oluwafemi113: Al-Mustapha and press freedom :The 'authoritarian' Chairman of AIT,Dr Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi sacked two senior editorial staff, Gbenga Aruleba and Imoni Amarere over the interview of Mr.Richard Akinnola,frontline social critic and human rights activist with Aruleba on AIT two days ago on the acquittal of Major Hamza Al Mustapha where Mr.Akinnola strongly condemned the 'miscarriage of justice' of the judgment as a political judgment to pacify the North ahead of 2015 general elections.From a reliable source,Chief Dokpesi threw caution to the wind as he stormed the studio even when the bulletin was still on and stopped the bulletin after which he lambasted Aruleba over this controversial interview which he said was in bad taste.Sadly,Dokpesi followed this up yesterday evening by sacking Aruleba and Amarere, both are well-trained,talented and experienced broadcasters, went ahead and announced their sack in the 8pm news bulletin of last night.If this is not a gag on free press,then fellow Nigerians must invent another word to describe this jungle justice in a democratic Nigeria.I am very sure late Chief Gani Fawehinmi must be turning with anger,hatred and disappointment in his grave right now.Which way Nigeria?Whose political agenda is this Businessman pursuing?Let's discuss objectively fellow Nigerians.

What I stated was a solution for Amaechi. Believe me, this is the wisest solution. In fact, That is the ONLY solution. someone must do it this way. I think Amaechi should follow this route. I stated an example of my state. I'm not emotional when it comes to politics. However, human begins will always justify their actions, no matter what you say.

Believe me, Amaechi is the one to Stop this mess through dialogue.

We should Tell Amaechi the Truth for goodness sake! HE SHOULD CALL EVERY ONE TO A TABLE, TALK AND GET OUT OF PDP! HE CAN NOT BE IN PDP AND BE ROMANCING WITH THE OPPOSITION THE WAY HE IS DOING.

jonart: I'm sure by now you all have heard that Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi donated $100, 000 to music producer, OJB Jezreel, who is down with a kidney ailment.

The money was transferred to OJB's account on Friday July 5th. Lagos State governor, Raji Fashola was also in touch with OJB's family and facilitated the stages of dialysis OJB is undergoing at LASUTH. The ailing pioneer music producer has thanked Governor Amaechi for his generosity.

"I really thank God for Governor Amechi's kind heart. All I can say is that God will fight his battles as he saved my life. I also thank all Nigerians from all works of life who heeded my appeal for funds to go for my kidney transplant. God bless everyone.
