Travel / Nigerians Executed by munai(f): 10:27pm On Jun 27, 2008 |
Nigerians executed in Indonesia Two Nigerian convicts have been executed in Indonesia, seven years after being caught trying to smuggle heroin into the country. Samuel Okoye and Hansen Nwaolisa were executed by firing squad in the early hours of Friday, officials said. The executions were timed to mark the UN anti-drugs day, Indonesia's anti-narcotics agency reportedly said. Drug traffickers are often sentenced to death in Indonesia, but the penalty has not been carried out since 2004. The two men, aged 37 and 40, have been held at a high-security prison on Nusakambangan island, central Java, since their conviction for trying to smuggle some 7kg (16lb) of heroin into Indonesia. "A firing squad of 12 people executed them in an outdoor area some 3km [2 miles] away from their prison," provincial prisons chief Bambang Winahyo told AFP news agency. The two had made pleas for clemency to the president in 2004, but they were turned down. |

Romance / Re: Should I Attend My Ex-boyfriend's Wedding? by munai(f): 5:18am On Mar 21, 2007 |
Move on, get a lie, you seem to be in denial, just move on! You go to the wedding and then what? Are you a maid of honour, MC or chief organizer?, no! Just an Ex , I know its hard and painful but man move the on, period, otherwise you will look desperate. On another hand unless he invited you, which I would find offensive, more like "Come and witness my happy life", you fill me? |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by munai(f): 8:06am On Mar 02, 2007 |
I know what I am about to say will tick alot of European soccer fans, but here I go I think its (luck of a better word) waste of time and money supporting european teams, firstly, when you purchase the authetic jersey, a certain percentage goes to the club hence more money fixing the football federation of what team you support. YA!YA! its your money and you can do whatever you want, but who are you making rich at the end of the day? You know the anwer so thank you very much. Its not just naija people but across africa, now these are the same people that deny us visa, calls us immigrants etc, do youu think they consider your contributions and time you spend screaming off your lungs "Goal" or sing Ole Ole Ole? You know all the names of all players in the time, you never miss the games, you even get emotions and yet, look at Beckam, I dont even know his correct name, he is now freaking collecting millions now that he has moved to USA, Has he donated even a kobo for you? You have the answer! I know that african soccer is not interesting, corruption, traing facilities but Dude shane on you, you go make europe rich? Are you kidding me, ole ole ole to you. I know you have remarks but hey! bring it on! |

Basically its nude pics, you know! Uncomprimising like exposing 'those' body parts or explict acts. I agree with you that pictures are personal and any one can do whatever they want, but take Miss New Jersery 2007, If I am not mistaken, she got disqualified for past pics. Also in USA employers can conduct a background check on a potential employee and no matter, your qualification or experience YOU may not get hired. |

Crime / Must Read: Think Twice Before Sending Your Photo Online by munai(f): 6:20am On Feb 24, 2007 |
Consider what you will reap after sowing your photos on line esp. those abroad or Africa? Most jobs do a background check and most things you post without thinking twice will haunt you. You may be young now but 5, 10 or 20 years from now, like when you get a good job and your employers conduct a check on you, uncompromising pictures. Don't say you were not warned, it will haunt you so bad and don't forget internet is public and free for all! |

Joy your story seems fake, you said you are from singapore then you say your boyfriend just came from Jos after a trip from Lagos. He wants to go overseas for job hunting then again you are in singapore Its really rare for a foreigner within a year esp. from singapore to know Los, Lagos then trip and mix up stories, this thread is really plastic and tired. Stop playing games. |

Fashion / Re: Tell Us About Your Nails by munai(f): 1:47am On Dec 06, 2006 |
Halle,Oprah and Mary dont do fake nails, you are right taht Mary J USED TO IN THE PAST, not anymore coz she is a proper Diva now |
Fashion / Re: Tell Us About Your Nails by munai(f): 1:34am On Dec 05, 2006 |
I have short nails, basically kept clean and no nail polish. , just simple nail cutter, I am good to go In my opinion, Oprah with all her billions has short nails, no polish no drama, I got inspired, I have nothing against anyone who does their nails, I just would rather spend the extra 'dough' for something else, but if you enjoy fake nails, have fun! If you really observe though 'some Divas' non of them do fake nails or nail polish e.g Oprah,Beyonce, Mary J or Halle Berry. |

I guess taking an HIV test is voluntary. Past history is important as it factors the chances, it took me 5 years to go for a test and it was worth it coz I am now aware of my status and I have a free mind unlike worrying about all those escapades( you know one night stand with the dude without teeth ha!ha!). It not easy but worth it, |
