Cartel gunmen dumped the dismembered body of a rival leader in the Mexican border state of Nuevo Leon. The mutilated body was stolen from a funeral home after a prison murder.
In recent days, Nuevo Leon state investigators responded to a rural area in the town of Dr. Coss, approximately 40 miles south of the border city of Camargo. Authorities found two dismembered bodies stuffed inside trash bags and plastic crates. The bodies were found by a local rancher.

Once Nuevo Leon authorities documented the scene, they were able to confirm one of the victims was Francisco “P90” Velazquez Torres, a regional leader with the Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas. Tamaulipas authorities recently arrested Velazquez Torres in connection with the execution of a state police commander

The South African Police authorities have welcomed the life sentence handed down by the Mpumalanga Division of the High Court on Monday to a man who brutally murdered a toddler for soiling himself.

The accused, Nhleko, 29, from Piet Retief, has since been given 25 years in prison.

According to police spokesperson, Colonel Donald Mdhluli, the two-year-old was staying with Nhleko and his girlfriend, who is the boy’s aunt.

The toddler’s mother was working out of town and had left him in the couple’s care in October 2019, the same month he died.

A magistrate court in Botswana has sentenced a teacher to 10 years imprisonment for rape.

Desperate to avoid being sent to jail, a convicted rapist begged court for mercy, noting he will be unable to satisfy his wife’s sexual needs from a prison cell.

38-year-old Melusi Montsho, a teacher at Manuwe Primary School in Nkange, further said his wife is likely to stray from the matrimonial bedroom if he is locked up.

“I am a parent, I have children that I am taking care of. Also consider that the government took me to school so if I am to be taken to prison it will be a loss. I am a married man, my wife will be deprived of her conjugal rights and she may find other men if I am jailed,” pleaded Montsho.

Republican President Donald Trump and Democratic rival Joe Biden battled fiercely over Trump’s leadership on the coronavirus pandemic, the economy and the integrity of November’s election in a chaotic first debate on Tuesday marked by personal insults, name calling and Trump’s repeated interruptions.

26 year old Innocent Nzamuturimanaby, a resident of the Buruhukuro sector, has been awarded a cow after he sheltered an antelope. The award was given by Biocoor a local conservation organization on Thursday, 24th September 2020.

A Chinese woman was shocked to find two five-centimetre-long needles embedded in her brain when she underwent a CT scan after a minor car accident. However, the needles were not related to the car accident.
29-year-old Zhu, from Zhengzhou in Henan Province of China, had been involved in a car accident and was advised to get a CT scan to make sure that there was no damage to her head. Luckily, the investigation showed no trauma related to the accident, but it did reveal something much stranger: two needles, approximately 5cm in length and 4.9mm in diameter embedded deep in her brain.

A 19 year Old Somalia girl was gang-raped by at least 11 men and thrown to her death off a sixth-floor building.

At least 50 people are feared dead after a gold mine collapsed in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), authorities have said.
The mine close to Kamituga city, within the east of the nation, caved in on Friday amid torrential rain.

Nineteen men affiliated with al-Qaida carried out the four hijackings.

U.S.-led coalition forces knocked the Taliban from power in Afghanistan. The war there continues, although earlier this year the U.S. and Taliban signed an agreement aimed at ending the conflict.

The United States searched for al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden for years after the terrorist attacks, and in May 2011 a team of U.S. Navy SEALs raided a compound in Abbottabod, Pakistan, where they shot him dead.

Memorials for those killed in the attacks now stand at all three sites in New York, Virginia and Pennsylvania.

In a particularly shocking case, police in the capital, Delhi, have arrested a man in his 30s for the rape and assault of an 86-year-old grandmother.
“The woman was waiting outside her home on Monday evening for the milkman when she was approached by her attacker,” Swati Maliwal, head of the Delhi Commission for Women, told the BBC.

“He told her that her regular milk delivery man wasn’t coming and offered to take her to the place where she could get milk.”

The octogenarian trustingly accompanied him, said Ms Maliwal, adding that he took her to a nearby farm where he raped her.

“She kept crying and begging him to leave her. She told him that she was like his grandmother. But he ignored her pleas and assaulted her mercilessly when she tried to resist and protect herself,”Ms Maliwal said.

Reagan Zietsman, he man accused of raping and murdering 6-year-old Delvina Europa from Elim in the Western Cape pleaded guilty.

In court on Tuesday, Zietsman confessed to raping Delvina, and National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila confirmed that the 35-year-old was also convicted for the rape of a 12-year-old girl on January 18 2017.

However, instead of facing jail time, he was handed a five-year sentence suspended for five years with conditions. Those conditions did not prevent him claiming another victim, this time with fatal results.

In his plea agreement, Zietsman on Tuesday told the Bredasdorp circuit court of the Western Cape High Court that the night before Delvina’s murder he had visited her father, David Jagers, at his home. He said the two friends smoked mandrax and tik that evening, March 23 2019.

The two parted ways after the drug use.

The next day, Zietsman woke and smoked mandrax again before heading to look for Jagers at his house. On his way there, he passed Delvina’s home, from where he kidnapped the child.
“I told her I was looking for her father. She accompanied me, ostensibly in search of her father. We walked over a field in the direction of a school, further away from the house of the deceased. I knew I did not have permission to take the deceased with me, thereby removing her from the lawful custody of her father, David Jagers, and/or Carol October [her mother],” read the plea agreement.

The National Committee for the Salvation of the People (CNSP) distributed to the media a biography of the new strongman of Mali, the army colonel Assimi Goïta who presented himself this Wednesday as the president of the CNSP.

The document details the career of the head of the military junta at the head of the country.

Colnel Assimi Goïta, nicknamed Asso by his close friends, is 37 years old, married and has three children.

His three-page biography provided by the CNSP describes him as a rigorous, tenacious man, adept at challenges and able to lead.

A Son of an army officer, he followed in his father’s footsteps and attended the military prytaneum of Kati, the National Defense high school.

The African Union has demanded the release of Mali’s President Keita, who resigned after being detained at gunpoint by mutinous soldiers

Ecowas

The Economic Community of West African States (Ecowas) has rejected the military coup in Mali and ordered sanctions against its ringleaders.

The bloc of 15 West African countries condemned the mutiny within the Mali’s armed forces that led to seizure of power and ouster of President Ibrahim Boubacar Kéita.

The body says the coup is likely to have a negative impact on peace and stability in Mali as well as the region.

A major decision announced by Ecowas is the closure of all land and air borders as well as stopping all economic, commercial and financial flows and transactions between member countries and Mali.
