Nairaland / General / Snake Killed In Ago Palace Canal (Photos) by louismarkin: 1:07pm On Nov 30, 2016
Was on a tour and building inspection around the region of Ago this afternoon where I encountered a man who just killed a snake before my very eyes. See the giant snake the man killed in the canal area of Ago Palace way, Okota.

Funny enough, the man who killed the snake has tagged it for 20k. It will amaze you to know that the man who killed it is the one behind on a face cap, and without shirt.

No be small thing oooo. 20k for this meat. shocked

I know for some people who work online may at some point have had challenges (in the past or present ) with withdrawing their Dollar ($) funds, especially with the fact that PayPay does not allow you to withdraw your funds if your account is Nigeria. I will give you an easy step towards registration and reception of your dollar enabled ATM Mastercard Card by Payoneer.

Payoneer is an International money transfer service company that allows individuals or companies to get paid from anywhere around the world. Now I shall give the explanations on how to register as follows:

Firstly, it’s free to Signup!

Secondly, as a "rule of priority":
Never use fake information or falsify any give data as that may hamper greatly your chance of been approved.

Requirements For Registration (In terms of form of identification):

You can use your Driver’s License, International Passport, voter’s ID or any other Government approved Identity card. During registration, when you are asked for Zip Code, use 234001 rather than 23401.

Where To Register?
To get started you can simply use the link: https://share.payoneer.com/nav/XidhdLYwR02TK5Y4_nipJRcUwaEcl_t-lhf_pil8eQtxtG3kg07dh2pd4snMCBFIJrIoWI9ZVShx-G3w6sBG7g2 or just Google up Payoneer. Once you are there, just click on the Signup button. You also stand a chance to earn $25 when you register.

Follow the step by step prompts upon registration, as everything is easy to setup.

What Happens After Registration?

After registration, your account will be inactive until they it has been approved. The approval usually takes within 24hrs after registration.
Once approval is successful, you will be notified by email.

How Can I Use The Card, And Can I Withdrawal Anywhere?

For those who already do online work in marketplaces such as Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer and much more, you can receive your money with your Payoneer card.

And for questions about withdrawal anywhere, yes! Good news is: Payoneer’s ATM card can be used anywhere or on ATM machines MasterCard is supported.

For visuals, I snapped mine and put on display as seen below. However, I had to cover my details for security reasons.

Now, When Will My Payoneer ATM Dollar Card Be Ready?

It usually takes about 27 – 29days for it to be delivered to you. Of course you will be notified by mail about it. Endeavor to cross check your shipping address and information before submission, as wrong address can cause delayed card delivery.

If you have any questions, you can simply follow and comment on the trend.

That’s it for now!

Business / MMM Investors Rues For Their Loss. Be Careful Aspirants!!! by louismarkin: 6:10am On Oct 05, 2016
This is about those who wish to invest in MMM, a little pitch to you: "Be careful!"

Well, in this regard I stand to be corrected. According to a recent post and news I read about regarding investors in MMM in the quest to make extra cash, they seem to regret such investment. I also remember the Central Bank Of Nigeria warn against people investing in the scheme. See story below:

" THOUSANDS of people, among them civil servants and vendors, have lost thousands of dollars to fraudulent online pyramid scheme MMM Global Zimbabwe after it collapsed recently. The social financial network, which relied on an accelerating number of new members to pay off the old, abruptly terminated its services last week leaving participants stranded.

This comes as Econet’s mobile financial service platform, EcoCash yesterday distanced itself from the pyramid scheme. Participants claimed they were using EcoCash for their transactions.

Zimbabweans have in the past months been joining the online investment scheme in droves in a bid “to get rich quickly”. The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe warned people that the scheme was fraudulent and there was no legal recourse in the event they lost their money.

The central bank said MMM, which advertises its operations through a website and recruiting agents, was not a registered or regulated entity. EcoCash yesterday said: “We have noted that some of these pyramid schemes are allegedly advertising in a manner that suggests that the Ecocash facility is a medium for prospective members to deposit their money. This is not correct.

“We advise our valued customers and all stakeholders that Ecocash is a licensed mobile payment platform that enables customers to make financial transactions such as sending money, buying prepaid airtime as well as paying for goods and services within the confines of the law of Zimbabwe. EcoCash promotes safe and legal transactions but will not be held liable for any losses arising from the use of EcoCash to engage in illegal activities such as Ponzi schemes.”

The scheme advertises itself as a mutual aid fund under which recruited members contribute money to assist others and are promised investment returns of 30 percent per month. Some of the people left counting their losses told The Herald that they received emails that the scheme had been suspended until September 15.

“All along things were moving in the right direction and we now have nowhere to claim our investments,” said Mr Tinashe Muza of Harare.

“When we started putting our funds in the scheme one could get assistance within seven days but things later changed to 14 days and when we were shut out the waiting period was 21 days. What it simply means is that the number of people in need of help has outnumbered the number of people joining. Right now we have nowhere to get our money which we invested.”

MMM stands for Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox and takes its name from its founder, Sergei Panteleevich Mavrodi of Russia. He founded MMM in 1989 and the scheme was declared bankrupt three years later leading to the disappearance of Mavrodi until his arrest in 2003.

Another victim, Mrs Rosemary Mawonde said: “We never thought the scheme would end this way as we believed that by using EcoCash to do the transactions, things were in order. I am surprised that EcoCash is also distancing itself from the scheme and it is clear that I will never recover the $300 that I invested.”

While some people who were skeptical about the scheme started with small amounts, it is believed some poured in thousands of dollars anticipating higher returns. The RBZ said the schemes were fraudulent as existing investors were ‘paid money not from genuine market investment of their funds, but from contributions made by new investors, until a point when the scheme can no longer attract new investors,”

“The participants are made aware that they make their money by recruiting new members who in turn must recruit more members,” warned the Central Bank.

Politics / Re: Change First Before Asking For The Change We Promised - Buhari Tells Nigerians by louismarkin: 7:19pm On Sep 08, 2016
Well for me I can proudly say they never had any plans for Nigerians.

After watching the APC Edo state Governorship rally two days ago, and seeing how Adams was hopping from one spot to another with fake comments, and how APC chairman made a lot of false statements one of which was: Adams not collecting any form of allocation in the last 7yrs really helped confirmed my statement.

The present leaders (apart from those who are truly committed ) are bunch of truants, having fun with a political structure that seems to favour rogues, but destroy the poor.

Your time will be up soon!

Well! I hope that we Nigerians (Youths between the ages of 30 - 40) as suggested by some will be ready to hangup their personal interest and desires and fight to reunite all that has been lost. That's what it will take to make Nigeria still great.

- Smart leader with personal interests amid smart teams with same (No no no no noooooo),

- Not so smart leader with interest of the people, and surrounded by a sound economic team of people-oriented personnel (Will actually be a good start.)

That's my fair take.

grin Yes, I know what your thoughts might have been, but don't worry I am convinced that the people of Nigeria are far greater (intellectually and development-driven) than any economic turbulence or bad political advocates.

But quickly, who would support to see Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan Reinstated into power come 2019?

Your actions here would tell it all...

Business / Market Influencers | The Advertising Campaign Entrepreneurs Should Never Ignore by louismarkin: 1:11pm On May 27, 2015
When it comes to entrepreneurship, a consideration on the marketing department or strategies intended to endear the prospects or solicitors to a brand becomes very indispensable, as a low knowledge of the brand by its prospects regardless of service proficiency may end up halting the brand’s existence.

There is no doubt that businesses vary in structure, service types and financial stand, and as a result one may be tempted to believe that certain advertising methods are less effective when compared to blue-chip high paying 21st century advertising platforms.

There are so many advertising channels that can be seen today as either a micro-channel (word of mouth, SMS communication, email marketing) or macro-channel (paid social media ads, magazines, newspapers, television, and radio), but these two strategies should never be overlooked especially for small business startup owners who do not have all the personnel or money to spend on advertising: “word of mouth” and “SMS/email communication”.

Business / Inside The Mind Of Fortune 500 Entrepreneurs by louismarkin: 11:33am On Apr 05, 2015
There is no doubt that one cannot decipher the content of another’s heart, but can certainly tell the state of mind of a person or what they may be thinking by virtue of their behavioral gestures.

It will be great to know that these fortune 500 business millionaires who today have built successful business empires “unwittingly” shares common behavioral characteristics. Let me quickly draw your attention to this fact: just because “fortune 500” is mentioned here, does not mean it is a routine for any successful existing or startup entrepreneur, but in a generic scene it is usually the case.

If you have ever failed before, and learned to plan more successful subsequently, am sure you will agree that you may just be exhibiting one of the habits stated below unknowingly.

These five habits are common with fortune 500 business leaders:

1. They are die-hards and tenacious: From the stories of the likes of Instagram, Google, Konga, PortalS, just to mention a few, you will realize they are strong-willed, tenacious and hardly give up even when the cards seems to be stacked against the odds. They certainly would have their moments; nonetheless, their innermost willpower overwhelms their odds.

2. They are inquisitive: There is this usual saying: “he who asks never misses his way”. Mentorship has proven to be a way one will certainly make fewer or no mistakes based on expert advice from mentors. Be aware that finding the right mentor does not necessarily mean you need to have a one-on-one coaching/interactivity with your desired mentor. You can gain inspiration from their lifestyle or by reading their stories as well.

3. They are people-oriented: When it comes to this aspect, put in mind that at inception of the business they may not be people-oriented; but in an attempt to endear themselves to the people by way of networking, they become aware of their responsibility to ignite their relationship and commitment to the people. Well of course if the purpose of a products / services is to cause chaos, certainly it becomes insignificant.

4. They are conservative: They hardly vie to drive the best cars, wear the mind-blowing outfit, or want to be seen in the most popular places. They sometimes use only a pair of shoes for a long time! Though it does not mean they do not live their lives or engage in social activities, but let us attribute it to Mother Nature as “their new habit after much business adventures”.

5. They are broad-minded and rash: They like to try out new things, unwilling to yield to defeat, like to develop new ideas and consider the current state as quickly fading away. Still referencing the likes of Konga (Shagaya forwent e-motion advertising & Dealday to start-up Konga), Google (Larry attempted to download the entire web onto his PC to study the relevance of web links), Instagram (Kelvin scrapped Burbn almost entirely in order to build an entirely new app from ground up) etc. At some point, entrepreneurs may find themselves doing something they never planned, but in the end, find them just working out.

The comment herein is not intended to condition the minds of every aspiring or existing entrepreneur to the same exact behavior. However, it is not a criterion for success, rather to give an idea of a generic behavioral trait of business leaders.

Business / Failure Does Not Keep You Out, Rather It Helps Success Prevail Through Planning. by louismarkin: 1:11am On Mar 28, 2015
Several times people especially "entrepreneurs" have often asked the question: how is it that a particular firm started? The challenges they went through, their finances and generally their startup story?

The one most key reason why this question pops up is certainly not because Entrepreneurs just want to excite themselves with the information, rather to be inspired, as well as broaden their horizons about venturing into any business.

There is now an online community for you that you can follow and share stories of how brands started, share your own start-up story, as well as learn other strong venture tips. You can start learning about how brands such as Google, Konga, Apple, PortalS, even *Nairaland* (though Coming Soon) all started their business venture.
