TOPIC: OUTCOME OF DIVINE VISITATION - Pt 4

TEXT: "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people" (Luke 1:68)

Let me begin by saying that Divine visitation is the visitation that is orchestrated by God Himself. It is the visitation of God to man that changes his situation from negative to positive. It is a move of God towards us His children that demonstrates His greatness and faithfulness. In a nutshell, Divine visitation means God stepping into the affairs of man with solutions - hallelujah! This shall be our testimony this month and onwards, in Jesus name.

Beloved, God has promised to visit us - it is His decision, not ours, and it is part of His sovereign Will. He said in Romans 9:15-16: “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion, so then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy.” I want you to crave for Divine visitation this month. The reason is because every great and outstanding achievement in life answers to it.

Many wonderful dreams and visions one has can only find fulfilment by divine visitation. A good example is the young Joseph who had a dream of becoming a leader over his brothers. By divine encounters at every junction of his life, the dream came to pass. There are men and women who depended solely on their own strength and failed woefully. Divine visitation puts an end to prolonged delay and it removes barriers. Every prolonged issues of concern in your life shall be arrested this month, in Jesus name.

In a time when every your hope fails, divine visitation is what you need like the man by the pool of Bethesda for thirty-eight years. The visitation of Jesus ended his years of ordeal.

Many have been fighting all kinds of battles over the years without meaningful results. To them, it seems as if God is no more in the business of helping His own. If I have just described you, before this month is over, God will visit you and cause those challenges to expire, in Jesus name. Be expectant of an encounter with God in the remaining days of this month. It will happen suddenly!

PRAYER: Every age-long ordeal in your life and family expires today by the blood of Jesus, in Jesus name.

TOPIC: HOW TO ACCESS THE VOICE OF GOD - Pt 1

TEXT: "Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel. And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones" (Isaiah 30:29-30)

One of the secrets to a successful walk with God is hearing His voice. A man who cannot hear God's voice will surely be stunted in his walk with God. Please note that there are many voices out there competing with the voice God. So, it becomes important in our walk with God to hear and discern His voice. In John chapter 10, Jesus said my sheep hear my voice.

How do we access the voice of God?

1. SONGS OF WORSHIP
There is a connection between the song you sing and the voice of God. Today's anchor scripture says: "Ye shall have a song...And the Lord shall cause his glorious voice to be heard.."

He will cause His glorious voice to be heard only when we come to Him with a song! The voice of God is accessible in the atmosphere of worship. The reason why you cannot hear God is because you always approach Him with complaints instead of with a song. When Elisha needed to prophesy, he didn't complain, he asked for a minstrel to play. A minstrel is a worshipper.

"And Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee. But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him (2Kings 3:14-15).

Jesus said: "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24). God wants us to worship Him. He is happy when we live good lives but, He wants more than that from us, He is looking for worshippers. He is looking for people who are in love with Him who are ready to demonstrate their love through worship. In fact, He wants you to be so in love with Him that you long to be in His Presence and to worship Him. If you will be that true worshipper from today, He will cause His glorious voice to be heard concerning that situation you're in.

PRAYER: I pray that the Spirit of God comes upon you today and make you a true worshipper of God, in Jesus name.

TOPIC: OUTCOME OF DIVINE VISITATION - Pt 3

TEXT: "In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee" (2Chro 1:17)

God always leaves a man or a woman He visited with proofs of His visitation. Hear me child of God, you can't have supernatural encounters with God without change of story as a proof. God visited king Solomon and by that encounter, he remains relevant till today. I want us to see proofs of God's visitation in his life.

* YOU WILL HEAR GOD'S VOICE
The most important thing that can happen to a man is to know what God is saying and to do what God is saying per time. It is very important for you to know what God wants you to do with your life and do it. Having access to the voice of God is worth more than gold or silver. This is because access to the voice of God guarantees struggle-free life. This access is made possible by divine visitation. The first phrase in today's anchor scripture is: "God appeared unto Solomon, and said unto him..." Did you see that? God said unto him. You will hear God's voice this month, in Jesus name.

Accessing the voice of God is vital because those who hear the voice of God regularly overcome the challenges of life cheaply. Those who hear the voice of God are never worried by the noise of circumstances nor by the noise of men around them. It is those who have not heard God that are scared by men and what they would say. Once you can hear the voice of God beloved, ignore the noise from the enemy. Peter began to sink only when he paid attention to the bolstrious noise as against the voice of Jesus that had beckoned him to come. The truth is that nothing gives stability to destiny like the voice of God. You shall hear God from today, in Jesus name.

The voice of God is basically to give us direction. Until you are directed by God through His voice, you will not stop struggling. One day of right direction will end ten years of labour in the wrong direction. Jesus told Peter, throw your net into the deep. That voice of Jesus ended Peter's frustration (Read Luke 5).

PRAYER: Your struggle in any area of life and existence expires today, in Jesus name.

TOPIC: THE ANOINTING THAT BREAKS YOKES

Luke 4:14 "And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about."

We bless the name of the Lord for strength thus far to go through this fast. My prayer is that whatever that is a challenge to you before now shall turn into testimony in Jesus name. The reason is, God is not just able to turn that challenge into a testimony; He is also willing and ready to do it. God wants to do things in our lives that will command the attention of the people around, especially the unbelievers to recognize that there is God at work in our lives.

Therefore, everyone reading this today, there shall be an undeniable testimony in your life this weekend that will cause people to sing praises unto God on your behalf. Whatever captivity you are in now can be turned around.  That negative condition is reversible. A miracle is taking place now, in Jesus name.

Prayers and fasting on the other hand enhances the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This anointing is in measures and it grows through prayers and fasting. Also, it is the anointing that breaks yokes (Isaiah 10:27). So, as you increase in anointing of the Holy Spirit through this fast, every curse, oppression of the devil shall come to an end, in Jesus name.

PRAYER: Receive your testimony now, in Jesus name.

TOPIC: WHAT DETERMINES TESTIMONIES - PT 6

1 Sam 30:11 "And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water."

David's situation was a typical example of how to provoke a testimony in one's life. We have been highlighting some of the things he did that provoked his testimony. These include: (1) He encouraged himself in the Lord in his discouraging situation. (2) He asked God what to do to come out of his situation. (3) He acted on God's instruction.

What more? In the above scripture, if you read downward, David offered help to his seemingly enemy who thereafter revealed to him the secret of the whereabout of his enemy. For you to experience your testimony this month, be willing and ready to help the helpless that God brings your way. Don't allow your challenge to blind you to any opportunity to help people around you.

Prayer and fasting on the other hand, enhances our capacity to hear God. We need to hear God more than ever considering what is happening around the world today. Things are currently happening in the world and the aim of the devil is to distract, to entice and to win our hearts, our focus, and to determine our vision. Fasting however, cuts us out of the world so we can be in tune with God.

PRAYER: The grace to carry on this spiritual exercise is released on you in Jesus Name!

TOPIC: WHAT DETERMINES TESTIMONIES - PT 4

1 Sam 30:8 "And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all."

July 2020 is a month God has set to turn all issues of concern into testimonies. To see this fulfilled, we need to follow the footsteps of David who got his testimony in a discouraging situation. (Pls read 1Sam chapter 30 for better understanding). There are different kinds of prayer. The one that produced testimony for David is prayer of enquiries. This is when you go to God to ask Him what to do in a situation. The Bible says you don't have because you don't ask (Jam 4:2). Stop asking God to do it for you; ask Him what you must do to get out of that situation you're in. This kind of prayer guarantees testimony.

Payer and fasting however, is a platform for securing favour of God. Queen Esther engaged in a fast with her maidens for three days and she received the king's favour (Esther 4:16-17; 5:2-3). Divine favour is reserved for those that will heartily engage in this Holy Ghost inspired fast. Yours shall be enlisted, in Jesus name.

Nehemiah obtained favour from God while in a fast (Neh 1:4-11). Thereafter, he went to the king with his petition and the king had no resistance because the Hand of God was upon him for favour (Neh 2:4-11).

PRAYER: The favour of God will locate you this week as you engage faithfully in this fast, in Jesus name!

DAY 7 PRAYER GUIDELINES:
1: Father, supernaturally meet the needs of everyone in the Morning Tea Devotional Family, in Jesus Name.

TOPIC: WHAT DETERMINES TESTIMONIES - PT 3

1 Sam 30:6 "And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him,  because the soul of all the people was grieved...but  David encouraged himself in the Lord his God."

Testimony is not for the one who is always discouraged at a slightest situation. Discouragement is of the devil and it's aim is to rob you of testimony. David did not allow the situation to discourage him, he rather encouraged himself in the Lord.

Beloved, when no one is there to encourage you, you still have to encourage yourself in the Lord. You must guard against discouragement because when you allow it, it will tempt you to speak I'll of God. 

Discouragement will never let you see what God has done but what He's yet to do. If you don't see what He has done, you will not be thankful and if you are not thankful to God for the last blessing, He will not give you the next one. So, encourage yourself in the Lord for you to experience your testimony this month.

Prayer and fasting on the other hand is a platform for accessing the grace of God. We saw this grace at work in the life of Jesus Christ. When He returned from the 40 day-prayer and fasting. His level of command changed. The Bible in Luke 4:14 says: "And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about." It is your turn!

PRAYER: The grace to overcome discouragement is released now in Jesus name.

DAY 6 PRAYER GUIDELINES:

1: Father, let every curse working against my destiny be broken now in Jesus name (Num 23:23).
2: Father, in the name of Jesus, let every arrow of discouragement shut at me to still my joy, go back to sender now.
3: Present any other request to God now.

TOPIC: WHAT DETERMINES TESTIMONIES - PT 2

Mark 5:28 "For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole."

God has ordained July 2020 as our month for undeniable testimonies in the Morning Tea Devotional Family. But I will like to say that testimony happens only when we know what to do to provoke it. So, if you will experience your testimony this month, according to the story of the woman with the issue of blood in today's text, you must believe what God can do as pointed out yesterday. She believed God's ability and this provoked the manifestation of her testimony. What more can we learn from her story?

2: BE DESPERATE FOR YOUR CHANGE OF STORY: The Bible says: "When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment" (Mk 5:27). She was desperate enough not to allow the crowd to discourage her. She pressed until she got what she wanted.

Are you desperate enough to see your miracle this month? This woman got her miracle because she was desperate for a change. You can get yours too. To be desperate means "To be ready to take any risk for a desired change." What risk have you or are you ready to take?

Now, what is in this prayer and fasting for me? prayer and fasting is ordained to break the barriers in life. Life often comes with diverse challenges. There is need to always fast and pray to receive divine strength needed to overcome those challenges. This shall happen in your life during and after this fasting.

PRAYER: Any barrier between you and your testimony is broken today in Jesus name!

DAY 3 PRAYER GUIDELINES:
1: Father in the name of Jesus, let every barren area of my life be fruitful this month (Gen 1:28).
2: Father, every barrier to my testimony this month be broken in Jesus name (Joshua 6:20).
3: Present to God any other request.

You will surely testify!

TOPIC: JULY PROPHETIC FOCUS

I welcome you to the month of July, the second half of the year. This month shall be a reference point in your life, in Jesus name.

Second half of the year begins with the seventh month. Seven speaks of Rest, Completion, Perfection, Freedom among others. It is my prayer that all these and more shall be your testimony this month in Jesus name.

But what is God saying to us in the Morning Tea Devotional Family this month of July? It is noted scripturally that every great destiny always attracts great opposition from the kingdom of darkness. You remember how King Herod sought to eliminate the Lord Jesus because His life was a threat to him. Also, Moses' life was spared supernaturally when the decree went that all male children born to the Hebrews should be killed.

Beloved, you have a great destiny in Christ. If you must fulfill this, warfare is a must. Prayer and fasting is a guaranteed platform for victory in spiritual warfare. There's a limit to how far you can go regarding your life and destiny without prayer and fasting. Opposition bows at the command of prayer and fasting. Nehemiah, a slave, became a Governor when prayer and fasting paved way for him in rebuilding the fallen wall of Jerusalem.

Every genuine engager in prayer and fasting always has great testimonies to share.

In view of the above, the month of July, 2020, in the Morning Tea Devotional Family, is our month of: "UNDENIABLE TESTIMONY" (Lk 21:13).

For you not to miss out, I encourage you to engage in this God inspired 21days prayer and fasting which starts today. Prayer guidelines shall come along with daily devotional from tomorrow, God's willing.

PRAYER: As the Lord lives, you shall experience undeniable testimonies this month in Jesus name!

TOPIC: HOW TO CONTINUOUSLY FLOW IN BLESSING - PT 2

Psalms 112:1-3 "Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord...Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever."

As we round up for the month today, I like you to know that sin always attracts curses. The fear of God on the other hand always attracts divine blessings. Check the scriptures, no one who was addicted to sin ever prospered. To enjoy continuous flow of God's blessing, the fear of God is the secret.

What do I mean by the fear of God? The Bible says: "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth…God hates" (Prov 8:13). So, the fear of God means to depart from all evil. If you are a lover of evil, you do not have the fear of God as far as God is concerned and divine blessing will be a mirage to you.

A wise man that has the fear of God, runs away from evil. The Bible says: "A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident" (Prov 14:16). A good example of this is Joseph the slave in the house of Potiphar (Gen 39). Sin is not a friend beloved; but a destroyer!

This is why nothing hinders blessings like sin because it disqualifies us from accessing divine Presence. Everywhere we see God’s blessings, the fear of God is in place. The wages of sin is death while the wages of the fear of God is life more abundant.

This is where we shall draw the curtain for the month. God bless you and increase you, in Jesus name.

PRAYER: Your rain of blessing shall continually fall, in the name of Jesus.

TOPIC: HOW TO CONTINUOUSLY FLOW IN BLESSING

2Sam 6:11"And the ark of the Lord continued in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months: and the Lord blessed Obed-edom, and all his household"

God’s Presence is a master key to continuous flow of divine blessing. The reason so many are not experiencing God's blessing today is because the Blesser (God) which guarantees blessing is not present in their lives. Beloved, until you secure God's presence, you may never gain access to your presents in life.

The reason is because, He who is with you determines what happens in your life. God’s presence is a force that compels the release of blessings to you. In the wilderness, because God was with the children of Israel, they lived a blessed life. The Bible says: "none was feeble among their tribe, none thirst, because the Blesser of life was with them.

Also in Acts of the Apostles, there was none among them that lacked because God’s Presence was so strong among them. Everyone who sincerely retains God’s Presence have blessings as proofs. It is your turn.

To secure God's Presence, among other things, you need to maintain a lifestyle of praise. A lifestyle of praise will attracts God's Presence anyday and anytime. The Bible says: "But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel" (Ps 22:3). I admonish you to set aside quality time between today and tomorrow in quality praise to God and I assure you, your balance of divine blessings shall be released.

PRAYER: Grace for tireless praise to God is coming on you today, in Jesus name.

TOPIC: THE IMPACT OF BLESSING - PT 2

Gen 24:1 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things."

The blessing of God is tangible. You can feel, see and touch it. You can't carry divine blessings on your life and not know it. You will not only know it, people around you will notice that you are blessed. When you're divinely blessed, it means the happenings in your life are not a result of your struggles. If you don’t know this or you have not experienced divine blessings before, you will always think that unless you struggle, you cannot make it in life. 

One of the impacts of blessing is that it makes the carrier to be wondered at. He/she will just be an amazement to people because of the way things are in his/her life. How could Abraham who started as a wonderer become so blessed that he could house, train and feed three hundred and eighteen servants? (Gen 14:14).

Look at the testimony of his servant below on the extent of God's blessing on Abraham:

“And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herbs, and silver, and gold, and menservants, maidservants, and camels, and asses" (Gen 24:35). Heaven will always assist someone that is blessed by God by sending what he or she needs in due season. This shall be your portion from today, in Jesus name.

What more? Blessing makes you Indestructible. The Bible says "…Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it…" (Isaiah 65:. We are indestructible when we carry genuine blessings. You shall not be a victim of untimely death, in Jesus name.

PRAYER: The Lord shall give you a big surprise this weekend, in Jesus name.

TOPIC: THE IMPACT OF BLESSING

Gen 27:1-3 "And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him...And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people."

Let me start by saying that it is the blessing of God that turns a man who travails to a man who prevails. It has the capacity to turn one who groans to one who grows. It doesn't matter the trials in the life of one that carries divine blessings, he/she will triumph.

Beloved, know that the blessings in your life is what will empower you to prevail in the face of any situations. Jacob is a perfect example. The blessings of his father upon him sustained him in his journey in life. The blessing of God upon a life empowers him to prevail where others travail.

I won’t let you go until you bless me, was what Jacob said; and then, God showed up and blessed him. The angel asked him "what is your name?" He said, Jacob. Then he said, your name shall no longer be Jacob, but Israel.

"And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed (Gen 32:28).

From this story, we discovered that divine blessings change people’s status. The blessing of God upon Jacob changed him from Jacob to Israel; from a person to a nation! His travail ended by an encounter with blessings.

You are reading this today, write this down, before the end of this month, you will encounter some strange blessings that will change your life permanently. It doesn't matter the struggle in your life right now, as long as the blessing of God is upon you, you shall overcome!

PRAYER: The struggle is over, in Jesus name.

Exo 20:12 "Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee."

One of the avenues through which blessing flows into one's life is through earthly parents (Read what Isaac told Esau in Gen 27:4). We need to attract a parental blessing to gain speed and a fulfilling life. Unfortunately for Esau, he missed the blessing. Take a look at the life of your parents (if they are still alive) and analyse the role you are playing in their lives or the role you played when they were alive. It determines what they say to you.

Rebecca understood perfectly the importance of father's blessing in determining destiny, hence, her advice to Jacob the younger son. Beloved, you need a blessing from your parent, go for it. It was the blessing of Isaac that caused Jacob to prevail more than Esau, in spite of all his challenges (Gen 27:22-29).

The blessings of our parents are part of our making. We are buildings with many blocks (of blessings). Parental blessing is part of these blocks. The Bible says: "Honour thy father and mother...That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth" (Eph 6:2-3).

It was the blessing of Jacob that prevailed in the life of Joseph. Jacob said to him: "The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph..." (Gen 49:26). So, there are automatic blessings that accrue to you through the parental channel. You must get to a point where you have such blessings proclaimed on you.

PRAYER: It's a new day for you, in Jesus name. You're breaking forth.

TOPIC: CHANNEL OF BLESSING - PT 2

2Kings 7:1 "Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria."

There are different avenues through which the blessing of God flows into our life as mentioned yesterday. One, blessing flows directly from God to us. We saw examples of this in the lives of Noah and Abraham.

Today, we also understand scripturally that blessings flow from genuine servants of God to us. This is called "Prophetic or Priestly Blessings." For instance, God gave Balaam commandment to bless, he proclaimed the blessings and God backed it up (Num 23:20). Genuine men of God still carry genuine blessings today. May God connect you with one, in Jesus name.

When genuine servants of God stand in the name of the Lord to release a blessing, be sure that God's integrity is committed to confirm it. That is what today's scripture pointed out, read the whole chapter.

The Bible says:

"That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited..." (Isaiah 44:26).

It’s not enough to have the blessings of the Lord beloved; we should also yawn for priestly blessings from genuine servants of God. The reason is because, in most cases, the blessings of the Lord are always channeled through His servants (1Kings 17 & 2Kings 4). As one of the privileged servants of God in this end time, I declare you blessed today, in Jesus name.

TOPIC: CHANNEL OF BLESSING

Gen 9:1 "And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth."

What do I mean by channel of blessing? I mean an avenue through which blessings flow into our life. This shall be our focus this week. I welcome you to the new week.

First of all, from scriptures, we understand that God's blessing basically flows from Him to us. He is the Source of all blessings. To Abraham He said: "By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee" (Gen 22:16-17).

This scripture shows to us that we can encounter the raw blessings of God directly from Him. He remains the Source of all genuine blessing. However, such blessings flow in respond to our obedience to His rational and irrational instructions. It's disobedience that disqualifies one from God's blessings.

God blessed Jabez directly, and granted him that which he requested (1Chro 4:9-10). He blessed Jacob also and changed him from a person to a nation to validate the word of God that says: "A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time (Gen 32:26-28; Isaiah 60:22).

The truth is that God has not stopped turning men to nations like Jacob; He is still doing that today. The hidden blessing in you shall come alive so much that you shall become a nation this year, in Jesus name.

What God did yesterday, He is still doing today and will keep doing it tomorrow. He is the same all the time (Heb 13:. The nation in you is about to emerge. Be obedient to Him!

TOPIC: ACCESS KEY TO THE BLESSING OF GOD

Rev 5:12 "Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing."

I want to let you know today that the blessing of God can only be accessed on the basis of salvation. If you give all you have and are not born again, you will still lack genuine blessing. Every blessing in the Kingdom can only flow to us when we are saved. In other words, the salvation of our souls is the access key to the realm of genuine blessing.

In today's text, the Bible says that Jesus Christ was slain to receive for us power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and 'BLESSING.' Beloved, you need to take a definite and practical step to be born again if you will experience the reality of God's blessing in your life.

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).

Salvation is not in Church attendance as some think. It is one thing to be a member of a Church and it is another thing to be born again. You may have a family Church and bear a Christian name, that does not mean you're saved. You need to surrender your life to Jesus to be saved.

If you're ready or you want to rededicate your life to Him, this is an opportunity to do so and you will start to see the reality of the blessing of God on your life.

PRAYER: Say this prayers: Lord Jesus, I come to you today. I am a sinner. Forgive me all my sins. Cleanse me with your blood. Today, I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you Jesus for saving me.

TOPIC: GIVINGS THAT GUARANTEE BLESSING

Psalms 41:1 "Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

It is giving that facilitates the release of God's blessings on our life. The Bible is full of examples of people whose giving lifestyles provoked the release of unusual blessings on their lives.

Surely, "A man’s gift maketh room for him and bringeth him before great men" (Pro18:16). Gift in this context is what you give to benefit another person. This act has the capacity to bring blessing to you.

There are three givings that guarantee return that I want to point out:

(1) Prophetic Offering: This is giving to men of God. The widow of Zarephath and the Shunamite woman were blessed with abundance and fruitfulness by reason of what they gave to prophets Elijah and Elisha respectively (1Kings 17:10-24 & 2Kings 4:1-37). Their acts of kindness provoked God's kindness towards them and their blessing was released.

(2) Giving to the Poor: The poor in this context is someone who is in need. When you give to them, you provoke the blessing of God upon your life without knowing. The Bible says: "He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again" (Pro 19:17). You have them all around you. If you notice their needs and you have the capacity, give to them.

(3) Giving to your Parents: Many are shying away from this responsibility. They say their parents are the reason behind their problems. They never knew that their negligence to take care of their parents is the reason. Your gift to your parents irrespective of their wealth or wickedness can provoke the blessing of God.

PRAYER: The Lord shall raise you and make you a blessing to people around you in Jesus name.

TOPIC: ATTRACTING THE HIDDEN BLESSING - PT 3

2Cor 8:12 "For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not."

Giving always produces abundance. When you give willingly of your possessions as a material expression of your spiritual obedience to God, He blesses you in return. This is irrespective of whether you consider yourself rich or poor.

Look at it this way: A farmer who plants just a few seeds will get only a small crop, but if he plants much, he will reap much. Beloved, you're to make up your mind as to how much you give for the work of God. Don't be forced or cajoled to give more than you are willing to, for cheerful givers are the ones God blesses.

God is able to make it up to you by giving you everything you need and more, so that there will not only be enough for your own needs, but plenty left over to give joyfully to others. For God, who gives seed to the farmer to plant, and later on, good crops to harvest and eat, will give you more and more seed to plant and will make it grow so that you can give away more and more fruit from your harvest.

It is true that most Christians have not learned to give, either out of their abundance or out of their poverty, and therefore, are not experiencing the reality of their hidden blessing.

You can never outgive God. It is a law of God that His returned blessings always greatly exceed what you give to Him. The principle of abundant blessing is not just for the rich, it is for everyone who obeys God and follows this principles of giving.

PRAYER: Your labour of love for the kingdom shall not go unrewarded, in Jesus name.

Phil 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Glory to God for giving us the gift of another day. Today your hidden blessing shall manifest, in Jesus name. In today's scripture, the Church in Philippi willingly gave to Paul their substance and he declared that God will supply all their needs. That prophetic blessing came to pass in their lives.

God always blesses whosoever makes a sacrifice to serve him. No one has ever followed this divine principle without a blessing as proofs. Testimonies are abound in the Bible and in our contemporary world. Anything you sow in this life, according to the will of God, brings abundant blessing to your life.

Galatians 6:7 says: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

What you sow is what you reap. If you sow little, you will reap little, if you sow much, you will reap much. Seed time and harvest shall not cease (Gen 8:22). Whenever there is an opportunity to give for the work of God, beloved, give without wasting time, and our God, the righteous judge, will consider all you have done and honour you with abundance of blessing.

As long as you go on sowing to God and His work, you will and never lack. Abraham was blessed. Solomon, Isaac, Jacob and even the Israelites on their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land made sacrifices to the Lord and
were all blessed abundantly

1Kings 3:4 "And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar."

Happy new week. This week, your hidden blessing shall manifest, in Jesus name.

This week, our focus shall be how to attract our hidden blessing. In the above text, God blessed Solomon with wisdom and wealth because he made a sacrifice of a thousand burnt offerings to God. The understanding is that sacrifice is what attract blessing to our life.

Beloved, one thing I know is that whenever you make a sacrifice toward God’s work, it attracts the attention of God who in turn appreciates your good work with a blessing even more than the measure of your sacrifice (See Lk 6:38).

As the above scripture puts it in verse 5, God appeared to Solomon and asked him to present his desires. What a blessing for the Owner of heaven and earth, to ask you to present your desire. Solomon was blessed with wisdom, riches and honour far above what he asked for. That is what sacrifice can do. It attracts more than expected.

I like you to know that a place of sacrifice is a meeting point between God and man. God has not changed and will not change His principles. Give out something sacrificially today towards the work of God and you will attract God's blessings to yourself in a way you never bargained for.

Noah built an altar and made a sacrifice. The odour of the sacrifice pleased the Lord, and God said, "Never again will I curse the ground." (Gen 8:20-21).

PRAYER: The blessing that you never bargained for shall come upon you this week, in Jesus name.

Galatians 6:9 "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

You are blessed so you can be a blessing to others. I cannot overemphasise this point. However, the system of the world is give to those who have the capacity to give back to you. But that is not the system of God. You lose nothing blessing people, especially those in need. You can't go down raising others that are down, no, it's not possible. You can't be erased raising others. You rather get elevated doing so.

I want to let you know at this juncture that blessing other people, especially those in need, is sowing seeds into your future. You will definitely find what you give waiting for you in the future.

Psalms 41:1-2 says: "Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies."

Make yourself someone who keeps elevating others and you will never find yourself going down. When you are a linkage to the lifting of others, you will become an unforgettable reference point in life.

Reach out to someone this month and your hidden blessing shall manifest for all to see, in Jesus name. You are blessed to be a blessing.

2Cor 1:4 "Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."

Beloved, when the Lord walked through the valley of the shadow of death with you, when He stood by you during a faith-stretching health crisis or financial meltdown, He did it with more on His mind than just your welfare. He cares for you, but He also likes to see a profitable return on every investment He makes on your life.

According to apostle Paul in today's text, God is saying to you and me: "The same comfort that I gave you, I expect you to give others." He did not give you that financial blessing just so you could be numbered among the richest. He expects you to give the same financial blessing to someone else who is in need.

Maybe you should have gone to jail or should have been dead, bankrupt, or sick, but God's mercy covered you. You are still alive by the grace and mercy of God. God is saying: "In My mercy I kept you when you should have been caught. I preserved you when you should have been dead. I lifted you up when you should have gone bankrupt." Now it is your turn to comfort others who are going through the same situation. This is the secret on how to manifest the hidden blessing.

PRAYER: I pray that the Holy Spirit will teach you how to extend to others the same blessing that you have received, in Jesus name.

Matt 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

God wants us to seek and think about His kingdom in virtually everything we do. When you ask God to bless you, is it for the promotion of His kingdom? God always looks at the motives of the heart, He knows whether or not you are thinking primarily about yourself or for the purpose of His kingdom when you ask Him to bless you.

Remember that God blesses you so you can be a blessing to others, and He knows
whether or not this principle is rooted in your heart or not. Understand that God gives you all His blessings so you can distribute them in many ways. There are some things you are to pass down to your children and their children after them. Other things you are to distribute to others. God has given you everything you have and everything you are so you can be a blessing to others. That's the primary reason for the blessing.

When you have the kingdom of God in your heart you can then ask God to bless you with proper motives because you know that you can use those blessings as tools to reach people for God. Once you understand that everything God gives you essentially belongs to someone else, He will start giving you more! Those blessings belong to Him, and He invests them in you so you can bless someone else.

If He gives you a house full of new furniture or another car for instance, don't sell the old and don't call people to ask if they want to buy it. Give away the old and do it to glorify God! Tell them God told you to bless them because He blessed you! This will make you to enjoy abundance of blessings in return.

PRAYER: God will make you an answer to someone's prayers today, in Jesus name.

Gen 12:3 "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."

Understanding the purpose of a thing is what helps one to maximize the benefit thereof. God wants His children to be blessed, but the question is, why? Why does He want His children blessed? We need to understand this. Myles Munroe once said, "When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable."

The truth is, God wants to bless His children (you) basically so that they (you) can be a blessing. God blesses you not for you to consume it on your lust but so you can be a blessing to others. You never get blessed anymore than you are committed to be a blessing.

Abraham was not only blessed, all the generations after him were blessed. God said to him: "...and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed" (Gen 12:3). So, Abraham did not just have prosperity but he had prosperity with posterity.

Beloved, God will not bless you so you can accumulate wealth. The life of a man does not consist in the abundance of things he has (Lk 12:15). You are not going to be blessed by God to be an accumulator but to be a distributor. He will not bless you to be a collector rather He will bless you so that you can be a channel of blessing. Rise up to that responsibility beloved, and you will keep growing in His blessings.

PRAYER: The Lord shall empower you today to be a blessing, in Jesus name.

TOPIC: RIGHT POSITIONING FOR GOD'S BLESSING

Luke 19:5 "And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house."

We discover from scriptures that being faster, stronger and wiser does not guarantee God's blessing. What guarantees the blessings of God upon one's life is to be at the right place at the right time. Being at the right place God wants you to be is what causes you to receive God's blessings. Zachaeus in today's text positioned himself well.

The truth is that, God, who holds time and chance in His Hands, has the power to put you and me at the right place at the right time if we are sensitive to His leading.

He did this for Ruth. Ruth trusted God for favour when she was looking for a field in which to glean. The Bible says: "she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech" (Ruth 2:3). Of all the fields in Bethlehem, she happened to end up in Boaz’s field, and he was a close relative of Elimelech, her father-in-law.

This meant that Boaz was her potential kinsman redeemer, someone who could redeem her from her plight as a young, childless widow in a foreign land.

Boaz also happened to be a man of great wealth (Ruth 2:1), and as it turned out, he was willing to redeem Ruth (Ruth 4:9-10). All these right happenings are indications that God placed Ruth in the right place at the right time.

This week, I see God placing you at the right place at the right time, where you will meet the right people, do the right things that will result in explosion of blessing in your life, in Jesus name!

PRAYER: Your feet shall be ordered by the Lord this week, in Jesus name.

TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING HOW PROPHETIC WORD WORKS - PT 4

1Tim 1:18 "This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare."

One of the vital demands for fulfilment of prophecies is prayer. As I often say, prophecies are not to entertain or excite us; prophecies are the divine words ordained by God for fulfilment. They are the expressions of God’s thoughts and God’s purpose for our life and it is for us to have pre knowledge of what is going to happen per time.

The scripture says: "The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand (Isaiah 14:24).

However, you cannot see prophecies fulfilled without taking responsibility. No matter how potent a prophetic word is, it cannot fulfil itself, you, the receiver has a role to play.

I will like to say that it is only the hand of God that can perform the word spoken by the mouth of God (1kings 8:15). This is why we will always need the help of God to see prophecies fulfilled and this help is accessible in prayer (Heb 4:16). You must be ready to war with every prophetic word on the altar of prayer. They are not watched to fulfillment.

I encourage you to take the word to God on the altar of prayer – you don’t receive prophecy and fold your hand or go to sleep. Reach out in prayer today so as to reach forth to your answers.

PRAYER: There shall be a performance of every prophecy on your path this month, in Jesus name.
