Politics / Re: Ekiti 2022: Labour Party Collpases Structure For Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji by Newboss(m): 12:31am On Jun 15, 2022
This says something about Labour Party.

It says that the party will support any candidate who they see as the best fit for a position.

This is what we need in Nigeria right now, not blind partisan politics.

We should focus on candidates, not political parties. If Peter Obi was APC or PDP flag bearer, I would still support him.

We should not jump from frying pan into fire. We should be mindful of extremism. Vote people, not parties.

Phones / Re: Relocating Soon Abroad What phone Should I buy by Newboss(m): 12:57pm On Jun 05, 2022
Bossman:
You are wrong! because a phone works in Nigeria does not mean it will work abroad. It will work only if it has the appropriate network bands. In the US for example, AT&T and Tmobile are shutting down their 3G network and the US and Nigeria use totally different 4G/LTE bands. If your phone used in Nigeria is not a global device with LTE/4G bands 2,4,5, 12/17, 30, 66, or 71 it will NOT work in the US. So that particular phone does not have any of those bands. So, it will not work here in the US.

You're capping nonsense.

There are global brands. Infinix, techno and Intel are built to work globally, just like Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc.

The bands you're talking about, check of Infinix supports any of those band before typing. Always put things in context

Don't see why I should buy it brand new , dollar is high, flight alone is over 700k, Lufthansa

Wait till you get abroad. It's cheaper there. That your Infinix will work anywhere on earth. Just put new sim inside
Phones / Re: Relocating Soon Abroad What phone Should I buy by Newboss(m): 12:35pm On Jun 04, 2022
It's cheaper abroad.

Android working in Nigeria will work in US, UK or Canada so long as it's not network locked

That's a big lie! All Nigerian ISP are slow, unreliable and capped. I remember days in the office, when the internet was completely shut down, unbearably slow or would just mysteriously get exhausted, we would be paying so much for something that would be giving us High blood pressure. Compared to starlink that is unbelievably fast and never gets exhausted... Did I also mention that up to a hundred people can connect at the same time?

Starlink also has network issues. Very common. Check some reviews.

Not all ISPs are slow. At least MTN is what I browse with and it's not slow.

BTW, starlink also has FUP at which your speed is throttled. All unlimited plans have it. Some ISPs won't tell you but others will tell you.

We always dream that the expensive ones should be better. They're usually our nightmares.

with an unlimited data

Yes. At least I know that mtn has.

If you're in Lagos or Abuja, you can even get fiber optic internet connected to your house by many ISPs.
Phones / Re: Elon Musk’s STARLINK Approved By Nigeria by Newboss(m): 10:59am On May 28, 2022
If you're in Lagos or Abuja and you use serious data at over 50mbps, go for unlimited fiber optic.

Haba na! How on earth do you even think that they will use same payment capacity they use abroad for Africa even though we know the man is from the US.

You should know the buying power of countries differ. They won't use the same payment price abroad for Africa.

Price will be set according to the nominal buying power of the citizens of the country it is launched.

It's a normal common sense something.

Shebi the running cost is lower in Africa? Or you think it's charity they're doing?

Price of Tesla is the same universally. In fact, there is a website for ordering Starlink.

It's the same price that everyone is paying on that website.

Do some digging before you jump into this. It's just business.

Elvis778:

Nah, they won't charge upto that amount in Nigeria, they charge according to the country's financial capabilities, Nigeria won't tax them as much as the other Nations and as such, the subscription will be within the reach of common Nigerians,
That's why Netflix subscription is around $9.99-$19.5 per month in the USA (approximately ₦5k-₦20k) but just ₦1,200 in Nigeria, same services.

Not true. You're comparing apples with oranges. Two different things.

Starlink price is the same globally. Do some digging before you buy that thing. Local is always the best when it comes to ISP

Every state in Nigeria needs an airport.

We should focus on making airports privately owned but strictly regulated by the government.

What we have now isn't peace.

Low-key Afghanistan.

Politicians are not the cause, the average Nigerian has serious issues. No politician can solve that problem. We keep working against our own interests, just like you're doing now.

That thing that happened in Sokoto will become very legal throughout Nigeria if those terrorists become your leaders.
