Thanks for your answer Justwise. I guess by providing evidence as per each deposit, you mean that I should have attached deposit forms from my bank which tie in with my bank statement. You are absolutely right. But generally, what if I deposit them myself. (I have done so with some deposits). How can I ever prove my personal savings if I do accrue my income and deposit them as one lump every now and then. Thanks Justwise.

Happy to have come back again with my inquiries, boiling down to my attempts to convince ECO that I am returning to my home country after my visit. I should thank first Justwise and others who truly helped me getting my Tier 4 student visa about 2 years ago.

I am attending my graduation this July, having submitted what seemed to me enough documents together with my father's documents. I was awarded my degree only in June (being a writing up a student till May), claiming my graduation letter on the 20th. So I am unemployed.

These are the documents I have submitted:

1-Bank statement covering 6 months period with sufficient funds to pay for the whole journey.
2-Graduation letter sent me electronically by the student life desk.
3- Proof of purchasing a property in installments with an article stating my payments to be in effect since 2011.
4-My parents's marriage certificate as an indicator of my ties back home.
5-Itinerary and return flight tickets indicating a trip of only 10 days.

My concerns: I have concerns about my bank statement deposits being untraceable. I have declared in my online application that I get approximately 400 GBP pounds per month from family and friends. But my bank statement presents large lumps of money being deposited regularly since January due to my father helping me saving for my phd. He does so temporarily (never on regular basis) in addition to my depositing personal savings from my previous job whose payment history belongs to a totally different bank account.

Thank you Charles. That is exquisitely right. Worry is somehow a muse for stupidity. What do you think as yet to what limits could the UK border officers approve my entrance, when I am in debt to the bank via my credit card.. I have the required funds still in my debit Card..

Can I get to UK border without having booked an accommodation. Would they ask about my address, or that I can just write down the University's address in the landing card.

I should pay my for my accommodation after tomorrow, but the University would get it by earliest 17th, which is my flight date. So I wouldn't have a receipt of my payment or anything.

Moreover, I have two accounts; a debit card and a master card.. I have the exact required funds in my debit card. But I am in debt to the bank in my master card with a considerable amount.. What could be the problem that seems to be always lingering around..

I have got my visa today. Sure there shouldn't be a comparison in processing times away from Nigeria. Different countries have different processing times. Applied on 27th August,issued on 3rd September, collected on 5th september. I can't believe getting it just after 5 working days. Guys I love you all. Thanks to donxiaver, dharkchild and all of your. When worries are being shared , what wins is the human existence.

Just one question left.. In the university's before-arrival brochure , it's stated that if I am bringing cash with me, there should be an amount equivalent to 10000 Euros or above upon arrival. Now, it's just a problem. How could there be different UKBA requirements in different contexts. I thought I should be showing only the required amount for the spanned 9 months stay and now I have just realized that it's a must adding extra amount of money..

Is what I understand correct or it's just another terminal of trouble..

Above all , I have got my visa.. It's a victory either way...

Oh sorry then. I didn't know. Anyway, like you said just find an interactive VAF9 form elsewhere.Google is your friend. Still check the UEL, if they had VAF8, they might have the VAF9. Best wishes

Oh Donxavier.. I have just realized that VAF8 are for those applying from inside UK.. I now guess most of the people here applying inside UK. I feel quiet emotionally separated..

My forms are VAF9. I had first to apply online filling VAF9 application form, then on 27th I will be submitting VAF9 appendix form.. I am not sure if it is the same like anywhere else. But this is what I had and supposed to do..That's why I did realize that the UEL's guidance form is not quiet the same as mine.. :S

There is a comprehensive interactive guide to filling of Visa forms on UEL(Uni of East London)'s website. Just download the Interactive VAF8 and the appendix forms and follow the guidance.

When filling out my application form , I encountered certain questions considering English Language ability. I had IBT TOEFL test thus I had to choose that I should submit an original certificate. Yet, on my application they need the Test's reference number.. In my original score sheet there is nothing but the "Registration number".. Moreover, that "Award date" is demanded although on the sheet there is nothing but the "Test Date".. What do you think? Thank you for your help.

I think you should be ok. You don't need to add extra documents. Especially for something as minor as that.

I am afraid it's not as minor as it sounds.. The address printed on my Toefl official report is stated to be in USA. I have never been to USA before, and in my online application they asked if I had been to USA before and I said truthfully no. They might get suspicious then as to how I have stated that I have never been to USA and my address in my certificate is in USA.. This was a long story, as I preferred for my certificate to be sent to my relatives and they in return to send it to me via DHL, instead of international standard mails being lost by EGYPT's postal services.

Unfortunately, this was the last post I got from ukresident.com forum in correspondence with my last request considering a bank statement without a name or logo, but with a letterhead assuring it's authenticity.. Check it please and share my anxiety..

Friends, I promise that would be from the last few questions.

I have held the maintenance fund required by UKBA for more than 28 days then, however, and quiet recently, I have withdrawn a slight amount of money that wouldn't by any means get the funds held below the required. Please reflect on this situation.

In paragraph 157, it's stated that "The money a Tier 4 (General) student shows us must be for his/her use for studying
and living in the UK. The full amount of this money – which should be held in the manner
specified in this guidance - must continue to be available to the Tier 4 (General) student after
his/her application is made, except for any money the student has had to pay for course fees
and living costs."
I hope that would mean only the required money by UKBA , not the whole amount of funds being held.

I get official bank statements every month with all the details required. However, I couldn't wait longer for 5 working days or more the time I decided to make an application. The bank officer told me that it's ultimately sufficient, and the letter bears a dedication to UKBA itself. It's really confusing what UKBA really means when stating a bank statement. Does it mean just the list of transactions for a certain period, or what you have really got from a bank as an evidence "statement"..

My bank statement hasn't got a bank name and logo.. However HSBC has attached a head-letter with it, having a bank logo and name, referring to the bank statement as an attachment and assuring it's authenticity..

Guys, I have a weird problem, kind of same problems that pursue me on purpose..

I had a long story with my TOEFL certificate.. Till last July, I had never been given a hard copy of my original certificate because of the the bad Egyptian postal services.. As a last chance to get it ,I update my contact information in my Toefl Ibt personal account to be the address of my relatives who live in USA. According to which, my certificate had finally been arrived to them and then they in return sent the certificate to me via DHL express courier..

As a result, in the address section in my Certificate is address is stated to be in USA, although I have never been there before..

Would UKBA miss that for fraud and reject my visa..

I had paid already all of my tuition fees before I issued they issued my CAS. I had approximately 7500 GBP ( in Egyptian Pounds) from 9th July till 8th August.. The date of my bank statement is 12th of August. I have taken slight amounts of money after that would never by any means get my funds below the required.. I hope you would clarify the plausibility of my statement...

I hope 8th of August - the time of a last transaction- would be considered as the closing balance although the statement was printed 4 days later..

Banks statements are really torturing my mind. And here is my question;

I have issued my bank statement yesterday 12 th August and have made my application on the same day. My bank statement transactions have covered the required 28 days with the required funds needed for maintenance. The problem is that the last transaction date-although has already exceeded the minimum 28 days- is not of the same date of the statement. Last transaction is dated 8th August.. Date of statement is the 12th.

Please inform me if I am safe or if I have no chance to correct this...
