Lady Fumes As Kilishi She Bought Turns Out to be Rubber

A young Nigerian girl is in pain and has alerts the public after discovering that the kilishi she bought in Abuja was rubber covered with strong suya pepper.

@timiobong, a TikTok user, came to the video-sharing site to reveal her discovery after receiving Kilishi as a present from her father during his vacation to Abuja.

According to the lady, she noticed something off about the flavor of the dried meat and decided to explore by cleaning it with a sponge.

She was startled to learn that the kilishi was not composed of flesh, but of synthetic rubber liberally covered with suya spice.

β€œMy dad went to Abuja, and I begged him to buy me kilishi when he returned to Lagos,” she captioned the video.

Reacting to the post;

mae_mae576 quizzed: β€œJesus Christ, how did you find out it wasn’t really kilishi. Thank God you didn’t consume it πŸ™.”

calidad.ng stated: β€œIn 2018, a friend of mine bought it for me, decided to add it to my soup and I heated it up and it came out exactly like this, since then I stopped eating it.”

Princess Nie penned: β€œJesus I thought the pepper was much and you were trying to wash it out ahhπŸ’”.”

treasurepaul1 stated: β€œNo be lie thought as much, I don go chop rubber that day.”

Education / Informational Meditation by Normally3D: 3:58am On Jun 28
It is not getting the information that matters, but what we do with it afterwards is what makes the difference.

It takes time, patience and discipline to sit down and take in information.

When you consistently do it, it will lead to a wealthy and well, sharpened mind.

Just as it takes discipline and a good exercise to have a healthy body, good information that is taken in after a careful time investment makes someone to have a healthy mind.

A rich minded person is a rich man.

What you feed your mind with determines what comes out of it.

Information gives you value,so go for more of it, be well informed.

Knowledge is not important if it has not been able to enhance one's creativity.

An idea comes like a flash, something bigger than can be imagined comes in a flash within a moment, you can just sit here now and remember accurately a place you have been many years ago, this capacity of the mind can be used creatively, you can create a picture of your tomorrow, and if you really know where you are going, you will be conscious of how to get there.

The shortest pencil is greater than the longest memory also the faintest pencil is sharper than the sharpest memory.
This is a practical reality.

Be a crazy writer! Do not pity paper!
most times ideas or messages like this comes in moments of relaxation or meditation.

The game of life has tricky rules, and you have to master them to survive.think twice before you talk or act.

Seek God's wisdom so that you know the right thing to do at the right time and in the right way.

I disagree, as Tinubu has shown strong leadership and vision for Nigeria, and his determination to improve the country is driven by his desire to make a positive impact, not greed.
After everything has gotten out of hand then they will result in collecting excessive loans for the ignorant one's to loot it back to themselves.

Food / Re: How To Mix The Perfect Cocktail by Normally3D: 3:51pm On Jun 25
thejaachi:
Whether you’re hosting a party, enjoying a night out, or simply relaxing at home, the ability to craft a well-made cocktail is a valuable skill. A perfectly mixed drink can enhance your entire experience, transforming a standard beverage into a delightful sensory exploration. But achieving that perfect cocktail balance of flavours, aromas, and textures takes a bit of know-how.

Well, do not worry; with these essential tips and techniques, you’ll be mixing up professional-grade cocktails in no time. Read along as I show you just how to mix the perfect cocktail.

Start with Quality Ingredients
The foundation of any exceptional cocktail lies in the quality of its components. This means using fresh, high-quality spirits, juices, syrups, and other mixers. Avoid pre-made mixes or inferior liquors, as they will only undermine your final product.

For your base spirit, select a bottle that you genuinely enjoy sipping neat or on the rocks. The flavour of the spirit will be the star of the show, so make sure it’s one you find pleasing. Popular cocktail spirits include gin, vodka, rum, tequila, whiskey, and brandy.

When it comes to mixers, prioritise fresh citrus juices, homemade syrups, and premium tonics or sodas. Pre-made juices and syrups are often packed with artificial sweeteners and preservatives that can taste flat or cloying in a cocktail. Take the extra time to squeeze your own lemon, lime, or orange juice for a vibrant, aromatic mixer. Need mixer ideas? Click here to see our choice of mixers and syrups.

Invest in the Right Barware
Having the proper glassware and tools on hand will make the mixing process much smoother. At a minimum, you’ll need a cocktail shaker, strainer, jigger (or small measuring cup), muddler, and a selection of appropriate glassware.

The classic cocktail shaker is essential for properly diluting and chilling your drinks. A basic three-piece shaker, consisting of a bottom tin, top tin, and built-in strainer, is a great starting point. Fill it with ice, add your ingredients, and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds to chill and integrate the flavours.

A sturdy metal jigger is invaluable for accurately measuring your spirit, juice, and syrup portions. This ensures consistent, balanced cocktails every time. Avoid free-pouring, as it’s easy to over- or under-pour ingredients.

Finally, select glassware that complements the style of cocktail. Highball glasses are great for long drinks like gin and tonics, while rocks glasses are perfect for serving cocktails on the rocks. Coupe or martini glasses lend an elegant touch to stirred, spirit-forward libations.

Understand Cocktail Ratios
At the heart of a well-made cocktail lies the careful balance of its ingredients. Most classic cocktail recipes adhere to specific ratios that have been perfected over decades of bartending experience. The basic formula for a classic cocktail is:
2 parts base spirit
1 part sweet
1 part sour

For example, a Daiquiri is made with 2 parts rum, 1 part lime juice, and 1 part simple syrup. A Manhattan uses 2 parts whiskey, 1 part sweet vermouth, and a dash of bitters. Of course, there’s room for creativity and experimentation within this framework. You can play with the ratios to suit your personal taste preferences. Just be mindful not to stray too far from the established balance, or the flavours may become overpowering or imbalanced.

Master the Techniques
Proper cocktail technique is crucial for achieving the ideal texture, dilution, and presentation. Let’s break down a few key methods:

Shaking vs. Stirring
As a general rule, cocktails containing citrus juice, cream, or egg white should be shaken, while spirit-forward, booze-heavy drinks should be stirred. Shaking vigorously helps emulsify and aerate the ingredients, creating a luxuriously frothy texture. Stirring gently with ice chills dilutes the cocktail without adding excess air.

Glassware Preparation
For certain cocktails, preparing the glass can enhance the overall experience. This may involve rimming the glass with salt or sugar, or chilling the glass in the freezer before serving.
