TheTravelingOne:
I gave up everything I own and moved here from the states to marry my Nigerian man and build a new life with him. We were long distance for 2 years and I’ve now lived here 2.5 years. We’ve been on/off/on/off most of the time I’ve lived here.
Now finally, we had a come to Jesus with each other and decided to marry, relocate to South Africa and apply for him to live in the US. He left going to SA, saying he’s coming back in 3 weeks. 3 weeks has now turned to 3 months. & now, yesterday he told me he’s not coming back. He said he’s not marrying me and I should marry his eldest brother if I want to marry.
So now I sit here in SHOCK….
I honestly don’t know what to do. His family is also shocked.
While he’s there, a few weeks ago, I caught him with a girl on IG, which he denies.
We’ve had our ups and downs but I honestly never thought he would outright abandon me in Nigeria while he goes to another country. What kind of person does this
I’m still trying to pick myself up off the floor.

& before you say scam. I felt like I knew him since being together for 4 years, I believe he truly loved me but something happened since he went to SA. Maybe the girl I found him with or maybe he just decided he doesn’t want me after all. And that’s fine but this isn’t the way you leave someone, abandoning them in Nigeria.
Luckily for me, his family is supportive and helpful.
Otherwise I’d be 100% lost.
I’m just venting because honestly I’m in shock & hurting.

Greatzeus:

Show us any proof that you were in his employment or that you ever transacted business on his behalf and that he has ever paid you before and that he is owing you now.
Not everyone here is a kid like most nairalanders. We think before we comment on issues.
One month old account even, yea right.. undecided
you can search his name on nairaland here Pelumi Akinsete, you will see someone else has talked about him before now, I can't be uploading if you choose not to believe, my December salary has not been paid, what would I gain from tarnishing his image, but I'm talking to some NGO, but my mentor asked me to leave him to karma, he will do it to someone who will deal with him, you can search on twitter too, he is there

Career / Commercial Bank Google Form Receipt by Lucian565: 4:21pm On Jan 26
Hello everyone please I got a google form receipt, and it shows my performance with a bank I applied for, it also shows I'm recommended for hire, but I think the mail was a mistake because I felt it should be sent to some management staffs but I got it, and I was relating to one of the staffs there, and when I mentioned it, she sounds surprised, I saw that I was recommend for hire with my expected salary but I'm afraid, this shouldn't be the reason I'll not get the job, anyone with similar experience or hr in the house please help someone ooooo.
Career / We Haven't Been Payed Yet by Lucian565: 4:22pm On Dec 29, 2023
Hello everyone i created this account to remain anonymous, I will go straight to the point, the issues is that i work in a Microfinance bank and we have not been payed, I feel like discussing it with my boss, but someone who asked for her salary was sacked, I love my job and I will like to keep the job, I do my job well and im quite good and successful at it, I got this offer alongside another offer but this one is closer to my house so i decided to take this, I don't know if there's something I can do and how to approach my boss and not offend her, although we didn't disburse any loan for sometimes now putting myself on the ownership view, we are running at loss already, but imagine celebrating Xmas without pay and new year is almost here without pay too, I feel if i can get an NGO to help fight the course and pay me and also for the opportunities I have missed, like 5 years salary because i believe we are being regulated and if we made excess profit we wont be paid more than our salary, my head just full, i didn't buy Xmas cloth neither sent money home for my son and my mom, I'm trobled by this even, i jusy dont know what to do.
