric costs: 1. Sell your 10 presidential jets 2. Reduce your's and your aides pay 3. Ban foreign healthcare for officials 4. Stop sponsoring pilgrimage to Mecca/Israel 5. Truly fight corruption ©Reno Omokri |

I was shocked when the president became the president, I wonder why people voted him for second term, when the first was a signal to all we are experiencing now. Let us expect more, since we Nigerians are not yet politically wise. I don't watch BBN but I sabi all that is happening in the house due to post on social media and even on this platform (but same set of people are not yet talking about the hike in fuel price and electricity tariff, days after it has been effected). We focus on something that has no value and of importance to us, misplaced priority. Nigerians are still deluded to think party wise, not about the commendable qualities and traits of candidates. I wonder what will remain for the future generation. The issues in this country alone are enough sign to know the end is here. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

HOPE: An Handcuff You Must Break! As a child, I lived on dreams. I do imagine myself becoming a very wealthy man, who has a big mansion with cars of iconic brands. I fantasied being a famous and prolific elite in my immediate society and beyond. This is not unusual for a child born in a low cadre of a rural community. I can't but envisage for a blissful future, and at the same time envy the riches of the rich around me. Hope, this has been my watchword, for I have been hoping all through the years. I hope for this or that, I hope to be this or that. Hope, actually succeeded in keeping me alive literally, especially when I grew up only to remain in the social class that I have always been, despite my dreams and fantasy. But hope has not just succeeded in keeping alive, it has also made me dead to the realities of life. I remain stagnated hoping for that desired future to express itself. You might ask how? Hope is built on probability or possibilities not on certainty. Life is beyond seating in your comfort zone, hoping for a miracle or for the goodies of life to come to you. You can't just keep spending time on social media viewing "yeyebrities" and "slayers" (that has nothing to offer you than oppression), and hope to be a world class figure. Don't get it twisted, this kind of hope is merely laziness and mediocrity in disguise. Such, will only chain your hands from taking actions and working out your desires. You need to break this handcuff and "work out your salvation", for your future and your success lie in your hands. Your decisions cum actions will always give results, you create what you become with your hands not by hope.
