Politics / Re: Part Of Buhari's Legacy Still Standing The Test Of Time (pictures) by Lumyboi(m): 12:16pm On Nov 28, 2014
ogb5:
legacy indeed. Incase you do not know the Injustice Buhari committed against southerners while at the helm of the PTF, let me reproduce the submission to the Oputa panel on his conduct at PTF. Read below the Afenifere submission to the oputa panel, maybe you will know a little more about your idol, Buhari and that he really does not care about any southerner.

"PTF Projects: The Abacha regime created a parallel government through the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) headed by Major General Muhammed Buhari. Nothing else typifies the marginalisation of the Yoruba than the lopsidedness of the projects carried out by the PTF. Figures from PTF Situation Reports (Vol. 2 Dec. 98) show that the PTF carried on as if there was no South West.

Of all the roads rehabilitated by he PTF, only 1984.5 kilometres of roads representing 10.84 per cent were carried out in the South West; from where the bulk of the PTF revenue came since the zone consumes over 60 per cent of refined petroleum products. All the Southern States had 4,440.43 kms or 24 per cent of road rehabilitation as against 13,870.47 kms or 76 per cent in the Northern States zone three comprising the North-West States of Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara had a lion share of 5020 kms or 27.42 per cent because the Fund’s Chairman, Buhari and the military dictator Sani Abacha were from there; zone four comprising the North-East States of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe picked 23.48 per cent. This is the zone where Salihijo Ahmed, the late Chief Executive of Afri-Project Consortium APC, the sole consultants that supervised all PTF projects came from.

Figures in other sectors were more scandalous. For instance, under the National Health and Educational Rehabilitation Programme (NHERP), the South West had zero allocation in the tertiary programme, while the North picked 100 per cent. In the vocational programme, the South West had zero while the North had 97 per cent. In the primary area, the South-West had zero against 88 per cent for the North and in the secondary area, it was zero for the South-West and 86 per cent for the North.

The health sector is similar. For the Teaching Hospitals, the South-West had zero while the North had 62 per cent. For the Specialist Hospitals, it was zero for the South-West and 71 per cent for the North; in General/State Hospitals the Yoruba had nothing while the North had 56 per cent for health clinics, it was zero for the South-West against the North’s 100 per cent.

Under the food supply summary, the Southwest had 7.26 per cent compared with 83 per cent for the North, Buhari’s zone having 60.54 per cent to itself."

At least so many roads done in Nigeria. Prolly he can improve on that. We now have someone whose only achievement is corruption and protecting corruption. Under pdp I can't remember any reasonable road done. The road to the capital of Nigeria has bn under repairs for almost 10years....what exactly are they trying to build on the road. The only development in my opinion under 16years of pdp is mayb communication, thanks to the private investors (even tho they stil scam us). We don't deserve those bunch of thieves

The cycle of corruption would continue has long has 90% of Nigerians both literate and ilitrates behave like Idiots and imbeciles.....How can you explain a Nigeria with a professorship degree still believing The major reason for voting an individual into an position is Ethnicity or Religion....There seem to be a Nigerian factor that affects the intelligence of majority of Nigerians. After voting thugs, illitrates and criminals into positions of Authority we turn around and complain they are stealing and embezling...smh
We voted an illitrate into the Position of President and we are complaining the Economy is going bad, the Government is talking of Austerity measures without talking of reduces the Huge cost of salaries and allowances of Government officials.....May God help the country before it explodes

It's seriously strange. As if something is fundamentally wrong with the brain of a typical Nigerian. We would support an obvious criminal cos of religious bias or ethnic bias....and so we have lost our sense of judgement between right and wrong. Most of the politicians are just a reflection of an average Nigerian mentality of power and money at all cost without working ...to oppress the people around so they can b seen as gods

The cost of the whole terminal 1A is US$72.3 million (Kshs6.3 billion), that's might be quite a bit according to Kenyan standards since our GDP is only US$55 Billion and government expenditure is only US$20 Billion. By Nigerian starndards, with 72.3 million dollars, you wont even feel a pinch. in Addition, the cost of the furniture and interior design of the two lounges (Simba and Pride lounge) cost only about 2 million.

I tel u smtin man, that amount is not enough to build a governor's lodge in my country. Haha cheesy

The worst thing that would happen to Nigeria is for APC to win the election in 2015. I have watched with dismay how this people celebrate any seemingly negative news about Nigeria, be it security, economy etc. They play politics with so much hatred, bitterness & desperation. This is not the way opposition politics of patriotic leftist should be.I'm sorry to say this, but this people are plain evil & are only desperate for power at the centre. Any honest Nigerian & non Nigerian alike who used our airports few years back & now knows their has been a huge improvement, time was when we used to be at the base of any ranking. The truth is that Nigeria is gradually becoming great again after years of the locust. Any discerning & patriotic Nigerian knows that Jonathan is trying despite the great conspiracy & unmitigated blackmail against his government.

I guess we all have different ways of assessment. But I will like u to point out to one good thing that is worth celebrating since u claim opposition is fast at celebrating criticism of dis govt.
Also no amount of blackmail can deter a srz leader if e really wants to work. All I see in this govt is corruption, more corruption and blaming games.
No insults pls. Jst my opinion

What more can l say since this news seems to be making somepeople day
For goodness sake this is bad rating that calls for questioning from every nigerian l meean how did they arrive at this, what criteria was used in this rating
And for those calling gej and stella odua l have some questions for you
1.Was those airports fg says to have renovated the way it is before the renovation
2.Iiiis there any improvement in those airports either little, fair or big?
Am not talking about it being word standard but the little improvement has to appreciated
If every govt after the built of those airports did even little to what this govt has done l don't still think they will rated this worse
And for those claiming nigeria have not made any progress for the pass 10yrs are you guys for real?

Lets forget tribalism. It's obvious this govt is so much in support of corruption. N to your questions ...I have never been to ph airport. Bt the MMIA I know of very well, there is no improvement, especially with the funds they claim to have spent which we all know they embezzled. If every govt spends that much on airports with so little or no improvement m sure we wnt have money for other things. Tel me one improvement u have seen in MMIA....the elevators r stil more or less staircases...it's always hot ...it's just sad and ridiculous

Why should entrepreneurs bear the brunt for a corrupt and clueless govt !!! Instead of govt to ramp up strategy on increasing its export profile it thinks taxing successful people is a way to make up for Macro economics deficits its forseeing ...For 15 years there was a boom yet we don't have a single refinery.. If we did falling oil prices won't affect us much as we would have made up by exporting refined products , and besides we need to do more to export more gas as it is even more profitable than crude

That's the normal thing in a decent country. U tax the rich well to Tkia of others. If u have enough money to run 3private jets then u shld b useful to the society. The only problem with this govt is the cash will end up in one ministers account. Or they buy Anoda bomb-proof car

That your argument is nt so accurate. Agreed most doctors have horrible writings...however, most times they use medical abbreviations and shortened forms, it's not for a patient anyway. It's for another health care worker to read. So it's basically u not been able to decipher. If u ask for wot any doc wrote for u am sure he or she will explain.

People are just talking nonsense. I have heard of people being molested in an office. Going to visit a man doesn't warrant molestation. It is wrong and only an animal would think that way. To even think a fellow woman is saying the same thing some men are saying. Says so much about such a person's character.

Married couples of today, did they all meet only in crowded places. At some point or the other they must have been in secluded places e.g in both parties home. Does it grant any of them the right to molest themselves. I am ashamed of some women and some men here. Hypocrites. They are d sort of people that blame rape victims.

Keep talking rubbish until it comes close to home. You all think u are wise abi. Wait till it happens to you or ur blood. Then u go no how far.

Molestation is wrong no doubt but these uni babes take a lot of risks. N if we will be sincere enough with ourselves we know how these things go. Do you visit people you don't knw so well at home. What if smtin worse happened! Any1 can form saint and civil but we all know most times these babes just try to b smart. Sorry for her sha.
