We have so many foreign based players who are in top form in their various clubs, yet our national team is literally struggling to win matches.

That's so sad.

Nigerians forget things too quickly..

From 2014 the Government was borrowing to pay salaries,,
Nigeria was gradually going down..

Ngozi OkonjoIwela was already lamenting.

Buhari came in and gave huge bail out to almost all states .

But seriously mehn I no fit argue.

Have it your way.
I'm not talking about Jonathan or buhari. The standard of living of the average Nigerian was under them was fair and I pointed that out in my previous post.

The problem I'm having is with Tinubu. Cos he's administration has no direction. No one under him seem to know what they're doing.

That's why there's so much suffering in the land.

Not a supporter of Jonathan but that was a decade ago.

If PDP had continued in power, with all the inefficiencies of the country, lack of diversification, COVID 19 issues, oil instability, endemic and worsening corruption under PDP too,
Nigeria would have retrogressed from that point.

Perhaps not as bad as this but things would still have been bad today.
I disagree. Cos as bad as Buhari was, he met fuel at N97 and after 8 years left it at N189. It wasn't even up to N100 naira increment after 8 years in power.

I wouldn't say much about the dollar tho, cos the collapse of the naira was horrible under him. But you would agree with me that the standard of living was still fair under him.

The difference between Buhari and Jonathan was that Jonathan had competent hands who were managing the economy. So despite the visible corruption, they managed to keep the economy moving.

Tinubu on the other hand is worse than Jonathan and Buhari. He met fuel at N189, and within a year it's over 1k. He met dollar at N700 and within a year it's over N1,600.

If Tinubu spends 8 years like Buhari, believe me the kind of poverty that would be in this country would be record breaking cos he has absolutely no plan on how to put things back in order. And worse of all, those around him are incompetent.

Not holding brief for the wife however, what is your definition of a 'good' marriage?
My definition of a good marriage has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

What is wring is wrong. You women should learn to call out your fellow women who are in the wrong. Cos I don't see why a woman who is legally married would sleep and get pregnant for some else, then peg it on her husband.

If she was tired of the marriage, she could have simply walked away.

I wouldn't argue that Jonathan's administration wasn't riddled with corruption, but they had a heart for the people.

Life during his era was good. As a graduate with 150k salary, you can start a family, rent a decent flat and buy a portable car.

Today, people earning 500k are crying because those in power don't care. They're out to loot this country to the bone.

Oga, which bank will operate like as you say, ie give a loan to a wife using the husbands property as collateral because their name is similar. Omo, even sabinus microfinance merchant bank won't do that. Even if a man dies, do you think the wife can sell his property or take loan from the bank without a letter of administration? In that case why can't she just walk into the bank and demand access to his account as their names are similar and she is his wife?
Seems you are very ignorant of basic laws.
Then it's obviously a skit.

Both Dangote and NNPCl are taking Nigerians for granted. How can you refine fuel in Nigeria and sell it for over 1k. How on earth do they want to justify that?

These people are just taking advantage of us cos they know that religion and tribe has divided us so badly that their tribesmen would defend them on empty stomachs.

It's a pity.

I don't think that this story is real. The bank can't just give yoy a loan simply because you have access to the documents. They will ask for it to be in your name or for the owner to co sign on the loan. Something is fishy here with this story.
It's real because she's bearing the name of her husband. So she can easily say that her husband provided her with the documents as collateral for the loan.

And if the amount of money she's expecting to access is much less than the cost of the property, believe me, once the banks confirms the originality of the documents, they'll grant her the loan.
Properties / Re: Wife Uses Husband Home To Take Loan Without His Consent & Defaulted (Pics/Video) by Nazgul: 7:56pm On Sep 26
MrBrownJay1:
Ok fair enough.. so if armed robbers come to your home and steal your documents (or better yet, you friends come stay with you and steal it), they can thereafter go to the bank and use your home/land ownership papers to ask for a bank loan WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE LAND/HOME OWNER?!

If your land documents gets stolen, you'd be expected to report immediately. If you were issued a C of upon purchase of your property, your C of O would come with a unequie serial number and an issuance date. which once reported would be deactivated provided you can provide receipts of purchase and other evidence to prove that the property belongs to you.

So whoever is buying the property, if he's wise he has to go to the state ministry of lands to confirm the originality of the document in his possession before making payment. Or else his money would enter one chance and can be arrested for theft.

The woman in question took the documents without her husband's knowledge to get the loan. So since he wasn't aware that his property documents were missing he couldn't file any report.

If you check very well you'd discover that none of the men who impregnated her has the capacity to provide for her like her husband.

Sometimes I honestly ask myself what do women want? You'd see a woman in a good marriage, the husband is doing his best to provide for the family, yet she's going behind his back to sleep with men who are not up to his level.

makes no goddamn sense whatsoever... so again, if tomorrow i rent a car, i can bring the original documents of that car to the bank and get a loan (without the consent of the owner of that said car)?

so anyone who has any original title (that dont belong to them) can just waltz into any bank and use these documents to ask for a loan?!?!?
In Nigeria if you rent a car, the original documents of the car wouldn't be given to you. The company you rented it from would provide a driver, your job is to sit like a boss and enjoy your ride. Besides banks in Nigeria don't accept cars as collateral for loans cos anything can happen to a car. It could get stolen or could have an accident.

how can anyone take a loan with collateral that they dont own?!?! so tomorrow i can rent a car and thereafter use that same car to ask for a loan?!?!?! ZOOGERIA INDEED!

As long as she has access to the original documents of the house, whoever owns it doesn't really matter. Cos the bank or whoever granted her access to the loan are only interested in the originality of the collateral and not who owns it. Bad kids do this all the time. They steal their parents house documents and sell off the property

The mistake the man made was revealing to her where the original documents of his house was.

Romance / Re: Please I Need Your Advice by Nazgul: 10:11pm On Sep 25
simple87:
Please, i will strongly advise you to encourage your sister to go and do nursing even if it is going to school of nursing and not a university, this is far better than the course she is doing at the moment.
Globally, there is a demographic change with world population rapidly ageing and birth rate declining, hence demand for healthcare personnel will continue to be on the rise.

I saw some arguments here that nurses earn peanut in nigeria, but then they still have job. Unfortunately, most people who did the other course are unemployed, frustrated and dejected with life. Beside, I know of many nurses that earn more than half a million bad as it bad in Nigeria. Equally, the opportunities abroad are limitless for nurses.

All the best to you and your sister in whatever decision you guys agreed on.
@bolded
Easy with your lie biko.

A matron who is a nurse at federal level and has spent years working as a nurse earns about 300k.

Entry level nurses at federal level earn between 120-150. And you should know that you'd need serious connections to get such jobs at federal level. Meaning that you might end up with with the peanuts from private and state hospitals.

No nurse earns up to 500k. What are you doing as a nurse that you want to earn such amount?

If you pay a nurse 500k, how much would you pay a consultant or surgeon?

Why do you think that thousands of our qualified nurses are fleeing the country, it's because they're poorly paid. There's a global need for nurses and they're well paid overseas that's why I made it clear that if his parents can afford to send her overseas, she should go ahead and study it.

But if she plans to settle down in Nigeria and work with her nursing certificate, she shouldn't waste her time cos nursing is very limited. If she doesn't have any connection to work at federal level, she might end up working in a private hospital earning less than 50k.

That's the reality about nursing.

But what you don’t know is most people don’t know what you wrote, people always choose nursing because of prestige and past glory just like law, unknowing for them that it doesn’t really pay again like before.
Law is even better reason being that some firms have a legal department. So you can easily be employ there and earn a reasonable salary.

As for nursing, you're not needed anywhere aside the medical field cos most cooperate firms have HMO for their staffs. So they don't need a medical department.

And the medical field is already overcrowded. So you either accept peanuts or remain unemployed.
Romance / Re: Please I Need Your Advice by Nazgul: 7:06pm On Sep 25
Tohsynetita1:
So, you are telling us that other courses are hot cake in market compare to nursing?
Nursing is very limiting because after passing your National nursing exams you're limited to the medical field. And like I stated before, it's not even like you'll be handsomely paid as a nurse.

Nurses here in Nigeria earn peanuts. So if you have no plans of going abroad, I don't see any reason why you should waste your time on it. I personally know a distance relative who studied nursing. The private hospital where she works pays her 65k per month. And she's married with kids.

As for other courses. If you've ever worked in cooperate world, you'd agree with me that some of your colleagues right there in the office, studied ridiculous courses. I once had a colleague in one of the firms I worked who studied Physics Education, another studied Social Studies.

The reason why they got employed is that at entry level, most firms see you all as novices regardless of what you studied in school. That's why they immediately train you upon employment. These trainings can sometimes last up to a month or more depending on the unit you're assigned to.
Romance / Re: Please I Need Your Advice by Nazgul: 3:21pm On Sep 25
All those shouting nursing, my question for you guys is how much do nurses earn in Nigeria?

You'd be shocked to learn that most private hospitals don't pay their nurses up to 100k, and the ones in federal and state owned hospitals don't earn up to 150k.

Most people who go for nursing do so because of its high demand abroad. They don't go into it to work in Nigeria cos your salary in Nigeria as a nurse is useless.

If your parents have no plans of sending her abroad, please allow her continue with the course she's currently studying. She'll definitely get a good job once she's through cos I have a friend (a lodge mate actually) who studied PAE (parasitology and entomology) and he's currently working with GTbank.

Most prospective employers ask for your fist degree because it's the basic requirement needed to qualify you for the job. Once you're employed, they'll train you on what they want you to do regardless of your field.

Honestly I was only trying to make peace and be friends if that will allow me to be close to my daughter again ..I dont have any other intentions or any intimacy plans .
Chatting with someone whom you said blocked you for some years and immediately requested for a hug from her is something that only teenagers would do.

If you truly want to make peace, you should do it in a more mature manner.

You call her and tell her the reason why you called (to visit your daughter) and not beat around the bush like you did in your chat cos she'd insult you more. Once you've set up an appointment with her, honor the appointment by visiting your daughter and give her (your daughter) what you bought for her, then leave without exchanging unnecessary words with her (your baby mama).

If you maintain this method for the next 2 visits you make to see your kid, by the 3rd one, she'll be calling you sir once she sees your call. And you'll even notice that the way she communicates with you would change. She'll become more respectful towards you. Girls respect guys who display a bit of masculinity towards them.
