Fashion / Black Lipstick- The New Makeup Trend by Nma28(f): 6:52pm On Sep 06, 2013
Black is a bold colour, however if you want to make a fashion statement black lipstick can be quite appropriate. There are things you need to know about applying and wearing black lipstick, and here are the tips to help you!
As shown at fashion shows and red carpet events, black lipstick is really coming back into trend.
Black lipstick is always bold and ultra-modern, so is better to learn how to wear it appropriately. The secrets of wearing black lipstick is the way to apply it. If you can’t apply it properly, it might look cheap and unattractive. Think of your outfit as well, before making such a bold fashion statement.
The key in wearing this fashion statement is keeping the eyes with practically no makeup, putting strong emphasis on the lips.
The only thing that will also go along with black lips is the black eyeliner. Another thing to consider is the eyebrows, as they need to be rather subtle, and not really visible, tone down the eyebrows, to get the effect.
One of the vital things to know about black lipstick is that the look must be perfect; so using a lip liner is a must. Fill in the space along the line that you drew, and make sure not to go over the lip line. Also consider the quality of lipstick, it should not be cheap or look cheap; this is the least you want to do if you want to appear elegant and stylish. Also, you have two options when wearing black: glossy or matte, and both look superb. It is also important to maintain the lipstick, so that it will stay on your lips all day.

So go rock it girl!

Fashion / Eyeliners: The Pros & Cons by Nma28(f): 8:13pm On Aug 01, 2013
There are different 3 basic types of eyeliners: cream, gel, and liquid. They all serve different purposes, do different things, and have different textures. Often times makeup lovers are not too sure which to use for a specific function or task. It is great to have one of these, it’s even better to know what you should be using them for.
Here's a breakdown of what each of their Pros and Cons are:

Gel Eyeliner
Pros...

Thicker shapes. Using gel on an angled brush is great for thicker and more defined shapes
Use as an eye shadow base. Rather than drawing with any type of eye liner on your lid as a base for shadow, gel is much more convenient.
Intense waterlines. If you want a very intense waterline, gel liner is best as it gives the proper pigmentation and density required.
Brows: If you want a super natural shaped brow, or your brow is very thin, use gel liner similar to the shade of your brows. This gives a very sharp and strong effect.
Gel liner has Smudge-ability which makes it easy to create a smouldering eye effect.

Cons...
· Gel liner won’t help if you plan to have a precise detail work that isn't a straight or angular line. This is due to its thickness and consistency.

If you don't put gel liner on the waterline, the creamier texture will get stuck on your lower lashes.

Pencil Eye Liners:

Pros...
· The pencil liner is excellent for defining the waterline in a conventional way.

Light smudging. Pencil liner is best for slight smudged look.
Lining the lash line. Should you require to line beneath the eye rather than the waterline, pencil will give you a smoother look.
Pencil liner is best for more natural look.

Cons...

Doing a designed liner is really hard because of its soft and thicker tip.
Intense looks. Pencil doesn't tend to have the opacity for intense looks.

Liquid Eyeliner:

Pros...

Liquid eyeliner has fine tipped applicators which are really great for getting a sharp line definition.
To achieve the unconventional shape, liquid eyeliner is best for this application.
Filling in small gaps. If you've applied false lashes and noticed that you can see the band, the fine tip of a liquid liner can be pushed into those gaps to fill them.
Liquid eyeliner holds glitter and glossy texture the best for your more creative ventures.

Cons...

It becomes so mess when properly lined.
Large concentrations of liquid liner will flake off very easily.
Once is dried, is like paint and difficult to smudge or blend.
Liquid liner cannot be applied softly due to its nature.

Which do you prefer?

Fashion / Know Your Makeup Dos And Don’ts by Nma28(f): 4:21pm On Jul 30, 2013
There are essential rules to follow when it comes to cosmetics and when it is not followed; it could cause serious harm on your skin. Here are some Makeup dos and don’ts to follow!

Don't use makeup products after it has expired. Discard it! Germs, oils, and bacteria collect in there and are then transferred into the skin. Read Here http://www.maryjanebeauty.com/2013/06/how-long-do-i-need-to-use-my-makeup.html#more for details.

Don't re-use disposable tools such as sponges, mascara wind, etc. Ideally these disposables are meant to be used once but a lot people use still infinity. The truth this that Sponges absorb bacteria which causes skin break out.

Don't re-use False Eyelashes. Hmmmm this is a hard one because we all do it even some Makeup Artists. Throw them out because germs collect on them and re-using can cause serious eye infections.

Don’t Share Makeup: Sharing makeup with friends or family or anyone. Sharing makeup products such as eyeliner, lipstick, mascara, etc transfers bacteria and infections from one skin to the other.

Do Use Oil-Free Cosmetics: The fewer chemicals in your makeup the better. Oil-free makeup is so important because it won’t clog your pores or make you break out.

Do sanitize your Makeup Brushes: Always sanitize your makeup brushes at least once in 2 weeks with a gentle shampoo and conditioner then allow them to air dry for several hours. By this process, you remove bacteria and germs from your brushes so they don’t transfer to your face causing break out on the skin.

Do Wash your Makeup off at Night: it is very wrong to sleep with makeup on your face. DO wash your face to remove makeup every night. Use a gentle makeup remover first; follow with a gentle cleanser and moisturizer. By doing so u are opening the pores and such prevent skin break out.

Please don’t be lazy to follow These Rules...you know it takes a lot to stay beautiful.

Fashion / Makeup Secrets For Every Woman (continued) by Nma28(f): 4:43pm On Jul 26, 2013
This is a continuation of my yesterday’s post. If you missed it Read Here http://www.maryjanebeauty.com/2013/07/makeup-secrets-for-every-woman.html#more. It is very important for every woman to know the basic makeup application secrets which you can use to highlight that natural beauty. Either you prefer natural look with nude lips or more dramatic look by applying red lipstick, there are basic ways to go about your makeup application. The list below is the basic makeup application secrets for every woman. Enjoy it!

Foundation Application Tips
The aim of any makeup look is to achieve a perfect and even complexion therefore special attention is required while applying foundation in other to achieve the aim.

Liquid foundation is usually easier to apply. So I recommend you use one. Shake the container (bottle, tube, etc.) to ration all the pigment particles then apply to your face paying attention to hairline, ear lobes, jaw line, and the under the eye area.

Eyeliner Tips
Eyeliner is the exceptional makeup device with the help of which you can make your eye pop. I recommend you opt for liquid eyeliner as it’s the best to fill the space on the lash-line that makes the lashes appear thicker.

Lipstick Tips
Always exfoliate your lips; it will help the lips with smoother lipstick application. Please read up the process on lips exfoliation http://www.maryjanebeauty.com/2013/07/diy-lip-exfoliating.html. If you have small lips, avoid dark red or brown lipstick.

Eye shadow Tips
To add the vibrant eye look, apply a bit of shining eye shadow in the middle of your eyelids over your base eye shadow tone. This will definitely pop up your eyes.

Now you know the secrets..are u going to apply them?

Fashion / Makeup Secrets For Every Woman by Nma28(f): 1:11pm On Jul 25, 2013
It is a known fact that makeup enhances a woman’s natural beauty. Professional makeup artists help in choosing the right makeup, based on your facial structure. There are still basic secrets that can be used by every woman.

Below are some DIY makeup secrets to try out. enjoy it!

EYES:

1. To add volume to your lashes: Use loose powder, dust it over your eyelashes and apply mascara on it.
2. To wake up your eyes: Apply concelar, highlighting pencil or sliver colour eye liner on the water lash-line.
3. To transform daily/natural look makeup to evening/night look: Apply a bright shade on the upper eyelid under the eyebrows, and highlight the eyelashes line with a dark eye pencil.

FACE
1. For a quick makeup touch-up: Apply loose powder on the face for more smooth and matte finish.
2. To get rid of excess oil on the face during the evening/night outing: use a blotting paper rather than powder.
3. You want your makeup to look fresh all day: All makeup applications must be done on a cleansed skin.
4. To freshen up tired skin, clean it with mixture of lemon juice and water in equal proportion.

LIPS
1. If you are staying indoors for a long period of time, use matte shades of bright colours.
2. For an informal outing: go for a glossy lipstick.
3. To plump up your lips: Apply a pencil of a lighter shade of the lipstick round the lip line, add some cream/balm on your lips first and then apply a matte lipstick.
4. If you have thin lips, do not apply lip gloss, rather use powder as a base for your lipstick.

More coming your way in my next post........

Fashion / How To Choose The Correct Lipstick Formula by Nma28(f): 10:51am On Jul 24, 2013
When buying a lipstick, you will notice that there are lots of lip coloring products such as lip gloss, lip stains, lip balm and the traditional lipstick, thus making choices becomes complicated and confusing. As normal as it creams, satins, stains, soft mattes, and glosses are for natural looks. In other words, Metallic glitters, and high-gloss styles, irrespective of the color, are generally not for everyday look.
Always bear in mind the type of formula you feel comfortable with; remember style is all about comfort.

The breakdown below shows variety of formulas and how they tend to feel on your lips.

Gloss/Tint or Stain: Gloss lipsticks have a thick and gummy formula. Gloss lipsticks hydrate the lips and tend to create a clam look on the lips especially during dry seasons. Some products offer better and long staying formulas, so this is definitely a must have for every woman.

Sheer Lipsticks: Sheer lipstick is a natural lip colour. It can be used rather than lip balm because of its moisturizing qualities that enhances the natural lip color.. It is an alternative for women who don’t fancy gloss lipsticks or full-coverage lipsticks. It is perfect to create a natural look.

Cream Lipstick: Cream lipsticks provide you with the most coverage and look a bit glossy or moist. It’s a great way to pop up the lip colour as they can be highly pigmented. Cream lipsticks are best worn with lip liner of natural or same colour as the lipstick. The lip liner prevents the lipstick from bleeding. Remember to choose one that suits your skin tone and undertones.

Matte Lipsticks
: Matte lipstick is one that has a dry finish. It doesn’t shine and is completely gloss-free. It is hard to pull off because of its dry texture and can cake-up the lips. Matte lipstick can also make the lips look thinner especially in bright and dark colours so it’s important to choose the right colour when buying one. To pull off matte lipsticks, it is better to dab a very little of gloss lipstick or lip balm.

Once you've choose the right colour and formula, feel free to experiment with different levels of that tone. For night looks, increase the intensity of the selected shade. For daytime look, opt for a softer and more casual colour. Once you've found the perfect look, make it your signature and rock it!

Nobody talked about the couples outfit.

As you choose a professional photographer, you also need to look your best to bring out the best of pictures.

so couples, specially the bride, what you wear that day goes a long way to tell your story as all eyes would be on you.

even if it means cutting down the number of guest to get a good wedding dress, good makeup by a professional makeup artist and a good hair stylist for that perfect hair do.

The above point is very important as they are things to keep you happy all through and not the foods and drinks.

Right now I watch football alone when he is not @ home. We discuss matches, managers, players, transfer, table, etc. My dear, the best thing u can do is to develop interest so u can enjoy ur man and the game.

I have never wanted de engagement ring...I prayed to God dat anybody that wants to marry me must not take longer than 6months to make it happen. My boy friend then now my Hubby proposed to me without a ring and with 6months we did both trad and church wedding for the question, it should not be longer than 6months...don't be afraid just take a step before you know it is done, God always has a way of solving our problems. Secondly, we should always pray ahead about thing like this even as a single person, how you want your future to be, God will honour it.
