Max24:
It's obvious that the people of Kano prefer this Bayero guy to Sanusi but the gov and Kwankwaso are using their political power to impose Sanusi. While I am not against Sanusi, I think the peoples will should be allowed to stand.

Nothing is obvious, bro, the thing is sharply divided along political lines, with NNPP members showing support for Sanusi amd their APC counterparts supporting Bayero. It is just an unfortunate situation that will turn the traditional stool into a 4-year tenureship, depending on the party ruling the State. Brothers brought this destruction to their heritage.

The FG shouldn't spend from LG allocations. In states where there are no LGA chairmen, save the money in an account where it yields interests until it is disbursed. Don't use their money to pursue your political agenda.

The money would surely be paid in arrears.

So another 8 years of a norther after PMB sounds like equity and fairness in a multiethnic country like Nigeria to you?

It's not fair ooo, we now have Tinubu, a Southerner, that's fair at least right?

Skydivine:
Someone that should have been the Vice President by now, but their collective hate and delusional superior over the Igbos clouded his rational reasoning. He did not want to be an Igbo man’s VP!
Even when he knew quite well that PMB had already taken their slot. Yet he insisted that Obi must be his running mate. Who does that?

Obi should've been the VP to Atiku by now, but his ego and rush, thinking he's arrived, made him defect to LP, with no victory in the end. Kwankwaso's ambition was not to win the Presidential election, but the Kano State Governorship, which he did.

So is the gap not close?

Under Buhari, the black market rate was #750 while the official market was #450. A huge difference of #300

But we were still affording to buy bags of rice, cars and other exotic things, now even the basics are not affordable, how is that a progress?

Can you kindly point where in my comment I made this claim?

The expression you used, "closing the gap" between two things may mean reducing the gap or totally eliminating it. Regardless of which of the two you were referring to, the FX policy of the present administration was just like moving one step forward and then one step backward, but failing to get back to the starting point.

Before the policy came, a dollar was exchanging for about N700, then boom the Naira was floated, and that sent the exchange rate to the ceiling and there was no stopping it. After realising that won't work, they now reintroduced the control (not allowing the Naira to determine its value), but we have yet to return to where we were before.

The gap between the black market and the official market has been close.

That's the benefit.

You mean as at today, the official amd parallel market rates are the same?

It's expected to fall after we devalued our currency twice.

I will love to see the GDP in naira for the last 15 years.

Egypt was ahead of south Africa before, but after devaluing their currency, the SA took over the Egyptian position

What then are the benefits of the devaluation?

Robots can kill..... doesn't make them animals

...

U are denying evidence because of ordinary sex...Our cognitive function is too advance for u to refer to us as mere animals .... Yes our genetic codes are similar making us behave similar in some primal level ...still doesn't make us exactly same..... If we are mere animals why is rape a crime...?? Why is murder a crime....

With a single shepherd, animals behave in a relatively coordinated manner. The laws and law enforcers make humans (animals) adhere to rules such as the labelling of rape and murder as crimes. When you remove the law enforcers for an hour, you'd be shocked as to what people would do. Even you, your brain would push you to do unimaginable things

But at the end of the day we are not mere animals.. I mean we are the specie that can make planes, mobile phones, etc.... and that's why we operate by rules which are in place for reasons..yeah...they might not be fair sometimes ..I agree....But the rules sometimes help.....

We are animals, sir, that's why we kill each other in large scale. Our innovative skills cannot mask our beastly nature.

Just for u to get home to your own woman...u call that extreme self denial and pretense...

Lol

Don't get me wrong ooo, I'm not advocating for non-consensual coitus but discrimination against people over consensual sex is not fair. In this case for instance, the woman enjoyed her sexcapade on two occasions, only for her to report him later, for her own reasons. So people condemning him for having such a consented sex are not fair to him, because he's just obeying nature.

God forbid this kind of gender. No sham at all.
Why men can't control their sexual urge still an unsolved puzzle.

God gave men higher sexual urge so that they can chase women for pro-creation. If both men amd women were given the same sexual urge, none will make the first move. Any claim of self-control is nothing but extreme self-denial and pretense. We are nothing but animals, who claim to be social. Remove the public pretense and see how randy many people are.

All these are fire brigade short-cut measures to treat symptoms of a collapsing economy.

We must go back to the basics - fight corruption & insecurity, provide stable power and other stimulants to boost local production, industry & agriculture.

You hit the nail on the head, and in addition, cut wasteful spendings.

Just imagine the money thatbis about to be wasted for purchasing brand new latest Lexus Jeeps for the new 469 lawmakers at the National Assembly. And remember, it's our hard-earned Foreign Exchange that will be used to purchase the vehilces.

It's barely 4 years that the same set of vehicles were purchased for the 9th Assembly laemakers, but those vehicles have now been auctioned (dashed) to lucky winners with connection.

I doubt if the almighty Briton wr look up to purchases vehicle for every set of laemakers, after every election year.
