Drienzia: Without sentiments, performance has little or nothing to do with age. If buhari wants to perform, all he need to do is to listen to sound advice. He must not know everything. Having the best in every area and following good policies will take Nigeria out of the present economic condition |

Tokety7: Really, how then will the election be free and fair when it is holding in the house of one of the contenders. Will he ever loose such an election. In the presence of violence election should be cancelled. Period. In fact that election should be cancelled because it is marred by violence and misconducts. |

justwise: Thank you justwise, We haven't started the process of the dependant visa yet. The mistake was done while the student spouse was filing the visa application form. In the part for spouse name, the student spouse filled in his own name as the name of the spouse. That was a very sincere but silly mistake. Although a marriage certificate was submitted alongside. Presumably, they would have seen the correct name of the spouse. Fast forward to now, the spouse wants to join as a dependant, will they question why the spouse name didn't appear in the student spouses' application form? Also, what are the fate of their children can they also come along? |

Hello nairalanders, Happy new month to everyone on this forum wishing you all the best. I have a question bugging my mind. Can a spouse of a tier 4 (general student) apply for a dependent visa to join the spouse three months after the spouse travelled to uk for schooling? If yes, Secondly, if while filling the tier 4 student visa, the applicant while filling the name of spouse, mistakenly filled his/ her own name, however attached a marriage certificate to prove that he/ she is married. Will this in any way affect the dependant spouse when applying for a dependant visa. Note the spouse could not join initially due to work constraint but is free now to join the spouse. |

negy2016: Not claiming to be a guru buh.. As far as your passport has up to 6months validity, you r good to go. No need to renew it. As for priority service, its for anyone that can afford it. All in all go ahead and apply for your visa |

[quote author=Aaybl post=50873098]Hello Justwise and House...kindly assist with this. I have been denied US student visa 3 times in the past this year before i decided to opt for UK instead. I have gotten my CAS and i am at the application stage. I know i have to state whether i have been denied visas to other countries before which i have done. My question is this: 1. Will this have any negative effect on my application? 2. Do i need to explain in the space given for additional information? I will appreciate all the advice i can get.[/ From a first hand experience, it will not actually affect it unless there is more to it like if you were refused on the ground of previous conviction. Before coming to UK, USA embassy refused me visa. Dont panic. Relax and pray. You will get your visa |

justwise: Waow...its OK if that's the case. I don't need to over stress myself if that's the case. I would rather go for my one year and proceed in my career progression through other means. I want to use this medium to thank everyone justwise, spike c, Bourne ccsspatrick et all. I love you all. |

justwise: No justwise I can still change in UK and continue my studies buh when my visa expires, I would need to exit, get a new cas, pay the work placement fees and be issued a new visa just like spikec said or I can write school officially from here, get a new Cas and process a new visa to cover for the two years. Because my resumption is close, lemme get to UK and take it from there. Meanwhile I asked a question, who knows about their work placement? Is it something you can advice me to go for despite the additional cost that comes with it? Do you think I should take it or leave it? |

For the purpose of benefit to others coming after me, I wish to state that I placed a call to my school today concerning the issue i raised yesterday over work placement and extension of my visa, the school aligned itself with the submission of spicke c. They said that the decision to follow the one year placement should be done at the very beginning which is at the point of admission which will thereafter be reflected on my Cas. As I stand now, I either resume, declare interest in the work placement option which they regard as sandwich and later on leave UK to reapply for another one year or I change my admission entirely and forfeit my admission this year and wait till next year. Men and brethren, I am confused. Spike c, what's the work placement usually like? Lemme know if its worth it. |

Hi everyone. Please I need help. I have gotten my visa for one year and four months. At the point I applied for it, I wasn't aware that my course is two years lemme explain the first year is for academics and the second year is for work placement and its optional. Now my question is this, if I wish to go for the second year which is optional, how do I get my visa extended? If its possible to do, will I need to present any bank statement to that effect? Justwise, et al please help me before I leave Nigeria. |

Dgirl63: From a friend's experience, I think they would want to verify some information you provided which may likely make the process take longer time than the 15day rule. Don't panic. Meanwhile are you a sponsored student? That my friend is tetfund sponsored which made him go with only tetfund sponsorship letter. No money was required to be in his account. For this, they needed to verify both from tetfund and his institution. |
