Politics / Re: Babangida Campaign Takes Delivery Of 500 Cars by Mkpotu(m): 5:17pm On Jul 15, 2010 |
It is not easy for IBB to beat an incumbent President in primaries. Primaries are not usually free and fare as you think. U have not heard about the 'mandatory order to deliver your constituency' Before primaries are conducted the likely winner is usually known because there is really an instruction for Governors to deliver so that they can be delivered. The only primaries that was dicey was that of Ekwueme/Obasanjo where majority of the party stalwarts wanted Ekwueme but for the mafias of that time who changed the game in Jos in favor of OBJ to placate the west for the June 12 stuff. PDP primaries has always been who the blessing of the gladiators and which I know it must be the incumbent. If Jonathan is not contesting he will disappoint IBB the way OBJ did and Sambo might be the likely candidate. |
Politics / Re: Senator Alphonsus Igbeke Decamps To Pdp by Mkpotu(m): 4:25pm On Jul 14, 2010 |
There is no need cursing Senator Alphonsus Igbeke, the arithmetic is simple. In Anambra State ANPP does not stronghold in the State any longer, so the guy has the option of decamping to either APGA or PDP whichever he chooses especially if he has to ambition to contest in 2011 general election. As far am concerned there is no need for all these name calling against the man. It is all about political arithmetic and if you do not understand, you will be swallowed and most times you loose relevance. |

Politics / Re: Governor Akala Orders Dele Alake's Detention by Mkpotu(m): 2:07pm On Jul 05, 2010 |
I have always said it; 'afia oma na-ele onweya' meaning 'good market sells itself' If a governor is performing, you do not need to use cutlasses to pursue your opponents nor use police and thugs to intimate them because your good works will always speak for you. Alao-akala is making the whole thing look childish if some of the statements above actually came from him. A performing Governor doesn't need to cry when there are allegations of non-performance by critics, what he he has to do is to table those achievements like pack of cards and challenge his critics. Watch states where governors are performing, they are not scared of opposition because the people will support him. So I think the game is over for Alao-akala that is why he is using every possible means to intimidate, harass and frighten possible opponents. |
TV/Movies / Re: Ghana Slams $1,000 Fee On Nigerian Actors by Mkpotu(m): 12:23pm On Jul 05, 2010 |
Ghana vs Nigeria, Anyway I think it is just fear of being dominated. The other time, their attack was on Globacom and demolition of GLO's equipment, which made Glo to issue a press conference that they are withdrawing from the Ghana because of hostile business environment, now it is slamming $1,000 fee on Nollywood actors/actresses, who knows the next? To me, I do not see why we should be killing ourselves going to Ghana, Nollywood should stay at home, harness our talents and potentials, make it an enviable one. We have not reached the peak and we are already going to develop other people. It is better that the Ghanaian exhibited this hatred now that it is early so that our people can go home and put their house in order. It baffles me these days that people when they travel to Ghana they now see it as if they have gone to one big place. This Ghana nonsense will put us on the right track. |
Politics / Re: Senator Chukwumerije Quits PPA Too by Mkpotu(m): 5:19pm On Jul 02, 2010 |
I like Chukwumerije, he is an objective and responsible politician. His kind of persons are rare and I believe this decision he made must have been a calculated one and no regrets, most probably there is no internal democracy in PPA just like what a lot of people suffered in PDP, ANPP & AC. I wish him well, a respectable Senator. |
Sports / Re: Fifa Give Nigeria 48 Hours Ultimatum To Reverse Ban. by Mkpotu(m): 1:12pm On Jul 02, 2010 |
How can FIFA be leashing orders to a sovereign nation like Nigeria. For God's sake Presidency that funds NFF wants to put his house in order and reduce the rot/corruption in NFF. If FIFA will be taking care of NFF and its bills then the ban will be lifted and government will stay clear from NFF for two (2) years. A lot of people do not know why this decision by Presidency was taken like this, they considered FIFA's rules and came to conclusion that it is the best way to go about it. If government decides to disband NFF, it is still another wahala from FIFA. Are they (FIFA) gods, even if they are gods, there are senior gods. FIFA should go to hell with that their order. |
Politics / Re: Best And Worst Governors In Nigeria? by Mkpotu(m): 4:29pm On Jun 29, 2010 |
Best Governor Award goes to Babatunde Fashola (SAN). Lagos State makes alot of money and the man has the will to utilize the money to better people's life whilst creating more avenues for generating more revenue for the state. Next is Rotimi Amaechi - South South Followed by Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau - North West. I have not been to Gombe State, but from people's assessment, he (Alhaji Goje) delivered. Besides, he normally has one activity or the other which usually has press coverage. Sulleivan Chime too is trying though majority said his concentration is only in Enugu metropolis. Peter Obi of Anambra State is not doing badly but much is really expected of him. He has a bit of integrity and he is executing projects around his state, touching all sectors simultaneously. Others include; Akpabio of Akwa-Ibom, Babangida of Niger State. Plateau State as at last year that I visited, there was tremendous improvement compared to dilapidated that Joshua Dariye left the state. So, I will not classify Jonah Jang as worst as their situation would have improved much better but for the incessant crisis. Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi etc are all trying, what they just need is to provide bags of fertilizer, donkeys and other means of enhancing irrigation to their people and share money to politicians, the people are satisfied, but i think it is democracy dividend anyway. The worst of all include; (1) Alao akala of Oyo State: Looks like a liar (2) Theodore Orji of Abia State: Looks unserious and without focus on what he intends to achieve. (3) Gbenga Daniels of Ogun State: a mafia and a crook (4) Gaidam of Yobe state: Doing nothing (5) Oyinlola of Ekiti State who after 7-8years in power is still complaining of paucity of fund. (6) Timipreye Silver, lets see what happens since his deputy has been removed and there wouldn't bomb & dynamite explosion around his residence & office. He may now be focused, though he has nothing at all to show for the 3years in office. (7) Ohakim looks focused but majority of his people do not like him as they classify him as being deceptive. Some states are however living on the past glory of the past administration although the incumbent are painting such predecessors black, they are: (1) Liyel Imoke of Cross River State - Donald Duke, his projects are still there to testify. (2) Isah Yuguda of Bauchi State - Adamu Muazu, embarked on massive road construction and reconstruction using Julius Berger. Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has not really shown much, the two projects commissioned by Goodluck were all inherited from Ibori his brother, though government is a continuous thing. It means that in 3years as Governor, he did not start and finish a standard or even single road in the Delta State for Goodluck to commission or even patch pot holes like Alao-akala did in Oyo State. Although I can attest for his for beautification of the cities with flowers, street lighting and televisions on the major cities of Asaba & Warri. |
Career / Would You Rather "work For Somebody" Or "work With Somebody" by Mkpotu(m): 10:15am On Jun 17, 2010 |
A serious argument ensued in my office after we conducted an interview for new entrants into our firm, while some of the people interviewed said they will 'work for us', one or two persons said they will 'work with us'. One of the interview team members rather saw the use of the word, "work with us" as form of pride and that such people should not be employed in the firm, while the others are of the view that they do not see something wrong in the use of the word 'work with'. Different people gave different interpretation to the words. House, I just want to hear your opinion on this, as that will serve to stop the lingering employment crisis generated in my firm since after the interview yesterday. 8 Likes |

Politics / Re: Juju: Fear Grips Kidnappers, Robbers In Edo- Storm Palace For Forgiveness by Mkpotu(m): 11:12am On Jun 16, 2010 |
Am surprised some people are saying juju doesnt work. Definitely it works, whether you believe it or not, especially with respect to these armed robbers & kidnappers. Those robbers & kidnappers don't engage in such acts without the use of those juju/charms & since they have compromised & believed in it why wouldn't it work on them? Some of us are talking from what we were thought in the Holy Books, that if you don't believe in juju or whatever, that it will not affect you, but that is for you. But that cannot be said of most armed Robbers & Kidnappers who before embarking on any operations, they have all these Babalawos or charms men that guide them as per protection. So tell me why they may not be affected by Oba's curse if his' is more superior. I think that informed why most of them are begging, If the juju go send the thieves and kidnappers packing, let it start immediately, there is no need criticizing what the Oba & co. did as not standing the taste of 21st or being barbaric or whatever. Once they finish from Bini own, i think such should equally be adopted in the East too so that people can have peace. If you have not witnessed armed robbery and these kidnapping cases you will not understand. He who wears shoes know where it pitches. |
Religion / Re: New Rccg's Tithe Collection Format by Mkpotu(m): 1:23pm On Jun 11, 2010 |
@KunleOshob, all these things are clearly stated in the Bible both in the Deut. 14:22-29 (usually done Catholic & Anglican churches as in Bazaar/thanksgiving where people bring things and they are later sold in the church) which you quoted as well as Malachi 3:6-12 (an obligation with a promise attached) Why I do not really like venturing into argument about tithing is because I know in the past I have not really kept this obligation as a Christian, but that does not mean that when people are taught or encouraged to pay tithe, it is now a sin/fraud. Most of us are fund of choosing the ones that suits us whilst the unsuitable ones are criticized and argued against. As a Christian, we are obliged to pay our tithe, most times it is not really easy but we are enjoined to do it. This is similar to telling you as a Christian, do not commit fornication or adultery, but you see most times how many of us Christians keep to it. it is simple, judgment is not for us but for God. What I can understand from the tithing stuff is that, It is an instruction from God for us to observe and there is a promise/reward for it; Malachi 3:10-12 and I know it works. I do not think it was the pastors/ Rev. Fathers that put this Chapter of the Bible and I believe the Bible should be read as a whole and not in segment or piece meal. |
Religion / Re: New Rccg's Tithe Collection Format by Mkpotu(m): 11:11am On Jun 11, 2010 |
@Poster as per Topic; There is nothing wrong in calling up people that have their tithe to the altar and then pray for them. For your information, it is not only in RCCG that such is done, it is usually done in most churches and I do not see it as a new thing in RCCG or anything that could give any sane person this kind of concern. Whether they say people with their tithe should stand up for prayers and later they still match to the altar to drop and calling them to the altar for prayers and thereafter, they drop their tithe, to me I believe they are the same thing. Meanwhile, announcement for tithing is usually done every Sunday (for convenience as different people have different times/period they receive their salaries/wages/remuneration), so I don't see the reason why you are bothered that you are seated except your conscience is really disturbing you as per not tithing. It's just conscience thing and nobody cares who goes this Sunday and who goes the next Sunday. Mind u, may be your church/parish is smaller because in some bigger ones, people with their tithe are asked to raise it up, after prayers, the ushers go around and collect them. As per looking for the Biblical interpretation, there is no format/procedure stated in the bible on how to bring your tithe to the house of God. |

As far as I am concerned, Tinubu has no option, not supporting Fashola will be to work against the interest of the people and which definitely will affect his political relevance because the people will rise against him. It will even amount to suicide for Action Congress to sideline Fashola and field another candidate, then a good opportunity for PDP. I think Fashola is a gentleman who has to be supported to give his best to Lagos State because with his achievements, every other political parties are scared of even fielding a candidate let alone participating in the main election. |

@ Mekusxxx, i think your argument is LOGICAL, i have gone through your write ups, it is simply logical for any person that wants to hear to hear. You made your point, so don't bother your self about people that are resorting to several name callings or whatever. I have come to realize one thing that the Yorubas are the most unreliable people to trust especially in a transaction or deal that they are the people to benefit first. A typical Yoruba man will shut the door against you once he has benefited, this is why I wasn't surprise at their grand father's (Obj) utterance that there was nothing like an agreement for rotational presidency in PDP, which he was the primary beneficiary. Some of these statements/questions should be posed to Obj, may be senility has set in & he may not be able to remember some of their earlier deals: (1) Dr Alex Ekwueme was denied presidency in preference to Obasanjo in order to satisfy the yearnings of the Yorubas as per the annulled June 12 election. (2) Southerners were equally given the opportunity to contest for presidency in 1998/99 because of the cry for marginalization, thus the agreement for 8yrs South & 8yrs North rotation in PDP to take care of our nascent democracy till it stabilizes. (3) Why was Atiku asked to drop his presidential ambition in 2003, when it was clear that he was very popular that his master and had the support of over 25 PDP governors? (4) Why was Peter Odili asked to step down in preference to Yaradua if not for the same arrangement? Even Goodluck himself during his recent interview in US acknowledged the fact that something like that exists in PDP, so why is it that today only Obasanjo & all his Yoruba brothers are reneging that there was nothing like that, meanwhile, they have benefited from the arrangement, this is typical of Yorubas. I have not all that been a fan of the rotation thing when 1st it was said, but I later came to understand that it will be beneficial to us all and for our democracy to thrive especially in Nigeria where tribalism & region representation takes pre-eminence, yes of course, we cant rule it out in Nigeria lets not pretend about it and start quoting what is happening in UK & US. |
Politics / Re: CBN Intervention Damaging Economy, Says Gusau by Mkpotu(m): 3:27pm On Apr 21, 2010 |
It really baffles me that some people because of their bias mind have failed to appreciate the powers a National Security Adviser has. An adviser advises his boss and when such adviser comes out to speak, it means he is speaking the mind of his boss. Gusau has spoken the mind of the government and whether some of you like it or not, Sanusi should better start watching his back. It is something to note that where Gasau made the statement is not in his kitchen or sitting room rather, he was addressing the new ministers; guys, to that extent, he is not just speaking his personal opinion if you do not know, know it now. Gusau's speech is clear, that CBN's so-called reforms is causing more harm than good, even a baby in Nigeria knows that, he equally spoke that the anti-corruption agencies will be re-organised and so many other things, if you think he is just speaking his personal opinion, come out as a layman and speak, definitely your statement will just go into trash. I think i agree with somebody that talked about having an economic team to be overseeing the economy instead of leaving our economy in the hand of an individual for him to be running it the way he runs his private "family" (we cant be too sure if the son is not one of the Abdul Muttalabs) Please can one of these Sanusi's boys tell me; (i) What is the brain behind destroying the existing universal banking and what he intends to achieve? (2) What is the essence of creating many more banks (international, regional, religious, national, state, local etc) ie taking us to the olden days of several banks instead of fortifying the existing banks and setting a standard? |

From what some people are writing here, it will take Nigeria a long way to get better. You want Dora to resign, for What? Is she not a Nigerian? Does she not have right to make her own contribution for the progress of her nation? Infact i do not understand this country, where corruption has eaten deep into our blood system such that any attempt to fight it is always resisted even by those who are yet to taste political powers, which way Nigeria? Dora is not resigning anything, untill she makes up her mind she can go if she likes but if not, your wish is not her wish. |

Politics / Re: Akunyili's Confirmation Stirs The Senate! by Mkpotu(m): 4:30pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
@ Bluetooth and co, we have known Dora for well over 11yrs right from her NAFDAC time and people who knew her before all testified as to her good and straight forward character, so your cheap insinuations that she has a motive is immaterial. See let me tell you, everybody cannot be cowards like you. People have been destined to be distinguished in their life time and I think Dora is one of them. I have been reading your writeups, and I have come to a conclusion that either you are a tribal bigot or you are one of those people that do not wish Nigeria well. NAFDAC has been there before she came in, but she distinguished herself when she took over the affairs of NAFDAC. Similarly in the dissolved FEC she was not the only member; Why didnt other ministers become opportunistic too and write the memo so that their name(s) in the history of time? Rather they chose to keep mum. Do you know that in the normal sense, the FEC violated sec. 144 & 145 CFRN, which empowers them to declare the president or vp incapacitated. And you are here talking of LOYALTY. By the way loyalty to whom? Is it to Yaradua who has been comatoose right from the time he left Nigeria or Tutai/cabal, abeg please wake up and be sincere to yourself. You said It was obvious that Dora knew Yaradua will not come back, , How do you mean, was she in Saudi or what? A president that they even told you that his inlaws who are governors could not see him, yet you open your mouth to say Dora knew, abeg let's tell ourselves the truth and appreciate somebody for once. Anyway I do not blame you, because people like you do not have the balls to come to the battle field, you only sit down behind your pc and be critizing, because i know for sure that if Dora had played along and l8r Nigeria disintegrates or whatever, I know people like you and your cohorts will come out to say that you are not surprised, that her wonderful achievements in NAFDAC was a pretence so that she can have her way to become a minister inorder to loot money but unfornately she has disappointed you and done the right thing. As per Senator Panti Bello, i have nothing to tell him, but its a pity he has disgraced himself and showcased his ignorance and ineptitude. Its a shame for him, because their plans could not materialize. As per AUNTIE DORA, MY PRAYERS IS THAT GOD WILL CONTINUE TO GUIDE AND DIRECT YOU IN ALL YOUR AFFAIRS. YOUR LIFE WILL BE PROTECTED. WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT, THEY CANNOT CHANGE YOUR DESTINY, JUST CONTINUE TO KEEP YOUR HANDS CLEAN . If you have not been keeping your hands clean, the Nigerian politics that i know, by now they would have framed LIKE 150 count charges against you but they do not have anything that was why they are looking for cheap blackmails and intimidation, but they will not succeed. |
Politics / Re: Sanusi Criticizes Bank Consolidation Exercise by Mkpotu(m): 12:46am On Mar 03, 2010 |
At the onset, nobody cares about Sanusi & his reforms, but it is unprofessional for Sanusi after taking over from somebody for over 9months, would wake again today to say that the actions of his predecessor was a sham. Does that connote incompetency on the part of Sanusi, honestly i think so. Any competent and responsible person should ordinarily be busy to see how he can put his name in history by initiating policies that will improve our economy. Ever since Sanusi assumed the position of this CBN governor, his stock in trade has always been calling people that they did this or that, for God's sake Sanusi, this is your time, if there is anything you see in CBN that you do not like, it is your duty to do it your own way pending the time another person enters. From Sanusi's pronouncement, what I can infer was that Soludo's 5-yrs tenor was a waste, Sanusi must be mad. i must say, because as it stands, he cannot make upto 40% of Soludo's achievement in 5yrs especially this one he is already looking for 10yrs in order for him to stabilize the economy, arrant nonsense. Let us know that the best talkers are not the best performers. Go and ask Elrufai, Ribadu, Femi Fani-Kayode etc Before Soludo entered, there was a CBN governor, has there been any time Soludo tried to xray or condemn the activities of his predecessor, NO, this was because he knew that whatever he saw that was not good, it was his duty to correct it being the incumbent, thus the consolidation, This therefore boils down to say that sanusi's problem is INFERIORITY COMPLEX. He is scared of comparism, i bet you, if it were the usual CBN governors that we used to have, ordinarily Sanusi & the usual xteristics of the people where he came from, will just come & do his baa qwomi (i dont care attitude) CBN work & go as usual. But his major problem is that a standard was set by Soludo and all his effort are geared towards blackmail all those Soludo;s policies. Somebody that after 9months of becoming CBN governor & had taken some drastic major steps/decision, he is now coming out to bring his BLUEPRINT for the apex bank. This shows he doesnt have any plans for Nigerian economy i must say, it is a pity. Make una watch that guy, he is a planless CBN GOVERNOR I bet you, if Sanusi were to be Dr Orhi the NAFDAC DG, he would have been telling us that Dora's cleansing in NAFDAC was a sham instead of concentrating & continuing from where his predecessor stopped. Sanusi should wake up & justify that position he is occupying & the huge salary/remunerations he is collecting and not casting aspersions on people. |
Politics / Re: Sanusi Criticizes Bank Consolidation Exercise by Mkpotu(m): 10:51pm On Mar 02, 2010 |
@biina, the qualifications for both men are not and cannot be placed together. Soludo was appointed CBN governor because of his rich academic qualifications especially in the area of economy as well as his international experiences, besides being onetime economic adviser to the former president which he did creditably well. But the purported grounds of Sanusi's appointment cannot be academic ofcourse, because he doesnt have any special qualification more than I do, however they pitched the appointment on the grounds that he has been in the banking industry & should have experience , but I still make bold to say that he is an amateur in the industry especially where the grounds of his appointment is on experience. There are several other experienced bankers from the North that would have ordinarily made it as CBN governor. That aside, I must boldly tell you that the main reason why Sanusi was chosen was because of his RADICAL NATURE, they needed somebody that can be bold & achieve whatever plans unlike politicians like Isa Yuguda who though is more experienced as a banker but may not easily be a good candidate to execute the agenda. |
Politics / Re: Sanusi Criticizes Bank Consolidation Exercise by Mkpotu(m): 6:09pm On Mar 02, 2010 |
@Ndu-Chuks, ur attachment on this post as to court striking out the suit is just baseless and should not be used to support ur argument in this context. If u read that decision of the court, you will see that the court did not delve into the main issue rather the court just struck out the case on grounds of technicality, moreso when Sanusi & co as defendants were saying that the plaintiff does not hv locus standi to institute the matter. The court went on to rule that the plaintiff has locus standi bt went on to strike it out on grounds of tecnicality, so the main issue has not been touched, so my advise is that u cannot use it as a valid argument here. Meanwile, Sanusi should rather concentrate on his work & see if he can make any single achievement bc the way things are going, that guy was an amateur who was appointed governor of the apex bank, thus his series of actions are doing more harm than good. Yaradua made a mistake, Sanusi would have been better for ICPC chairman or EFCC or even police rather than being i/c of controlling a county's economy. Nigerian Commercial banks are not doing much now, mortgage banks arent doing anything like wise micro finance banks. Its a pity that because of his actions, some Nigerian coys that are internationally recognised are even better of borrowing from foreign banks as we can see recently, whereas alot of Nigerian banks have money to lend but they are afraid of masquerade SANUSI. This can equally be seen with the latest DROP in interest rates with respect to fixed/tenored deposits. Banks cant be paying you high interest on money they are keeping for you where they are not using that money as usual to do business. If u want to confirm, enter any bank and ask them how much they are paying now on fixed deposits, you were hear the discouraging interest rate that u never heard, eg UBA, First bank. If Sanusi had managed First Bank for just one year, his incompetence would have been seen but the mafians hurriedly pushed him to the apex bank because he is prince of Kano my foot I pity Nigerian economy anyway |

Wen Yaradua left the country in Nov. 2009, everybody pitied d family & prayed 4 his quick recovery. We should stop deceiving ourselves, no reasonable woman will allow her husband's ill health to be ridiculed to the extent Turai is doing. I t is a pity bc she is power drunk. People should stop saying some cabal bc she is part of the cabal. If she is sincere & not power drunk, why not put down her husband's resignation on grounds of ILL HEALT, which ofcourse will be more honourable & draw compassion for the family. But i tel u, d way things are going, i do not think any sensible or reasonable Nigerian will have compassion on the family any longer. Cant Turai differentiate b/w her right & left, for the POSTER to say she is being used by cabals? What about her grown up daughters, are they happy wt the way dia fada is being mocked? What about Yaradua's broda, are they happy too? Lets be realistic, the family is a power drunk family. |

Nigerian banks were almost 100 when he assumed position as CBN governor in 2004, and that was when every tom dick and harry can just come set up a bank in his locality and collect people's money after some time, it will fold and Nigerian banks were so weak then and I believe we had CBN governors and nobody crucified them. Soludo came in as a renowned economist, saw that all these banks can be merged to create a BIGGER bank and equally create more jobs for Nigerians, because as at then, Unemployment rate in Nigeria was some what a thing of concern. Thus Soludo brought the idea of consolidation, mergers, Acquisition, Take-overs etc, which everybody accepted but if you dont believe it, ASK ANYBODY THAT GRADUATED BETWEEN 2004 TILL 2008, the only employer of people were Nigerian banks, thanks to SOLUDO. Consolidation made Nigerian banks to be able to compete with other foregn banks, it equally gave room for expansion into other countries. Take your mind bank those days, it was only First Bank that has branch across Nigeria although weak, but with the emergence of Soludo's policy, banks like GTB, Zenith, UBA, Access, Oceanic, Diamond etc could boast of having offsore branches doing good business. Soludo was being professional with the banks as CBN governor as the r/ship between CBN and commercial banks should be like banker/customer relationship ie fiduciary and secret. He dosent need to come and stout shouting that this bank is doing this or that to the public in order to do his job. See some of the things he did as CBN governor: (a) Do you know that when Unity Bank abi Bank of the North was going down, do you know that the bank was bailed? Do you know that the MD, Alhaji Bulama was removed and charged to court? All these, he need not come out on television to start telling you that this bank is weak and that their MDs have squandered their money, thus he was more professional and today the bank is coming back gradually. (b) Do you know that Spring Bank had problem, did he come out to start shouting that this bank is dying and that their MDs have done this or that, rather after seeing, the best bet was for them to be acquired or merged in order to secure depositors money, thus the PHB and Spring deal. (c) What about WEMA bank? (d) Do you equally remembered that Soludo gave Commercial banks ultimatum to have common financial year by December 31, 2009, in order to really determine the strength of the banks and to equally stop some pranks being played by banks which has been age-long. (e) Was Soludo the cause of global Financial Meltdown? (f) Was he responsible for fall of shares across the world and in Nigerian? Because u knw majority of those non-performing loans were MARGINAL FACILITY. And plz can you tell me the collateral required for transaction of this nature :margin facility? (g) Was he responsible for the fall of crude oil across the world and in Nigeria? Note that some of those non-performing loans were equally as a result of investment into oil and crude oil price fell thus some these non-performing loans. (h) If I may ask, do you think Cecilia Ibru and Erastus are worse than Jim Ovia of Zenith and Elumelu of UBA, if u dont know, politics equally plays a major role in all these drama. (i) Why do you think Sanusi signed the 2nd Quarter result of Oceanic bank in July and in the next month, you removed the MD that she cooked her books, that is to say he is equally an accomplice. I want to tell you guys that all these bank issue and sanitization are more political than you people. AS SOME OF YOU ARE CRITICIZING SOLUDO, JUST BE A BIT COURTEOUS BECAUSE SANUSI LAMIDO IS NOT A SAINT either. If not, the First Bank where he was coming from, had the HIGHEST NON-PERFORMING LOAN yet his argument was that they have enof deposit to shoulder it. If he is a saint, why did he leave JIM & ELUMELU, why did he grant debt forgiveness to the tune of billions to SARAKI & DANGOTE, why did he sign Oceanic Bank 2nd quarter result and later come out to nullify, why is he now saying that Nigerian banks should be CATEGORIZED along REGION, MARKET & SECTORS. just because his main aim is to come and create ISLAMIC BANKING, thus the impression he has created in the atmosphere that banks under other peoples regime are sham. MAKE we shine our eyes and stop castigating SOLUDO who I believe kept food in some of our tables by his policy as CBN governor, even if not directly to you but to your friend, class mate, husband, wife, boy friend, girl friend, brother or cousin. I rest my case |
Politics / Re: What Will Become Of Soludo? by Mkpotu(m): 12:03am On Feb 09, 2010 |
We should rather stop taking panadol for another person's headache. Soludo is a renowned Ecomists, an academic. a poliitician, a business man and what have you. Mistakes most of us make, is not having a plan B in something and some us think that Soludo will fall such a victim, NO ITS NOT POSSIBLE. He is as sharp as most of us if not sharper. There are Plans B,C, D, & E for him and so we should not cry more than the bereaved. He has accepted defeat thus his speech, but what I want you guys to do is to wait and hear his next line of action. As per banking industry is concerned, he is a hero and his name has been engraved, whether you like it or not. May be tomorrow, by the time Sanusi comes out fully , i trust Naija shaa. |
Politics / Re: Aondoakaa And Akunyili Clash Over Yar’Adua by Mkpotu(m): 11:38pm On Feb 08, 2010 |
That dirty man AONDOAKAA is nothing but a disgrace to the legal profession. I think the Disciplinary Committee of NBA should de-robe that guy. His atrocities are becoming unbearable. I have been watching with keen interest his activities as Attorney General & Minister of justice, i discovered that he is more of a dirty politician than a person who supposedly should be the custodian of the constitution. He has been supporting all corrupt politicians who are being prosecuted by EFCC using technicalities of law to pave way for them, thus the clash he had with EFCC chairman, Farida Waziri. Now he has taken his wahala to Dora, infact anybody that knows him should tell him that his days are numbered. He has messed himself up and posterity will judge him. as far as am concerned, nothing good can come out of that guy. He is fond of lies, deceits, manipulations, greedy and even not sound as a lawyer. Abeg, that man should go and marry, nonsense. |
