Hi everyone,
My siblings received their passport back today and the visa was refused. Just wanted to let you all know. I will probably cancel all my birthday plans as I really wanted to celebrate with my siblings. Thank you all for all your help.

You need to make photocopies of all the original documents you will be going there with, as no documents will be returned except your international passport. Then for the payment to return your passport, you will pay it along with the visa fee at VFS.

Thank you so much for the prompt response. I appreciate.

Hi everyone, do I need to make photocopies of all the documents I'm submitting? Also will they take original doc like marriage cert from me? How do I pay for them to return my passport afterwards?

Hello all,
I'm trying to book group appointment for Abuja first time traveler appointment for 2 people, after I add the first person and try adding the second applicant, the system tells me I have exceeded number of applicants.

Is anyone experiencing same issue? How can O resolve this issue? Thank you

Please I’m about to book my hotel reservation, anything to consider and I’m been asked to put in my debit card to book it ? What do I do please

Select refundable with pay at hotel option. You still need to put in your debit card information but they will not charge you. You will pay at the hotel when you get there. Be mindful of the cancelation window and Remember to cancel if plan changes.

Just an FYI: I emailed Abuja VFS to know if they are accepting first time traveler visa appointment. Response attached.

You can reach out to VFS Abuja via email to find out the true situation of things so they can be allowed to submit on the appointment day.

You can do a part Sponsorship with their flights. They should take care of others . You can do a Bank transfer indicating Flight Payment for Birthday Getaway seperately to their account .

You should include a letter of Sponsorship in regards to the flight bank transfer to them stating that even though they can afford to foot their trip cost, you would want them to have the said amount because you really want them to come celebrate and bond with you.

Remember to include the evidence of this bank transfer.

Thank you so much!

Considered Travel history to an extent. However, first time application to the Schengen region Post Covid era has greatly changed from the norm.

Fully Sponsoring them with little or no travel history may not go down well with the Visa officer.

Thank you for your prompt response. I will try and see how it goes. Do you know if selecting Abuja for first time traveler is ok because it doesn't give you that option to select visa type.
Also my siblings do have substantial account balances though....or should I say they prepaid their flight?

Hello Mama2Gees,

Do your Elder Siblings have any previous travel history?

No. My brother has been to Dubai though but I know that will not be considered as travel history. So the answer is No.

Hi everyone,
I'm applying for France first time traveler for my elder sister and brother, I will be taking care of all travel expenses. Hotel and Flight is fully paid. How do I fill out this part were it says MYSELF? Should I click prepaid like in the screenshot? Or just put my name as the guarantor and then select all that apply?

Also the first time traveler appointment is not available in Lagos, should I select the short/long term visa option in Abuja? It doesn't specify if the person is first time or frequent.

FYI: I'm a US citizen and will not be needing visa, it's my destination birthday celebration and I would like my 2 siblings to join me in Paris.
My sister and brother are both married, my sister 4 kids and my brother's wife is currently pregnant.
The visit is just for 8days.
My sister is a federal worker but my brother owns his own business. My brother uses his personal account for business, will that be a problem if he doesn't have business account?

Also for the additional info, do I need to add more details about my destination birthday celebration details there?
I'm trying to add these to additional info
"My younger sister ****** who resides in United States is having a destination birthday celebration in Paris and is inviting our brother ****** and I to celebrate and tour Paris with her to mark her 37th birthday"
Is the attached verbiage for the additional info ok or tacky?

Any idea and input will be appreciated . Thank you all.
