Politics / Re: Supreme Court Faults INEC For Partisan Role In Election Petition Cases by NiccoC(m): 8:19am On Feb 27, 2016 |
Since INEC has been proven to be partisan, doesn't that cast doubts on the credibility of the last general elections?? BTW, Buhari should fix and pass this budget to improve health care because of such diseases http://listernaija.com/2015/10/5-terrible-diseases-with-no-scientific-explanation/ |

Nairaland / General / Help In Training A Puppy by NiccoC(m): 9:48pm On Dec 03, 2013 |
i have a 1month old caucasian shepherd pup and i've been trying to potty-train it for some time now without success. he pees on the floor of my room and poops at the back of the dining area. i've tried designating a particular area on d verandah where he can go but he just doesn't poop when you take him there, preferring to wait for hours till whenever he has the chance to do it inside the house. this is really frustrating because continually cleanin out his poop nd scrubbing the rugs in the house is really tiring. i need your help, fellow nairalanders |

i refuse to believe this. how can a government that claims to have the interest of the people at heart embark on such frivolous and wasteful expenditure. if they'll just use half of that money to provide basic infrastructure, i'm sure the masses would appreciate that more. besides, how sure are they that d tiny group of people who they want to give the iPhones to can even use the phones i'm sure nokia 3310 would be a better gift. antique tinz |
Satellite TV Technology / Smaller Testicles Make For More Nurturing Fathers by NiccoC(m): 10:14am On Sep 11, 2013 |
We say it “takes balls” to tackle the tough things in life: to stand up for what’s right, to take big risks, and even, as Elizabeth Cooks croons, to be a woman. But one matter in which a large pair doesn’t come in handy, new research suggests, is being a good dad. For fathers, the volume of a man’s testicles is inversely related to nurturing activity in his brain, according to an Emory University study published Monday in Proceedings of the National Academy of Science. The heftier the sack, the results show, the less loving and engaged the pops. Gauging Affection The study’s authors sought to explore why some men are less involved in caregiving and upbringing of their children than others, so they recruited 70 Atlanta-area biological fathers of 1- and 2-year-olds. The researchers measured the size of subjects’ testicles, which is directly related to testosterone levels and sperm count. They also monitored participants’ neurological response to seeing pictures of their own children. Increased brain activity in the ventral tegmental area, a region often associated with motivation and strong feelings of love, was interpreted as a signal of greater parental care and involvement. The researchers found that men with larger testes showed less neural response to the pictures, while the dads with less testicular volume had higher brain activity, even in response to pictures of children that weren’t their own. Testosterone and Testicles “Our data suggest that the biology of human males reflects a trade-off between investments in mating versus parenting effort,” said James Rilling, the Emory researcher who led the study, in a press release. An increase in mating effort, the researchers found, suggests a decrease in parenting effort, and vice versa. This makes sense since lower testosterone levels could mean less impulsive aggression and thus greater empathy for children. Likewise, decreased libido and sperm count could leave men with more time and attention for their children. So while it certainly takes balls to be a father, bigger is not necessarily better. http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/d-brief/?p=3077#.UjCk4GKUmRc |

The president is just wasting billions of naira on this operation without any improvement. If shekau is dead why can't his body be shown so we will believe it. Boko haram is still killing people and the JTF are saying they are in control. obviously, u just want an unfortunate american soldier that you can latch unto. |

Webmasters / Re: 500 Internal Server Error by NiccoC(m): 7:09am On Sep 09, 2013 |
i've deleted all the .htaccess files but still no solution. i think the problem might be from the permissions. i tried to change the permissions with my ftp client (filezilla) but it shows an error message which might be because the server is a windows server while filezilla doesn't seem able 2 change permissions for windows servers. trying to change it from firefox b which brings up a page (attached below) and i have no idea on how to set the permissions to 755.
