Sports / Re: Best Soccer Analyst On Radio/TV? by ndubest(m): 9:27am On Apr 03, 2008
Its seems this forum is for fans of NTA, AIT, BRILLA, RAY POWER and STV

whats of Delta TV grin grin, Harrison Ocholor and Sylvester eehhh

may be will should be including the station against the names of the analyst smiley smiley

Okay for me

Mike Mayaki is very good if he is commenting on EPL esp with Man U

Mitchel Obi is good too

larry zhanmoje is good at prolonging presentations with long and "dragging" grammar cheesy cheesy

Charles Anazodo is tooooo pro-chelsea for an analyst

In my opinion, SEASONED analysts should not tell us they are fans of this team or that team (AT LEAST ON AIR)
because that way we will never see their analysis as objective but passionately biased

you can always tip a team to win based on available stats but passionately supporting a team against clear odds is not analysis (EVEN THE GUYS ON SUPER SPORTS DO THE SAME THING, wish makes the analysis emotional instead of objective)

may be we should take cue from BBC and ESPN analysts

@Viperman

You have in the past made noise that all your cars come into through the PORT grin grin

Does it mean that statement is not true

Bringing in car through the land borders is illegal

surely the customs will collect something and do it for you but does that make it LEGITIMATE

I think LEGITIMACY is the main question here

I wonder why BBC likes giving popularity to Jose Murinho

If he sneezes it will be in the head line

if he smiles the same thing

what is the big deal about his simple comment to derserve this head line

he said what every coach will say and i wonder why it became headline news

No, it is not because he is a Northerner
It is because he is ignorant, condescending and a revisionist

And why didnt they use some of the "Swiss" money to develop the North?

Of all the northern millionares, how many of them have dared to set up industries

Even dangote that managed through government assistance is employing southerns

may be other Northerns like Mallam (abi teacher) Bello should take a cue from him instead of screaming foul

This name mallam bello reminds me of "MALLAM BELLO" IN THE POPULAR NTA SOAP "AREA 11 CENTRE" cheesy cheesy cheesy

he is trying to be in line so as not to fall casualty of the imminent cabinet over haul
Politics / Re: Unity Bank CEO Says The South Controls Nigeria's Economy by ndubest(m): 3:00pm On Mar 06, 2008
so the educated men in southern nigeria got their economic wealth through government policies??

Instead of sending the kids to school or giving them free education, they just keep them as al majiries to fight their UNHOLY WARS

now he is blaming the south and the government for backwardness of the north

i wonder how many years since our 48 yr independence that a southern has ruled this country

am really disappointed by that MD/CEO's comment
he should better go for adult education and grab an MBA if he doesnt have one already
so as to understand the basic principles of economics OF DEMAND AND SUPPLY
Politics / Re: Nigerian Teenager Wins British Parliamentary Debate by ndubest(m): 1:08pm On Mar 06, 2008
I hope this is not a political statement

they should better give the money NOW to the parents

or pay in advance to the school chosen by the parents

if not by the time the boy will get to university Fashola would have been out of government and another Governor will have a different story
Health / Re: The Aids Scourge (ever Seen/known Anyone With The Disease?) by ndubest(m): 1:01pm On Mar 06, 2008
currently in nigeria, ALL the Teaching Hospitals and Federal Medical Centres have the FREE HIV/AIDS programme

so you can visit the one nearest to you to see for yourself

even some of the Mission and General Hosptials in the states are providing the free services now courtesy of PEPFAR and GFTAM
Politics / Re: Efcc Can't Arrest Odili, Court Rules by ndubest(m): 11:41am On Mar 06, 2008
Legal luminaries please come to my aid here

does it mean that this man's administration will perpertually not be investigated (assuming efcc did not appeal)

does the court of law have the right to ask a body duliy constituted by law not to do its constitutionally obliged functions

is this a ploy by the Judicairy to make more money for their NBA colleauge knowing well that EFCC will appeal

is this a  way of delaying justice for

if odili is clean (as he claims), why is he afraid of investigation (not arrest yet ooo)

ATIMES I GET CONFUSED BY THE NIGERIAN LEGAL SYSTEM OR MAY BE THE JUDGES THEMSELVES undecided undecided sad sad

ONE DAY A JUDGE WILL GIVE PERPETUAL INJUCTION TO NAFDAC RESTRAINING THEM FROM CHECKING FOR FAKE DRUGS  shocked shocked shocked grin grin grin
Sports / Re: The Epl Teams Are The Best! by ndubest(m): 11:24am On Mar 06, 2008
The number of teams from a country that advanced does not necessarily determine how good the league is
its actually reduces the earnings of the clubs from that country, because the TV right money is shared among the teams
one team more money, four teams, same money divided by four

The team that finallly wins is what counts in the long run

if you remember in the past seasons

2006 and 2007, we had like three EPL team in the last four of UCL but they never go their hand on the ultimate prize

unlike in 2003 when three seria A teams were in the last four and made sure the final was between two seria A teams, just like the la liga clubs did in 2000 and 2002

will the final ever be btw two EPL CLUBS??
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: The Galacticos (Real Madrid Fans Only) by ndubest(m): 11:15am On Mar 06, 2008
My heart goes out to all the Galactico fans

its was a sad night

but this is what sports is all about

win some, lose some

at least that making the winnning more exciting

if we can predict the winner of all matches, just by the names on team list, then fans will stop watching

just like Milan fans, NEXT YEAR IS ANOTHER YEAR
Sports / Re: Westerhof Again! (for Super Eagles) by ndubest(m): 4:39pm On Mar 03, 2008
yeah, its still a rumour but there is no smoke without fire

and for a credible news paper like Guardian to report it, shows that there may be some element of truth in it

she is not even a small girl for that matter, A PROFESSOR, CONSULTANT PEDIATRICAN

everything is understanding

she should just invite the guy over to watch her

He has not even see her play, so its just a mind set the guy has

after all, volley ball is not much of a contact sports

let her invite him over for just one game, or record one game and send the clip to him

he might change his mind

Sports / Re: Barcelona's Defense Error (barca Only) by ndubest(m): 3:44pm On Mar 03, 2008
The problem with our team is not the players but the style

If watch very well,
Thruam who was a regular in Juventus warms the Bench because he plays Seria A type of defence where you seat back and mark players

what Rijkard want is defenders that can move forward and support the midfield
thereby leaving the goal keeper at the mercy of his reflexes during counter attack

His style is the issue
am really embarrassed not just disappointed that Atletico can score 4 goals against us

Lets hope he doesnt play that style in champoins league

I think its high time, Dora Akunyili be called in to collect her rightful position which was denied her because she stepped on some political big toes in

her quest to sanitize the nation's food and drug industry

charity? did u just say blood donation is an act of charity? It should be but in the real world, it aint, I just can't picture a typical nigerian donating his / her blood, People are scared of folks using their blood for money rituals.

i tend to disagree with you on this

I donated and so many Nigerians are willingly and freely donating under the NBTS

In other words PDP finally won. cheesy

By hook or by crook!

I dey hail ooooooooooooooh!

Chai!

I guess there is more than one way to skin a cat! grin

The case will still go to Appeal court and i think the postion taken by RETYPE would have been the best way out

Annul the election and conduct fresh one instead declaring a candidate who you rightly noted did not win the voters mandate as winner

that the election was technically flawed by PPA presenting a wrong candidate does not make the person that came second the winner

well, "learned" gentlemen in court of appeal will have the final say
Politics / Re: Presidential Election Tribunal Upholds Yar'adua's Election by ndubest(m): 3:43pm On Feb 26, 2008
Am so glad that this is finally over cheesy cheesy

Instead of turning this nation into anarchy to satisfy personal interest of people who are not evening claiming they won the election, the tribunal did the right thing

Patrotism is all about putting the national interest ahead of personal gains

AL GORE WON THE USA ELECTION IN 2000 but for the sake of peace and patriotism he took the ruling of the Supreme court in good faith

I hope that Buhari and Atiku will not waste more money going to Court of Appeal

This case is closed
Politics / Re: Yar'dua's Carrot and Tribunal Verdict by ndubest(m): 1:41pm On Feb 26, 2008
Am Glad that the Judges Ruled in the favor of Yaradulll

at least we will leave the office today peacefully to our homes after work smiley smiley

Anyway
the Kenya experience is surely an eye opener for other African countries

at least Atiku and Buhari never claimed to have won the election
Politics / Re: Tribunal Voids Abia State Gov's Election; Reason, He Is A Cult Member by ndubest(m): 12:25pm On Feb 26, 2008
am confused here shocked shocked shocked

Is the tribunal there to determine what happened before or what happened during the election

Is the tribunal there to determine the eligibility of candidate or who won the election

please someone with a copy of the electoral law should educate me oooo

because i dont understand where you declare someone winner and still state that he didnt have majority of the vote cast in the election
Politics / Re: Yar'adua's Fate To Be Decided On The 26th-possible Outcomes by ndubest(m): 10:14am On Feb 26, 2008
I voted Yaradulllll during the last election smiley
reason

he is the lesser evil compared to other candidates

I dont think the tribunal will want to throw the nation into anarchy by nullifying this election

Meanwhile all those calling for Iwu removal are not thinking tactifully

How can yar adua remove Iwu when the case is still in tribunal

It's after all the ruling must have taken place then he can remove the man

if Iwu is removed who will come and answer some questions on the election irregularities

I think after today's ruling or after the appeal court ruling (if today's ruling is against the president), then Iwu would have completed his tenure cheesy cheesy cheesy and will then be asked to go HOME
