Politics / I See A Better Legislator In Seriake Dickson Than His Opponent - Comr. Atti by May94(f): 8:29pm On Dec 02, 2020
It's less than a week to the Senatorial Bye-Elections in Bayelsa West and a lot of activities have taken place, ranging from consultations, endorsements, solidarity supports, campaigns etc.

We all know that the Red Chambers of the National Assembly is where representatives from senatorial districts from all states in the federation convene to present issues of utmost importance affecting their people for the sake of national development.

Moving forward, I believe that His Excellency, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson, the immediate past Governor of Bayelsa State has the prerequisites to effectively represent the fabulous characters of Bayelsa West Senatorial District at the Senate, owing to his vibrancy, articulacy and boldness in present issues even in the face of oppression, subjugation and marginalization which the ijaw has suffered in the hands of the Nigerian nation for decades.

Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson being an advocate of restructuring and even development is best fit amongst his opponents as someone who believes in the development of the ijaw Nation .

Furthermore I urge the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to do the needful by conducting a free and fair elections irrespective of the personalities involved and also the security apparatus of the state should put in place necessary mechanisms to ensure that lives and properties are being protected during and after the elections.

Politics / Wilson Ayakpo Should Refrain From Disrespecting Bayelsa West Stakeholders by May94(f): 3:51pm On Jul 27, 2020
Hon. Wilson Ayakpo, member Bayelsa State House of Assembly Should be guided in his utterances, seek caution and refrain from disrespecting Bayelsa West Stakeholders in his mediocre attempt to please his affiliate leader from Bayelsa East.

Firstly let's purge ourselves of any preconceived definition of the concept of this article, and it was written on the basics of pure reasoning, respect for leaders and caution to a contemporary who is towing the line of self political destruction.

Hon. Wilson Ayakpo was inaugurated into the BSHA on the 6th of June 2019 to represent the fabulous characters of Ekeremor Constituency II in the Bayelsa State House Assembly, I was the Secretary of Ekeremor Community Unity forum that advocated that Ekeremor ward 8 should produce the next assembly member and we called on all political parties to key in, hence we took our advocacy to several High Personalities, and when this advocacy was achieved.
I, Comrade Atti J Moses pitched tent to support my Party's Candidate Hon. Grace Ekiottene and also donated a vehicle to support her candidature.

Hon. Wilson Ayakpo as a Young man is someone we the Ekeremor Youths love and respect but his recent utterances may lead him to self political destruction. The Ekeremor Local Government area Youths are known for their respect for constituted authorities and abide by agreement no matter what. Wilson Disrespected Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri who single handedly delivered him, calling him all sort of names because he wanted to display to Chief Timipre Marlin Sylva the Honourable Minister of Petroleum (State) that he is Loyal, “If you want to show loyalty to your master you have to display intellectual capacity not by insulting your kinsmen".

Well, him insulting and disrespecting Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri is their party affairs even though Sen. Lokpobiri is a well respected leader not only in Ekeremor but Bayelsa West and no legitimate Youth of Ekeremor has gotten the effrontery to insult him the way Wilson is doing, someone who is an alien to Ekeremor politics no wonder he is saying there is no zoning formula because of his ambition of contesting the Senate elections after spending over 365 unproductive days in office as a Legislator with the obscurity surrounding a return ticket.

He should use his office as a Legislator to attract development to the Constituency, in his over One year in office he has not executed any project neither has he brought any blue print for well meaning persons to key in.

For the fact that we the Youths of Ekeremor Constituency II has not called him to give an account of Stewardship should not make him feel too relaxed to the extend of waking sleeping lions who choose to mind their business because a day of reckoning is coming when he will be under duress to give an account of Stewardship.

As Youths of Ekeremor LGA we will no longer tolerate his Incessant Insult on Leaders of the LGA and Senatorial District at large, his recent unguided utterances targeted at Bayelsa West Political Stakeholders and His Excellency Hon. Seriake Dickson who is a Chieftain of PDP and an Incoming Senator Bayelsa West calls for immediate reaction.

Hon. Seriake Dickson ambition does not disenfranchise anybody, hence anyone who is interested in contesting should do so without insulting anybody, all sons and daughters of Bayelsa west has the political suffrage in the next Senatorial Bye Elections in Bayelsa west so there is no need for Mr. Wilson to panic over the endorsements that the former Governor is getting.

I would have called on his Leaders to caution him but he is currently leaderless because even the Chief Timipre Sylva that he is pledging false allegiance to, does not trust trust him because of his unstable character.

Crime / NAWOJ Bayelsa Raises Concern Over Increasing Rape Cases by May94(f): 8:52am On May 07, 2020
The Nigeria Association Of Women Journalists, NAWOJ Bayelsa State Chapter is concerned about the increasing rate of rape in the state.

Only in the last one week, there has been 3 cases involving 3 minors in Yenagoa over the ages of 8,9 and 14.

While the 8 and 9 year old were defiled by their neighbours, the 14year old was raped by armed robbers in the presence of her family before valuables were carted away.

It is very unfortunate and disturbing that at a time such as this when humanity is grappling with the Covid-19 pandemic which has also given rise to other challenges, inhumane acts are meted on the defense less and vulnerable in society.
This is cruelty at its peak.

NAWOJ condemns these acts and called on government relevant agencies to take steps to stem the tide.

For emphasis, NAWOJ will not hesitate to take appropriate actions against persons found wanting irrespective of political, religious affiliations, ethnic or social status..

While NAWOJ is aware of the numerous huddles in prosecuting perpetrators of crimes such as Rape,
Parents, Caregivers and Guardians of Children should take extra measures to monitor, protect their wards.

It is also important not to hesitate in reporting such to relevant authorities and agencies to ensure proper medical examination and support apart from preventing sexually transmitted diseases so the law can take its cause and ensure that justice is served.

While we call on security operatives to double efforts at surveillance, apprehending and prosecution of criminals, citizens must take responsibility always as safeguarding lives and property is a collective task.

Politics / The Need For Bayelsa Youth Engagement, Employment And Empowerment Program(byeep) by May94(f): 12:20pm On May 06, 2020
Bayelsa State was Created on 1st October 1996, I was less than 10 then but I experienced old Rivers State, I know the roles played by TK Ogoriba, Oronto Douglass, Alfred Diete Spiff, Melford Okilo former Members of old Rivers State in the foundational stage of the state, the Likes of Chief TKO Okorotie and others were Critical Stakeholders as the Pioneer SA Political to the First Executive Governor of Bayelsa State.

Bayelsa State is 24 years old and we still don’t have a pragmatic Plan for our Youths, individuals has also thwarted Government efforts geared towards Youth Development in the past, thence We shouldn’t blame the Government alone.

There Need to be a Blue Print on Youth Development in Bayelsa State, that will guard all Government activities for the year, and there will be possibilities of Partners and Sponsors and if this happens the Government will Spend less on Youth Development and achieve more.

There can be a program or project that Should be designed specifically for the Youth not impostors claiming Youths, and this program should be able to capture major areas of Youths interest. Like Sports, Agriculture, Entertainment, Military, Politics, Scholarship/Education, Sciences etc.

I propose that there should be a program called Bayelsa State Youth Engagement and Employment Program (BYEEP).
This I will expatiate on a latter paragraph, BYEEP will/should be flexible and open to partnership and sponsorships, with a responsible Government we can achieve this.
We can build the Bayelsa State Youth of our dream If we are ready “its not Rocket Science” we need Concerted efforts directed at Youth Development for the Good of all, even if you are not a Youth, your children are/were Youths hence we are all Critical Stakeholders in Youth Development.

The Bayelsa state Youth Engagement, Employment and Empowerment program is targeted at the development of the State Youth in all Sectors of societal advancement so as to build the capacities of Our Youths to be worthy ambassadors of the state and factors in the Development of our dear State and stand tall amongst their peers in other climes.

BYEEP should have the following Features.

1. Entertainment: Entertainment has placed so many cities on the world map making them an haven for tourists and foreign investors, the drive Bayelsa State Youths have in the Entertainment sector is second to non, I have watched so many talents die in Bayelsa State as a result of State Negligence.

2. Sports: Bayelsa State has produced world class footballers, wrestlers and swimmers like Samson Siasia, Daniel Igali etc but this is not reflected in our sporting sector, So many Youths that have passion for sports have resorted to sports gambling due to lack of proper orientation and direction of Passion, one of our youths has climbed a Telecommunication mast to its peak with a ball on his head, swam across a river with a ball on his head, rode a bicycle with a ball on his head for kilometers. We need to employ experts to explore the Sporting potentials of our youths .

3. Scholarships/Education: We have some categories of Youths in this state that are only interested in acquiring Knowledge they are not after pleasures but lectures that will build their intellectual Capacity they just want to have all the degrees and possibly become lecturers or writers, there are others who just need a Higher Institution Certificate to be satisfied with Government efforts and get themselves established.

4. Skill Acquisition/Entrepreneurship: Our youths need to be genuinely admitted and trained on Various Skills like Shoe making, Makeup and tailoring, Barbing and Laundry, Mechanic, Food production etc .

5. Agriculture: Though I studied Philosophy but I have a Certificate in Integrated Agriculture from a renowned institution, I have also executed a contract on that basics so I’m an authority in it. We have A 35,000 birds capacity Farm in Sagbama, An Aquaculture village in Yenegwe with over 500 ponds, the then Commissioner of Agriculture, Hon. Doodei Week said it can generate up to 3.5 billion Annually and employ up to 4 thousand Youths. and a cassava processing factory which according to the former Governor is the most equipped and biggest in Africa, all fully equipped with modern facilities but no proper management, we need serious minded persons to be given the mantle of leadership in these farms so that our youths can be engaged. These farms can feed 20% of Bayelsa State, and engage up to 20,000 Youths that can live a responsible life with it. Our Bayelsa Palm can sustain the Economy of an LGA in Bayelsa State if pragmatically utilized, we also need a cassava village in a very large hectare of land. The by-product of cassava is much, they don’t only have nutritional value but pharmaceuticals its one of the most sort after plant in the world currently, not forgetting other areas of agriculture.
6. Politics: Our youths are very much interested in Politics and this is obvious with the passions and energy they exert on Youth activism and Student Unionism, Recognized and Reputable Students and Youth Organizations should be supported and carried along in all Government activities and expose them to leadership activities, key them into the policy and programs of the administration, every recognized Youth body should be supported to organize an annual program .

7. Military: Some of Our youths are interested in serving in the Nigeria Military and Other National Security outfits.
We need to give our best hands in all sectors. A team of retired Military officers should be mandated with a board known as Bayelsa State Military Recruitment Board (BMRB) they should over see the preliminary recruitment process of our Youths, their welfare on camps and post service welfare for personnel.

8: Bayelsa State Youth Employment Board: This board should create, attract and identify opportunities for youth employment, engagement and empowerment.

9. Bayelsa State Youth House (BSYH): The Bayelsa State Youth house will have Secretariats for all Recognized and Reputable Youth Bodies in the state NYCN, IYC, NYP, NUBSS, NUIS, NIDSUG, NANS this will give the Youth Bodies and members a senses of responsibility as critical stakeholders of the State, this will also enable them to carry out the administrative activities of their union effectively.

The Bayelsa State Youth Engagement employment and empowerment project is in view and we will discuss on each of the 10 features on a later date.

I know His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri is a Youth Oriented Governor hence, I urge him to engineer the building process of the Bayelsa State Youth of our dream.

Politics / NDDC: Why President Buhari Should Sack Akpabio, Dissolve Imc –NDIDRA (Rejoinder) by May94(f): 7:38am On Apr 24, 2020
This is a rejoinder to the recent Press Statement written, signed and published by Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei, Ag. Managing Director, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, Ag. Executive Director, Project, and Chief Etang Ibanga, Ag. Executive Director, Finance & Administration, all of them being members of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), in defense of Chief Godswill Akpabio, the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and the supervising Minister for the NDDC, on corruption allegations levelled against him.

The Press Statement is, no doubt, an attempt to respond to a number of publications and petitions written by the Niger Delta Ijaw Development and Response Assembly (NDIDRA) against the backdrop of the ongoing corrupt practices in the NDDC under the stewardship of Chief Godswill Akpabio, which has refused to abate. This rejoinder is therefore to restate the position of the NDIDRA concerning the corruption allegations as the IMC’s Press Statement woefully failed to address the issues.
In doing this, the NDIDRA will advance further evidence to prove the corruption allegations against Chief Godswill Akpabio and sustain the call for his sack and the disbandment of the IMC.
But before dwelling on that in details, the NDIDRA will like to place on record that it has no pecuniary interest in mind for this battle against the squandering of public funds, most particularly those of the NDDC. The NDDC is a product of a ‘People’s Struggle’ – the ‘Ijaw Struggle’ and was not gotten on a platter of gold. Lives were lost and those of us alive must protect it for the betterment of all the people of the region.

We are therefore neither the group scared of the outcome of a non-existent forensic audit because we are not NDDC contractors; nor the group described as professional trouble makers seeking for attention because we have never had cause to fight any management, as there has been no NDDC management as corrupt as this; nor the group described as online publishers out to extort money from the NDDC management because we are not journalists and do not own a blog with which news are published. We are simply Ijaw people who took part in the Ijaw Struggle and played different roles to see that the Ijaw people have a better deal in the affairs of the country called Nigeria. And the NDDC is one of the outcomes of that struggle.
On the specific allegations of corruption, the position of the NDIDRA is that the establishment of the IMC, masterminded by Chief Godswill Akpabio, is itself an infringement on the law that governs the running of the NDDC. It is therefore a misnomer and must be disbanded. We demand that a Board be constituted. This is not a call for negotiation and settlement. The laws of our land must be obeyed, be it at the Federal, State, or Local Government levels and, even in a quasi government. We make bold to say that the much-touted forensic audit in the NDDC is a ruse hence the pilfering of funds is going on at a much larger scale now than ever. We shall, in the course of this rejoinder, provide copious evidence to substantiate this assertion. And if the Federal Government and its anti-graft agencies, in this instance, fail to protect the law, we, the people of the Niger Delta, will take actions we deem fit, to protect and preserve the NDDC from total collapse.
We have, in order to put the records straight and counter the fallacies concocted by the IMC in its Press Statement, reproduced Chief Akpabio’s specific financial impropriety against the Commission and the people of the Niger Delta.

CONTRACT FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE NDDC PERMANENT SITE: On assumption of office, Chief Akpabio hurriedly visited the site for the NDDC Head office project and announced March, 2020 as the project completion timeline. In the Press Statement, the IMC suggested that Marshland Nig. Ltd, the initial contractor, brought the project to 50% completion level. What they did not tell us is how much Marshland received as payment for the 50% job done. The records show that Marshland received the sum of N4b to bring the project to 50% completion and was demanding for additional N4b only, to complete the project. The IMC did not also disclose the contract sum for the completion of the remaining 50% of the project. The team of NDDC engineers empanelled by the Commission to re-evaluate the project pegged the cost at N6b and recommended the likes of Julius Berger to complete the project; just N2b above what the initial contractor, Marshland, demanded. Nsima Ikere, who happened to be the MD at the time, jettisoned this recommendation and reassigned the contract to Rodnab (Rodnap) Construction Ltd at a whopping sum of N16b. The IMC made a futile attempt to refute the cozy relationship between Chief Godswill Akpabio, Nsima Ikere and Rodnab. It is of public knowledge that Nsima Ikere contested the 2019 Akwa-Ibom governorship election but lost. Did Chief Akpabio support Nsima Ikere in this election? Yes, he did. Chief Akpabio used Messrs. Rodnab Construction Ltd for most projects in Akwa-Ibom State when he was the governor. That is the relationship between Chief Akpabio, Nsima Ikere and Rodnab. Rodnab had received close to N10.4b before Chief Akpabio took full control of the scheme. Upon assumption, Chief Akpabio paid Rodnab the sum of N2.6b and gave March, 2020 as the project completion deadline.

Towards the end of March, 2020, the current IMC paid Rodnab another N3b, bringing the total sum received by Rodnab to N16b, representing the total contract sum. Is it normal to pay a contractor the full contract sum when the contract is 95% complete as claimed by the IMC? What happens to the 6% retention as required by law and practice? The IMC, in its Press Statement, failed to address that. Rather, it went ahead to make another hollow argument to defend their master by saying that Chief Akpabio was the PDP Minority Leader in the Senate at the time this contract and other shady deals took place, and that he could not have had a hand in those deals initiated and packaged by appointees of the APC led government. We like to remind them that, by this time, Chief Akpabio was only a member of the PDP at day time but an APC member at night. This is because he was already having major disagreements with the Governor of Akwa-Ibom state at that time, and it was more than obvious that he wouldn’t work for the incumbent PDP Governor, and Nsima Ekere knows that. Hence, he effortlessly decamped to the APC. You should also recall that Chief Akpabio was facing corruption charges proffered against him by the EFFC but had the prosecution preposterously dropped or suspended as soon as he decamped to the APC.

CONTRACTS FOR CLEARING OF WATER HYACINTHS: On assumption of office as the supervising Minister for the NDDC, Chief Apkabio openly, on camera, directed Mrs. Akwagaga the Acting Managing Director at the time, to pay contracts for clearing of Water Hyacinths. He collected N1.9b and within two weeks interval, he collected another N700m. In the Press Statement under reference, the IMC claimed that youths protested against the non-payment of contracts for clearing of water hyacinths, hence he advised the Commission to pay the sum of N1.9b. If we may ask, what has youths got to do with contracts for clearing of water hyacinths that will warrant a youths’ protest. Are water hyacinth contracts a part of youth empowerment programme that the Commission has wasted over N65b on? This argument is least expected from people whose academic background and educational qualifications we do not intend to interrogate. If youths were to organize such manner of protests, it will be against the abandoning of the East-West Road Project directly under the control of the Niger Delta Ministry. Out of the N18b payment the IMC claimed it has made so far to contractors, roughly 20% are for phantom water hyacinths and River De-silting, and 80% for bogus Emergency contracts, leaving out road and land reclamation projects and the likes, that our people are in dire need of.

CONTRACTS FOR THE SUPPLY OF LASSVA FEVER EQUIPMENT: The IMC claims that these contracts were awarded and the contracts closed out before Chief Akpabio became the supervising Minister for the Commission. That is another failed lie! For the avoidance of doubt, we have released for publication NDDC’s internal memos to show that the contracts were awarded in 2019, by which time Chief Akpabio has resumed duty as the supervising Minister. The document marked as “Hi” is a document which shows that the said contracts were awarded in 2019, some without budget cover and others, exceeding budget limits, and are “to be captured in 2020 budget”.

This is a practice every appropriation law forbids. In the document, it is suggested that these items be smuggled into the 2020 budget, meaning that the Commission did anticipatory spending. The document marked as “Hiii” shows that the contracts were paid for in the year 2020.

These are payments for; Maternal Delivery Kits at -N1,128,750,000.00, Cholera Vaccines at -N680,000,000.00, Lassa Fever Protective Kits at -N1,092,283,500.00 and Outstanding Science Equipment at -N292,764,832.50, all amounting to N4b (-N4,096,798,332.50) also shown in the document marked ‘Hvi’. These items were never supplied.

So the argument that the equipment was supplied and distributed before Chief Akpabio came in does not exonerate him from culpability. After all, he is the one touting a forensic audit whose job it is to unearth the wrong doings of contractors and staff of the Commission. We insist that no equipment was supplied. If the Commission did, the general public should have known. Chief Akpabio, through phoney contracts, collected the over N4b for materials that were not supplied.
1. N5.5B CONTRACT FOR COVID-19 SENSITIZATION: In a letter dated 6th April, 2020, this current IMC awarded a contract for the “Emergency Procurement of Specialized Medical Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) for Health Workers and Provision of Community based Sensitization Campaign Against the Spread of COVID-19 and other Communicable Diseases in the Nine States of the Niger Delta Region” at the sum of N5, 474,647,125.00. How was it possible to gather people in 2,775 communities in the Niger Delta region for sensitization 15 days into the lockdown? Is this not ridiculous? That is the callousness exhibited by the IMC. Hence, we have said, and are still saying that there has been no management in the history of the Commission that has been as corrupt as this IMC supervised by Chief Akpabio. We leave the reading public to decipher a guess as to the motive behind this contract. Remember, we are in a lockdown across the country and people are advised to stay at home. We are waiting in our homes to receive the contractor and his team for the sensitization exercise for which a whopping approximately N5.5b contract has been awarded. The document marked “M” is the contract award letter published for the public to see.

Politics / Sen. Douye Diri Should Capitalize On Aquaculture To Curb Hunger, Unemployment by May94(f): 1:29pm On Apr 22, 2020
Public opinion they says is what shapes government policies and programs. Hence, I beg to air my view as we progress in the prosperity government.

Covid-19 is no longer new to us despite the fact that we don’t have any victim now in Bayelsa state which is the handiwork of God. It is also notable to give accolades to the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State for his proactive measures towards the control of the dreaded virus.

Nonetheless, Government is continuity and tenure is measured in addition to attendant challenges predominant in every adminstration with different appellation. The trust Bayelsans have in Sen. Douye Diri is divine and I know he will meet up with the expectations. The Slogan of the Douye Diri led Administration is “Prosperity” added to the Fact the 2020 State Appropriation bill which was Presented by his Excellency in the BYHA is christened “Consolidation for Prosperity 2020”.

His Excellency’s blueprint should be Youth Development and Agriculture because that’s the only thing that will keep us on our feet to tackle the dreaded virus and also to keep the Government going prosperously.

The Bayelsa State Government should gather a team of young farmers, agriculturists, aquaculture engineers, fish feed producers, fingerlings producers, broad stock rearers, farm managers etc. to work in our aquaculture village devoid of politic sentiment or segregation.

http://may94.com/2020/04/20/obey-government-laws-stay-safe-avoid-public-places-comr-atti-j-moses/

Our 500 fish ponds in Bayelsa State Aquaculture village situated at Yenegwe which was built and Commissioned by our Former Contri-man Governor to engage Bayelsa State Youths was not actualized due to poor management. Hence, I’m calling on the Douye Diri Led Government to capitalize on our aquaculture village which can engage up 3000 Bayelsa State youths that will feed us and our neighboring states with fish as long as possible if properly managed.

The aquaculture village contains.

Due to the effects and control measures of the State and Nation at large most of our Youths have lost their job or retrenched by their employers, on that account, I know that if the above issue is being given due consideration we will have foods to bank on and also prevent our youths from going into crimes.

–500 fish ponds
–Hatchery
–Fish feed production factory
–Fish processing factory
–Warehouse etc.

Politics / Obey Government Laws, Stay Safe, Avoid Public Places - Comr. Atti J. Moses by May94(f): 11:46am On Apr 20, 2020
A brief background of Coronavirus exposes that the Human coronaviruses were discovered in the 1960s. The earliest ones studied were from human patients with the common cold, which were later named human coronavirus 229E and human coronavirus OC43. They were first imaged by Scottish Virologist, June Almeida at St. Thomas Hospital in London.

The coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) is a highly transmittable and pathogenic viral infection caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which emerged in Wuhan, China and spread around the world.
Coronaviruses belong to the Coronaviridae family in the Nidovirales order. Corona represents crown-like spikes on the outer surface of the virus thus, it was named as a coronavirus. Coronaviruses are minute in size (65–125 nm in diameter) and contain a single-stranded RNA as a nucleic material.

Recently at the end of 2019, Wuhan an emerging business hub of China experienced an outbreak of a novel coronavirus that killed more than 1600 persons and infected over seventy thousand individuals within the first fifty days of the epidemic. Health / Bayelsa State Should Go Into The Production Of Covid-19 Hand Sanitizers And Sell by May94(f): 10:14am On Mar 24, 2020
Following the outbreak of the world most dreaded virus that spreads and kills at will originating from Wuhan in China. Many believes the world is coming to an end and its in the Bible including Nostradamus a French Astrologer Predictions in his book Less Prophetes , others thinks is political while for a few its a natural virus and a Pandemic, epidemic diseases like
Chikungunya
Cholera
Crimean-Congo, haemorrhagic fever
Ebola virus disease
Hendra virus infection
Influenza (pandemic seasonal, zoonotic)
Lassa fever
Marburg virus disease
Meningitis
MERS-CoV
Monkeypox
Nipah virus infection
Novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV)
Plague
Rift Valley fever
SARS
Smallpox
Tularaemia
Yellow fever
Zika virus disease etc.

In every problem or demand in the world every state has a comparative advantage and the problem currently facing the world and has taken thousands of lives in less than a week calls for concern of all citizens of the world.

Its in the light of the Above that I suggest that Foreign investors,Solution seekers , the General Public and the Bayelsa State Government to capitalize on our natural potentials which is the Availability of Alcohol based trees in our immediate environment and mangroves with local distillers already in commercial production level without adulteration .

The Botanical names of some of these trees are Raphia,Cocus Nucifera they all belong to the Arecacea family which has a wide content of Alcohol producing liquids and this trees are in the tropical regions of Africa especially Bayelsa State.

There has being a wide acceptance of Alcohol as a preventive liquid in the control of the dreaded Corona Virus, and this has being recommended by many nations of the World, and I also think that the products of this particular tropical trees will not only be effective has sanitizers but also a treatment for the Disease if proper laboratory investigations are being carried out by scientists .

Therefore I am appealing to Global Solution Seekers, investors ,Individuals to Patronize the Locally Made Gin in Bayelsa State Nigeria and am also Calling on the State Government to look at that Direction and I bet you we will be remembered for our Contribution in the control and treatment of Corona Virus.

This will also serve as a Source of Employment to our people living in the rural communities.
